Pillows were a little hard for our taste. Struggling to find any other negative points.
Very convenient location. Pleasant rooms spotlessly clean, well equipped with kettle, mini-fridge and hairdryer. Staff all courteous and helpful. Proximity of rooms to breakfast room and reception. Good range of choice for a continental breakfast.

Stayed during the Easter weekend paying more than 130 Euros per night, which was too much. In comparison the room was small for 2 persons and the bathroom was tiny.
Location, breakfast, attitude of the staff.

The WiFi was a bit slow, but not really a problem since we spent most of our time enjoying the city, NOT sitting in our room, surfing the net.
Clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, free breakfast every morning, convenient location. What more can you ask for at such a reasonable price?

The staff was very friendly and helpful The hotel was very central, near to Termini, we could walk to Piazza Navona, spanish steps, Colisseum,etc.. Near to Campo Fiori we took the bus 64 to via Nazional near to the hostel for 1,50 eur. Clean and friendly hotel. Very good breakfast.

The nearby restaurants weren't amazing. I would suggest going closer to the Collesium. It is a pleasent walk.
Great location. Near the Republic metro station, a 15 minute walk to the Collesium or to the Trevi Fountain or the Pantheon.

Well, Hotel Italia (2 stars) is far better than the others (2 stars and some with lousy services) which I have stayed around in Europe. I had a 4-nights stay here. Everything was perfect for me as I spent most time outdoor enjoying Rome. The location is very close to the Termini bus stop from the Fiumicino airport... approx. 10min walk and less confusing if one walk from Via Nazionale. However, it was a bit confusing as no sign on the door (of multiple doors) to enter to get to the first floor. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly by the front desk manager. He was very cheerful and gave me a brief introduction of the major sight-seeings in Rome on the map (very good and precise map, I didn't get lost at all). From the hotel, took me 15 min walk to Colosseum and Capitolini museum, 20 min walk to Piazza Navona, 30 min walk to Castel Sant'Angelo and 40 min walk to Vatican St Peter Square. It was very pleasant walk as one get to see more by walking in Rome. 10 min walk to metro Repubblica and just two stations away to Spanish Steps and one station away to Trevi Fountain. So, the hotel location is superb!!! The room (no. 34) is small but ideal for solo traveller who need a place to sleep. The room was kept clean everyday. The WiFi was very good and fast. Multiple channels TV (including BBC news) are available as I enjoy watching news in the evening to relax. There was a small kettle for making tea... (even some 3-stars hotel don't provide such utility). I agreed that the shower room was small but the water-pressure was good and no problem getting warm shower. The water drainage was also efficient as I have experienced some hotel with water-flood after shower. The breakfast was simple and good (no complain about the foods). All the staff members were cheerful and helpful and that make your day a good start and feel home. Perhaps the only drawback for noise-sensitive sleeper was the poor sound insulation from the corridor and shower from the next door...

There was only one downside was the slow wi fi but didn't bother us really as we were there on vacation not for business
The location was brilliant really central, short walk from Termini station and not more than 20 or so minute walk to most of the major sites. We stayed in the building opposite the hotel which had recently been decorated, really clean very comfortable. Staff were great, friendly and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend

Paying 9€ to book a taxi. The Owner was nowhere near as pleasant as his staff. The hotel is a good walk from most major historical sites.
Abdul the Manager is the most friendly and lovely man you could ever hope to meet when travelling. The staff were excellent and the rooms were really clean.

Clean hotel Friendly staff Great location
February 24, 2015
Room was quite small, and the shower was tiny, however, the ceiling was quite high in the room, which prevented it from appearing claustrophobic.
Simple, clean, small hotel. We stayed in the annex opposite the hotel. It was clean, well tended and in a relatively safe area. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to Forum and Trevi Fountain, so good location. Staff were friendly, breakfast was good and the free wifi was great to have.
February 24, 2015
there was a gentleman behind the desk that wasn't very approachable. I think we must have caught him at a stressful time and I don't think he handled it very well, instead of him taking the 10 seconds to help us, the next customer helped instead..
good location room was clean and comfortable nicely decorated small room but they have set the room up well so didn't feel cramped at allm would stay there again
