Hotel Iris  

the location was the best part. It was within walking distance to St. Lucia staion. however the hotel was vague about its location when called. there wasnt a proper map to follow on the website

the room smelled like something had died in it. the staff agreed that it was offensive but said that it was because it was Venice and this is what can be expected. The bathroom was filthy with mould all over the floor and ;the shower curtain. the staff were not very helpful or sympathetic and their attitude was 'this is venice what do you expect'.

This is the worst hotel in my life. Information is completely false. Breakfast is not a "buffet" and a continental breakfast. Free Wi-Fi was only in public areas and at certain times. Discount in the restaurant tenants are not represented. We ordered a smoking room, but we were denied. Smoking areas available. The room was damp, dark and small. There was one small window. The room had a horrible smell. Heating was not. Furniture is old and worn. In the hotel corridors littered sacks and garbage.

Locationwas good /// Howeverv .... the place was a building site! On the morning I was leaving there was no electricity upstairs and I had to pack in the dark. I would not recommend or ever stay in this hotel again.

Very difficult to find. The location on the google map is wrong.

The location is wonderful Not far from the city centre and at the same time quiet.

We thought the staff was very friendly and helpful, I am sure they are aware that the management doesn't care much for what the never ending flow of tourists in Venice think about the hotel! The hotel attitude is why bother to repaint, offer decent showers and wash the bedspreads, we'll always have clients because we are in Venice...and, sad to say, they are right!

The location was decent and, if you go at any time other than Carnevale, it is probably a quiet neighborhood. The rooms were clean and the price was good.

The man working the front desk during the day was incredibly rude and unhelpful. When we asked him for advice on getting to Burano, he said, "I don't know, I've never been there" and didn't even attempt to assist. The breakfast is very basic and is only served from 8-9:30.

Proximité des lieux touristiques d'intérêt et d'une station de vaporetto. Le grand calme : quasiment les seuls dans l'hôtel... Avantage : une chambre avec douche.

La basse saison fait que le restaurant attenant est fermé et que les petits- déjeuners sont servis à .... 600 mètres de là, dans un café place Margherita... Par temps froid et humide, on s'en passerait bien. Le petit déjeuner continental annoncé ne comprend qu'un petit café et un petit croissant... Le café n'ouvrant qu'à 8 heures, le départ le dimanche matin s'est fait sans petit-déjeuner, pourtant payé par avance...

La posizione relativamente alla città , cioè alla distanza da stazione, traghetti, canal grande. La posizione relativamente al quartiere : molto caratteristica, a ridosso di un canale per un lato ed una via molto stretta per l'altro, vicino a servizi più comodi piuttosto che al caos delle zone dei negozi di lusso , cioè prossimità di bar a prezzi decenti, etc. Bellezza a 360 gradi con ponti, campielli , canali. La mia stanza era molto gradevole e il personale molto gentile e disponibile. Al momento del saldo NON mi hanno imposto l'alternativa "con carta tot, in contanti 20 euro di meno", non ho dovuto chiedere la ricevuta fiscale (o la fattura) perché ...l'hanno data per scontata :)

La qualità della colazione andrebbe migliorata. Il cibo è troppo industrializzato e a basso costo. Si percepisce la ricerca del massimo margine di risparmio. Se la colazione internazionale non fosse obbligatoria, io tenderei a fare adeguare gli stranieri ad una più semplice colazione italiana con cornetti e brioches di alta qualità (riducendo la scelta). C'erano lavori di ristrutturazione in corso con conseguenti disagi. Al "comfort" avrei dato ottimo se il sabato sera non ci fosse stata musica da spaccare i timpani fino a mezzanotte in un locale sottostante.

Als wir Abends um 23 Uhr vor dem Hotel ankammen war es geschlossen. Es hingt lediglich ein Zettel an der Türe das wir uns ins Hotel Astoria begeben sollen, welches über 2km entfernt war. Es fehlten auch genaue Informationen wo sich das Hotel befand.
