With a quiet yet central location just around the corner from the Trevi Fountain, the Hotel Julia is in a 19th-century building just 320 yards from Barberini Metro Station.
Score from 1212 reviews Very good
Small, quite hotel, 10-minute walk from the Termini station, and within walking distance from all major attractions in Rome, yet in a very quiet street (BTW: a great trattoria just outside). Very good for this money, very helpful Staff and very sincere. Stayed there twice this year and will come back
The wifi doesn't work well in all rooms, the signal is strong in the lobby though. Also, my mobile didn't have the signal while I was in my room. My room was also located next to the closet with all clean towels etc. so it was a bit loud since 7:00 AM, but not too bad.
very well placed, good comfort for such money
bad soundproof for doors - everything happening in corridor is like happening in your room
The location was perfect. Easy walk, even with luggage, to the Termini and it's a short walk to the bus stop or the Metro to get to the Vatican. It also was a nice stroll to the Colosseum. There is an excellent restaurant right across the stret as well, which was extremely convenient after a full day of walking. There are actually three restaurants in a row. Be sure to pick the one the center, with the larger outdoor eating area. The one to the right of it was terrible and therefore usually empty.
Not much really. Fresh fruit in the morning would have been a wonderful addition. Also, if taking a bus be sure you google the nearest large street on Via Nazionale so you know where to get off. The hotel is on a tiny two block street called Via Venezia. The driver took us to Piazza Venezia instead.
Perfect locations walk distance to everywhere you want to see. 5-10 mins walk to termini train station where you pick the bus to both airports to rome. nice breakfasts and great stuff. just asked them and they will help. the rooms are clean as well.
just the tap in our room that went cold when we were there. It was warm but there were couple of times that i guess the warm water runs out.
Family run hotel, nice atmosphere.
I reserved a single room but they gave me a double room because of the other reservation conflict, which was a real luck for me :) The room was clean and nice. There were a kettle and coffee/tea etc. in the room, and all were refreshed every day. The breakfast was small but delicious. The serving personnel were kind and helpful.
The wi-fi connection was so weak that I couldn’t work on the computer at all. It took minutes even to check e-mails. The signboard of the hotel was small. It was hard to see and find the location at the first time we arrived. The prices might be a little cheaper.
Staff was great. Tried to help and offered good tips to make travel easier and relieve stress. Breakfast was very good, with a variety of food and drink. Room was extremely clean and quiet, even if it was very small. All we needed really - and so well situated with respect to sites, restaurants and grocery store!
Shower was extremely tiny and difficult to move around in. Definitely hard (if not impossible!) to wash anything below the knees!! And in making this comment, I have to add we are not large people, nor do we have any physical limitations. For some people, the shower facility we had would be totally inaccessible. And after a day of walking in the streets, having the facility to take a good shower is very important!
Everything about the hotel was as we expected,it was central to all the sights and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ample and well served,
There was nothing I didn't like.
Great location, walking distance almost to all touristic places. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are small but are very nice
WiFi didn’t work properly in our room The rooms near the dining room are very loud starting from 7:00 (breakfast hours)
Nice room, good location, good brakfast.
Small bathroom, a bit noisy, however you can always close the window and switch on an AC
rooms, breakfast kitchen area, breakfast, location, reception staff
A good value for money hotel with friendly helpful staff and excellent location.few minutes walk to most of the main touristic spots, would definitely stay there again.
Great help at the main desk, no trouble finding the place. Close to many things of importance in Rome. Very friendly staff, great room.
WiFi did not work. They did let me use their laptop to do my check in with the airline.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Italia. Staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful. Our room was in the main hotel with an extremely comfortable bed. The hotel is in a great location and a 10 minute walk from the train station with the Colosseum, Roman Forum etc. being a 10/15 minute walk. We plan to return to Rome and would definitely stay in the Hotel Italia again. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.
Nothing - hotel was exactly what he hoped for.
Very well trained staff. Helpful with directions and advice. Let us check in early. Breakfast good. Very clean
Location a little obscure.
the staff very friendly and excellent attention. Clean and very good located. Very close to the shops
The kettle didn´t worked, kind of dark rooms.
It's a nice small hotel on the First floor of a building. Polite staff, quiet room (not all rooms are quiet, depending on the location of each one, e.g. those becide the ice machine on the corridor experience internal noise), clean room with tea and coffee, adequate breakfast. Good location in the Centre, very near a Metro station. Also, very near the train station. I would visit again if I could choose the same room.
Very poor wifi signal, even at the reception. At one time I tried to check my airplane ticket it was impossible to do so since there were, according to the receptionist, 73 connections on a single line. They should fix it because its a very popular complaint for this hotel. Also, if you plan to spend a lot of time in the room it might seem a little small.
Just Excellent. Friendly staff and helpful , 24hours just their for you. Best location for all sites. Very clean and comfortable rooms.
WiFi to much slow.
The staff are very helpful ,the room 70 was quiet situatied on the end of the hall. Good location
It's difficult in Rome to find value for money but this hotel is a great find, very clean, stayed in 2 different rooms on 2 different dates - both looked recently refurbished. Staff make this hotel, everyone was extremely friendly & helpful!
The location is easy to walk to the train station and the main street. Rome is not big and its most sights are very close to its main street or in walking distance. I would recommend to take a look of the hotels on the west side of the river as that area looks very clean and nice.
WIFI connection was very poor. It was much better to use 3G. Some staff don't seem nice or helpful. The hotel is sharing the building so there isn't a lobby.
Nice welcome from front desk on arrival.
Would have liked the concierge to have known about the shuttle bus times leaving from Termini Train station to airport.
This hotel is in a lovely quiet street in a great location in Roma. Very handy to the main train station and walkable to all the main attractions, if you don't mind a walk. Very close to the subway. The room was small but had everything you need including a kettle and tea and coffee making. Free wifi. Very clean and comfortable. Restaurant close by recommended by hotel is VERY good and reasonable prices. Very quaint. Lovely breakfast.
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Italia, nice staff with great smiles all the time. location is very good, 10 mins by walking from Termini. Breakfast is quite good. Highly recommended.
