Location was good for walking in the village of Cortona. The breakfast room has a great view and the breakfast was great.

Room was attractive and the hotel is in a central location in Cortona. Staff was extremely kind and helpful.

No seating area except a desk in my room. The hotel has a beautiful rooftop terrace which is unfortunately only open for breakfast. It would be a lovely spot to view the city and countryside at other times of the day.

An excellant location within the town walls, 1 minute from the main square. Large clean bathroom with a nice large shower. The reception staff more than helpful.

If your room is facing onto the front street, occasionally can be noisy late into the evening.

Staff were very helpful and polite. Views from dining area were beautiful - a stunning way to start the day.

The Hotel booked a group of about 30 students (about 12 years of age) and while they appeared to be good kids, the noise they made was unbearable. The Hotel should not have mixed regular visitors with basically unchaperoned kids. Travelers who book a hotel room should have the presumption that the hotel will be quiet and restful, and not a summer camp atmosphere.

Excellent comfortable hotel in good location and open in low season. Plus very warm, breakfast served in your room at any requested time. Free wi-fi. Very convenient for business.

WiFi siganl very spotty. Staff helped as best they could. Fix this and it was perfect!

We arrived ;ate due to rail strike, the receptionist was excellent, concerned and keen to help us out. She recommended restaurant just outside the hotel which was really good and very good value for money. She was always friendly and helpful.

The building and location

The breakfast- appalling coffee. Something should be done.

Beautiful rooms in a beautiful building in an absolutely beautiful town. A great location, breakfast included, would highly recommend.

Although it was an innocent mistake, one staff member gave us incorrect directions to the bus pick up location in town. This caused us to nearly miss our train back to Rome. He was apologetic however and arranged taxi for us.

The staff was wonderful, and gave us great recommendations for restaurants. The rooms were also lovely.

Great location in the heart of Cortona. Hotel is lovely and charming. The hotel staff is excellent and are more than willing to help you out. Would absolutely come back here. Breakfast room has a splendid view of the countryside and the breakfast was great.

The only negative is that I had an extremely hard mattress. So long as you put a blanket under the sheets to provide a bit of comfort it was fine.

We highly recommend this hotel. It is located right in the heart of Cortona, was great value for money and clean and tidy. The staff were ultra friendly.

Fabulous location right near the centre of Cortona, friendly helpful staff, lovely building and I had stunning views over the terracotta rooftops of Cortona and the valley beyond.

The location of this hotel is only steps away from the main square of Cortona where all the shops and restaurants are found. The very top floor is where they serve a pleasant continental breakfast with an excellent view over the rooftops of the countryside. We had a corner room with a large bed and an extra for our daughter. The room was large with a good size bathroom. The staff were very friendly and spoke excellent english and were very helpful with driving and parking directions for the hotel, which is in a very tight alleyway.

Unfortunately, this room had only one high window and it would not stay open. The air conditioning unit runs on a remote and of course they don't make it available to guests until probably July to save money. I just wanted some air flow as the room was stuffy and the walls are not well insulated from noisy neighbors and overhead footsteps.

Hotel Italia is a great little hotel. Excellent location with local cafes and restaurants and only a short direct walk from the train station and a 20 minute walk to the Spanish steps! It's clean and comfortable, but what makes it really special is the wonderful, helpful, friendly staff, always ready with a coffee, on arrival, in the morning and any time during the day. It's a little hidden, on the main road but behind two great wooden doors, a push of the buzzer will get you in

It wa cleaan and well decorated. Breakfast was very nice..better than in a 4 stars hotel.

I cannot complaint..it is a perfect place for a small town !! but actually I could not pay with credit card becuase they had a problem and there are no cash points nearby.

A wonderful hotel in a great location and I loved almost everything ....

Si trova in ottima posizione in un palazzo d'epoca molto particolare. Buona la colazione. Personale molto gentile alla reception.
