Score from 568 reviews Very good
Aquarius Inn is a 10-minute walk from the Termini Train Station and 3 metro stops from the Colosseum. It offers a bright accommodation with Persian carpets and high-speed Wi-Fi.
Score from 130 reviews Exceptional
The Hotel Selene is just off Via Nazionale, a popular shopping street which leads to Repubblica Metro Station and to Roma Termini Train Station.
Score from 948 reviews Very good
The front desk was helpful
The room was extremely small. The bathroom was the smallest I've ever seen, plus the water would be either freezing cold or boiling hot when showering. The room was dusty to the point that my fiancé suffered an asthma attack.
This is a small, pleasant hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The location was just perfect for us - near the Termini and Repubblica metro station, but on walking distance to all major sites in the heart of Rome, and the neighborhood is nice as well. Our room was good and very clean and breakfast was ok. Altogether, it was excellent value for money and we could recommend this hotel.
The first two days the WiFi didn't work in our room, only in the lobby, but after that, it was repaired.
Near to the metro station, termini station,we could walk to the main Rome attractions from there.Staff was polite, breakfast was ok,room was quiet.
Not a value for money hotel. Our room had two single beds and not one double as agreed , it was smelling like mould sometimes and was too warm.Generally It was clean enough but bathroom could be cleaner.
The staff were so friendly and helpful and really added to our trip. The room was beautiful and we looked forward to coming home each day!
Sometimes the wifi wasn't very strong, but other than that I'd strictly recommend hotel italia to anyone! I would go back there in a heartbeat
Excellent location, pretty nice staff, and good price. Best option if you like to spend many hours visiting the city and using the hotel only for sleeping.
It is not the most comfortable place, so if you are the king of person who likes to spend a lot of hours at the hotel, look for another one.
Cool lift, veery retro.closeness to all tourist spots,we could walk everywhere.Breakfast was ok, but not very imaginative.
People were great at this hotel, very helpful and with easy access to the Cental Station and a main bus route on Via Natzionale.
The Internet connection is very slow.
As a frequent visitor of Rome I can admit that the central location of the hotel allows easy access to any place in the city. Front desk clerk Abdul was very helpful and hospitable. Hotel rooms were near and regularly cleaned, breakfast was quite nice, coffee in particular. Next time I will definitely prefer this hotel. By the way, wi-fi connection in the room was good. Do not search for a hotel, book this one directly.
- Clean rooms - Good location
- Wi-fi was so slow pretty much non existent. - Breakfast is really bad. inedible. - No windows or ventilation in the hotel. Even in winter it was suffocating.
The staff were very friendly, and did their best to apprise as of methods to avoid pickpockets. The room was nice and spacious, though a bit stuffy. There is a very good sandwich place just next to the entrance.
The room was a bit stuffy, but the road outside was very busy so we couldn't open the window at night.
As three friends, we stayed in an amazing hotel in Rome in the month of december. We were welcomed by a really cheerful person whose name is Abdul. Breakfast is suitable for everyone from different cultures. The rooms are quiet confortable and clean. Every single detail for your comfort is already been taken care of. Hotel Italia is located in a very good location. The bus stop is just in front of the hotel and it takes only 15 minutes to get to Termini by walk. It’s on the Via Nazionale Revenu which is a lively shopping center of the city. I’d like say thank you to Abdul, the hotel owner and to all the hotel staff...
Location, cleanliness, comfy bed, simple breakfast but good service for coffee.
Small shower with weird doors that got the floor flooded, we were charged extra to get towels to clean the mess, impossible to get internet connection, unfriendly owner seem to make his staff edgy. If you can, pay a little more and go somewhere else. This place will not make your visit to Rome memorable for the right reasons.
Good location and breakfast Nice and clean and quiet. Everything you need for a good nights sleep.
For the price it was v good but basic. Single bed, desk and chair. perhaps not for you if you are used to classic luxury hotels. Wifi connection was poor.
Clean, excellent value for money
Window blind did not work in one room
Breakfast is good and delicious. The staff are nice and friendly.
The bathroom is a bit too small. Water sometimes goes too hot or too cold during shower. Wifi connection is poor in the room.
Great location, clean, comfortable, helpful staff; good quality of breakfast
Wi-fi coverage was average with dead spots and even when connected the bandwidth was very low making difficult even basic internet browsing; breakfast could improve with more choices
The location was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were small, but functional, and very clean and neat as was the lobby and dining area. There was a nice breakfast buffet.
The WiFi was spotty in the room, better in the lobby. It seemed to be a function of both the WiFi system in the hotel as well as the incoming internet connection.
Small, quite hotel, 10-minute walk from the Termini station, and within walking distance from all major attractions in Rome, yet in a very quiet street (BTW: a great trattoria just outside). Very good for this money, very helpful Staff and very sincere. Stayed there twice this year and will come back
The wifi doesn't work well in all rooms, the signal is strong in the lobby though. Also, my mobile didn't have the signal while I was in my room. My room was also located next to the closet with all clean towels etc. so it was a bit loud since 7:00 AM, but not too bad.
very well placed, good comfort for such money
bad soundproof for doors - everything happening in corridor is like happening in your room
The location was perfect. Easy walk, even with luggage, to the Termini and it's a short walk to the bus stop or the Metro to get to the Vatican. It also was a nice stroll to the Colosseum. There is an excellent restaurant right across the stret as well, which was extremely convenient after a full day of walking. There are actually three restaurants in a row. Be sure to pick the one the center, with the larger outdoor eating area. The one to the right of it was terrible and therefore usually empty.
Not much really. Fresh fruit in the morning would have been a wonderful addition. Also, if taking a bus be sure you google the nearest large street on Via Nazionale so you know where to get off. The hotel is on a tiny two block street called Via Venezia. The driver took us to Piazza Venezia instead.
Perfect locations walk distance to everywhere you want to see. 5-10 mins walk to termini train station where you pick the bus to both airports to rome. nice breakfasts and great stuff. just asked them and they will help. the rooms are clean as well.
just the tap in our room that went cold when we were there. It was warm but there were couple of times that i guess the warm water runs out.
Family run hotel, nice atmosphere.
I reserved a single room but they gave me a double room because of the other reservation conflict, which was a real luck for me :) The room was clean and nice. There were a kettle and coffee/tea etc. in the room, and all were refreshed every day. The breakfast was small but delicious. The serving personnel were kind and helpful.
The wi-fi connection was so weak that I couldn’t work on the computer at all. It took minutes even to check e-mails. The signboard of the hotel was small. It was hard to see and find the location at the first time we arrived. The prices might be a little cheaper.
Staff was great. Tried to help and offered good tips to make travel easier and relieve stress. Breakfast was very good, with a variety of food and drink. Room was extremely clean and quiet, even if it was very small. All we needed really - and so well situated with respect to sites, restaurants and grocery store!
Shower was extremely tiny and difficult to move around in. Definitely hard (if not impossible!) to wash anything below the knees!! And in making this comment, I have to add we are not large people, nor do we have any physical limitations. For some people, the shower facility we had would be totally inaccessible. And after a day of walking in the streets, having the facility to take a good shower is very important!
