NH Excelsior  

We tried to use the restaurant for two times, and they tald us that was already closed. Note that one day was 9:30PM and other 8:55PM The responsible for the restaurant was very rude both times.He did not at least wake-up from the chair to talk to us!! I speake very good italian and he was surprised when I told him that I will report the "treatment" to booking. Very, very, bad service

Only location

Staff - during check in did not pay any attention. And did not explain properly where to park the car. At breakfast before 10 am there was any single clean table and almost no food. Staff simply was ignoring our requests. During night somebody started to cut grass at the stadium in from of windows at around 5 am. Then started to play churches sounds. Was terrible night.

Nh was near the central bus station and soccor field. I was within 15- min. Walk of every important venue or resturant in Siena. My room had a great view of major towers in Siena, including the Duomo. Nh was quiet, clean, adequately staffed. A great breakfast was served that helped me get through the day. The room was clean and odor-free.

Stayed at Siena and Pisa. Pisa met all our expectations. Close to station, well appointed and very clean. We had a problem with excessive noise from the adjoining room. This was dealt with by the staff at the second attempt. Siena also met our needs but the weather was cold for this time of year and we were told at reception that the heating does'nt come on until November. I would have expected that the heating would have been determined by temperature not the date. At Pisa they have heating. Same hotel chain different policy?

Efficient, courteous staff

The staff was horrible. We will never stay there again.

The room and the location were very good.

The hotel staff with the exception of one young lady were quite unhelpful and unwelcoming.

Location was great, room was quiet, modern with all the facilities we needed. Bathroom very well serviced daily with big soft towels and the usual NH toiletries including toothbrush and razor. Breakfast could be busy but well stocked and replenished. Lovely selection of fresh fruit every day- peaches, plums, kiwi, pears etc Overall this was a great value stay. Added bonus was our room overlooked the town football pitch and Siena were playing and we had the fun of watching the match from our balcony!

Easy to reach, choise of free or on payment pkng few hundreds meters away, staff professional. Breakfast not excellent but more than enough. Position strategic to visit the town. It is the best for a quick stay, long wk end or similar. We travelled in 5, 3 children and small bed in one of the 2 rooms was free of charge. Very satisfied.

Breakfasts were wonderful , Superb location right next to the bus / coach station, clean .

Receptionist is obviously in the wrong job , either that or he thinks he is a Parisian, needs to lighten up and I mean loads.
