The view from the hotel was magnificent, the room was clean and functional, breakfast was pleasant and the staff were helpful and friendly. Some staff speak English. The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the old part of the town and taking trips on the lake.

The square beside the hotel can be noisy at times and take care not to bang your head on the bedhead.

Well placed Hotel directly opposite the Ferry Terminal to the Lake Maggiore islands. Room had great views overlooking the Lake. Staff were helpful and breakfast was delicious and designed to appeal to wide range of tastes

The location was perfect, across the street the ferry terminal, right on the beautiful Stresa, the room was very large, very clean, and the large double bed was superb, the sheets were brilliant white and crisp, just fantastic. The view from our room was amazing. The staff was very nice. The breakfast buffet was superb.

Good value for the money. Breakfast was good. Room clean and adequate.

In the hotel there are only Italian TV channels

The warm, natural welcome of the staff. The location could not be better - directly opposite the taxi and larger boat departure station and a car park, the tourist office and almost next door to a travel agent. The town centre (with its Friday market) and large selection of restaurant are 5 minutes on foot from the hotel.

Centrally located for both ferry and shops. Good selection of restaurants less than 2 minutes walk from hotel. Extremely helpful staff family based and fully conversant with all local interests. Good view of lake and mountains from forward facing balconies.

Some noise from the road although double glassed windows resolved. Room air conditioned in summer.

We enjoyed our short stay at this hotel, it was convenient to everything, clean, friendly and affordable. The management was kind enough to keep our luggage overnight while we spent the night at one of the islands. Very convenient to the ferry, right across the street.

Fantastic corner room on 2nd floor with 4 (yes 4!) balconies - 2 overlooking the lake and 2 overlooking part of the lake and small piazza next door. On Sat. & Sun. the cafe in the piazza provided entertainment ( 2 excellent guitarists). Although the hotel was opposite the ferry terminal (great for trips on the lake) and on the main road noise level did not disturb us. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious.

Very special but hospitable and client friendly reception. Sufficient breakfast. Excellent location near the lake and all the cosy streets with good trattoria's of Stresa. Safe and dry place for our bikes.

From the very first contact, the impression was one of complete dedication to our needs. This is a family-owned hotel very conveniently situated right opposite the ferry terminal to the town of Stresaon the side of the beautiful Lake Maggiore. Outside the terminal across the street from the hotel is a car park from where a fun tourist road train takes you on a tour of the beautiful little town as far out as Carciano, a separate suburb which is home to the yacht basin and the cable car that takes you from the ferry terminal right up to the top of the mountain at Matterone with its magnificent views. A second similar little train takes a different route through the streets to the extensive parks with beautiful and exotic flora and a large selection of birds and animals from around the globe. From the ferry terminal you can take the boat to the three beautiful borer mean islands and all the towns around the lake, even into Switzerland. Conobio, Verbano and Pallazza were our favourites. Even more beautiful, if that is possible was Lake Orta and it's island of San Guilio with the thriving Benedictine Nunnery and the fantastic little church full of ancient frescos and medieval graffiti. A tour leaves from the hotel on a Thursday. All of these things are right on the doorstep of the hotel, ideal if you are less mobile than you were

Obviously, there are things that compare differently in different hotels but there is nothing for which we can use your term "didn't like".

Very central to shops restaurants and lakeside where the ferries leave from .

wifi is not free and it is expensive - nonsense in the 21st century nearby locations are noisy on the weekend

All was perfect....

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in early June. It is in a lovely town, with an ideal location on the foreshore near the major ferry terminal. It was probably the cleanest hotel we stayed at in three and a half weeks. Our room overlooked the lake and despite being on the side of the night entertainment next door the weather kept the singer at bay. Breakfast was good with a variety of choices.The proprietors were friendly and helpful, their assistance with booking the airport bus and advice on local activities was much appreciated, with the proviso that patience and a thorough explanation can smooth relations with travellers who are not familiar with the local procedures.A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Wonderfully placed right on the lake and opposite the ferry port for trips to any of the islands. Rooms are basic but very spacious. Staff were very polite and very helpful.

The location was perfect, 2 minutes walk from the ferry terminal, right on the lakeside, around the corner from the beautiful town of Stresa, the room was basic, but very clean, and the large double bed was superb, the sheets were brilliant white and crisp -fantastic. The staff , although some only having basic English, were very helpful, especially in booking my reservation for the bus return to the airport.

Clean, comfortable and affordable, I would go back and have no hesitation to recommend it.

Room 40 is perhaps the best in the hotel. There is a magnificent view of the lake and across to the Swiss mountains from the room. It is very convenient to the shops, restaurants and ferry services.

The breakfast needs more variety- change of fruit and a facilty to heat croissants and bread/toast.

Great location to the ferry in Stresa, right across the street. In the town center, so you could walk to restaurants and stores. Airport transportation to Malpensa was right next door.

Room was to warm. Noisy when recycling pins were emptied. Could hear the person in room near us cough and talk on the phone.
