Location Staff Courtyard Breakfast Clean Rooms
Amazing set-up for breakfast in an interior patio with well trained and amicable staff
I like the location of the hotel very much, but I didn't like the room at all, it was very small you feel that it's too tied we moving in it hardely, when I complaint to the front desk they this the room booked to you, I asked them to change to bigger one they said, that it will be more expensive , I said no problem I will pay the difference then they said sorry but there is no avilabilatey.
Best location, the hotel was good at recommending other excellent restaurants in Rome. Really great location for sightseeing.
Excelent location. Impecable staff and services.
Location, Friendly Staff, specialy the roof resturant cheef waitors, always smiling and very helpful,
Cleanliness, entrance area needs uplifting,
The location was great but there are much better options in the same area.
Everything else was a disappointment to say the least. The description boasts a marvelous terrace - which is a complete sham cause it either does not exist or was not open. Breakfast is not serves there so don't except a wonderful view from the hotel. Supposedly breakfast is served until 10:30 but we went there at 9:45 and nothing was left (no warm dishes, no eggs, barely any fruit), we had to wait ten minutes just to get clean glasses for juice. Complete disgrace for the price they're asking. Guest relations were very polite but rest of reception and concierge staff were stern and seemed like they were doing us a great favor when answering any question or request. Top that with the fact that the hotel is ancient - not just in terms of decor and taste, but everything is worn out. Absolutely not a 5 star establishment. There are plenty of other amazing options in the same area. Choose them!
Not a 5 star property. Very tired and really did not offer anything the intercontinental label has to offer. Rooms were very old. Facilities were none. Overall terrible experience.
Nice staff, specially Concierge.... Very nice breakfast restaurant and quality. Very good location....
Very OLD hotel... small lobby... it is like a museum but not comfortable for stay. Too far from other Intercontinental... I booked a big Queen or King, however they told they just have two single!!!! Very cheap to put a complementary. bottle of water
I have been staying at this hotel over 20 years. I love it.
Location cleanliness of room and excellent bedlinen Front of house staff were very charming and helpful Lovely public areas including terrace and outdoor dining
Restaurant staff were remote and poorly informed.No-one told us how breakfast operated- we had to ask. My son was informed the kitchen had no gluten-free bread in spite of having had a gluten free burger the evening before. Bread was eventually produced after speaking to the Maitre De Excessive charges for small things like water, wi-fi, also a mysterious charge appeared on our credit card $38.00 AUD when we arrived home. No clue what it was for,
The location of the hotel was very good. Hotel room was clean and tidy. Unfortunately very small..
The recepcionist lady was rude. I think, she isn't adequately quallified for a 5 star hotel. I checked out the hotel 2 days before, because the hotel room was very small. And they have charged bigger penalty (360 euro) , than they have declared to booking.com (265 euro) . It isn't a kind behavior..
Location is tops we have stayed here before and there is nothing not to like after all it's a historic building that has been imaqulatly maintained, all the staff are so helpfull in every aspect and breakfast is amazing, we had dinner on the terace on 6th floor on our last night the food, service and the views over Rome was spectacular all with a live musician to serenade as well what a way to end our stay in Rome.
That we had to leave
Friendly staff and good location
Hotil furneture a bit old
excellent Location excellent Staff excellent roof top ding excellent breakfast patio
The mattress was old and uncomfortable. They could use a better and more active bar.
Excellent location by the Spanish Steps!
Hotel needs remodeling!
Excellent location, it's a few seconds away from the Spanish Steps. The view from the rooftop bar is stunning though the musak (think bad beauty salon music) needs an update.
My toilet seat was broken and room service was very erratic in nature. The first time I ordered, a potable table was brought in by two staff and set up - it was beautiful, with breads and oils and balsamic vinegar. The next time, just a man with a tray arrived. The breakfast buffet was also very expensive at 37 euros and the food very average. I asked about wifi and they charge 18euros a day. Disappointing.
Pricey food an liqueur
excellent location and staff Good rooftop restaurant Good breakfast
porters need to negotiate your taxi, especially airport taxi
Loved the location, the people and our room. Nice size for Rome. Close to everything.
AMAZING WEDDING VENUE!! We got married in St. Isidores College Church and held the reception at the Intercontinental De La Ville Rome (~5 min walk between the two). From the first visit to see the hotel, the team were absolutely amazing and the venue on the top floor was spectacular – best panoramic views of Rome without a doubt. Nothing we asked for was ever a problem – from the music to the flowers, open bar, layout etc everything was handled in a timely and professional manner. The day of our wedding was just seamless from start to finish. While we availed of a horse drawn carriage to take photographs at the many local tourist attractions, our guests were treated to a champagne reception coupled with delicious canapés. All the staff in the hotel were so friendly and helpful and made our guests feel at home. The reception was held in the top floor suite (840) with a large private terrace that was perfect for dining, particularly with the views and the embellishments of additional lighting, flowers, plants, candles and the decorated tables were flawless– it really was magical. The meal and the multitude of courses was without doubt a gastronomical experience in typical Italian style with 5 star service from start to finish, all our guests are still raving about the food. The staff were always on hand to offer extra servings and afterwards cleared a dance area in record time. We cannot recommend the Intercontinental De La Ville Rome highly enough, the location, the staff, the service , everything was faultless and immaculate!!
Room was tiny
Very expensive and poor mobile network coverage Also, the bath room panio getting plugged easly due to old facilities.
