Attentive Staff High quality finish and attention to detail Contemporary interior At €450 for a double room which had a courtyard view that made the room very dark, I think there is probably better value to be had in Florence.

hotel staff very attentive and always anticipating needs, location, landmark building supremely updated classic rooms lay out without proper window and only exposed to inside courtyard. Size of the rooms intensifies the claustrophoby feeling.

An elegantly and luxuriously appointed oasis in the hustle and bustle of tourists in the heart of Florence. The staff treated you like visiting royalty . The bounteous breakfast delivered to our bedroom was beyond belief.

After at 60 mile hiking trip through the Tuscan countryside, J.K. Place was a welcoming sight. I have traveled to Europe many times and have never been welcomed so warmly as I was at J.K. Place. Not only did they prepare a nice lunch for me while I waited for my room (free of charge), they provided a room for my husband and I that was second to none. They thought of everything! The staff was very helpful and accommodating with regards to all our needs. The breakfast was fantastic! I would recommend this hotel to anyone:)

J.K. Place is a beautifully designed boutique hotel that makes you feel as if you're staying at your wealthy friends townhouse. The staff were also very helpful and the outdoor couches in front of the hotel were perfect for an afternoon glass of wine and people watching. The rooms ran on the small side although beautifully decorated. We had to upgrade our room when we saw the original room that we were supposed to be staying in.

Excellent amenities. Very stylish. Had a two floor unit. Excellent. Staff was very good except regarding the tour guides and the total cost involved - see note below. Be careful booking private tour guides with this hotel. We were told the cost of our two tours were e 240 and e 160 on back to back days. There was no mention that these high fees didn't include the cost of the two museums (e 40 each day or e 80 total). The hotel hit us up with these charges at time of check out and we needed 'cash' for these charges. Very sneaky tactic on their part. Excellent tour guide who spoke very good English. However the 'back-end' charge situation tainted this experience. Check you bill carefully too. They charged us for one night of parking and we had no vehicle in Florence. Also, the waiter at our first day's lunch said there was no charge - it was complimentary. Upon check-out they tried to charge us for the drinks at that first lunch. We paid e 500 per night. We expected a little more upfront disclosure from this level of a hotel.

Its convenience to the main train terminal (smn) was great: 10 minute, easy walk. The staff was spectacularly helpful and accommodating. The morning breakfast was as complete as almost anyone would want and it was served by very helpful wait staff. The roof top patio was a delightful view of the neighborhood rooftops, peaceful and quiet (though it is a smoking area). Sure, the hotel may seem expensive but it is a full return value for your dollars. I'd stay there again (and will). It is also convenient to just about anything you want to see in Florence. And there were several laundromats in the immediate vicinity, in case that is one of those things you'd rather do yourself. I can truly say that there was nothing I didn't like. My room, for one person, was small; however, I did get a peek into a room in which a couple stayed. For me, the single room worked well; however, for two people it might be worth exploring a larger sized room. Though I had a double bed (two people can easily sleep), it would be advisable to think about what you need for space. As for me, again, just perfect all around......

Beautiful hotel and extremely nice staff. Excellent location! We stayed for two nights, and we had to change room. If we had a last minute booking it would have been OK, but we booked this hotel way back. They offered us a bottle of wine for the inconvenience, but all we wanted was having the same room two nights in a row to avoid having to pack and unpack over again. Found long dark hair in the first room, not exactly appealing.

A luxurious townhouse hotel. Very good service by keen staff. Excellent location for centre. Chi chi terrace bar out front. Adjacent streets lead to main sights and are lined with beautiful shops. Bedroom beautifully furbished with luxury fittings and very comfortable bed. Bathrooms ditto. Very elegant and comfortable ambience throughout. Staff give high level concierge service as required. Many lovely restos eg. homely trattoria nearby. Of course David awaits you in the Accademia!! Buon viaggio!
