The service in the reception is okay, but not overwhelming personal...some of the staff seemed very reserved, but if you insist for their help, they loosen up a bit and are nice to help you. It's one of those receptions where all the females seems secondary...if there's a man in the reception and you're paying the bill, he's taking over, and makes the female receptionists look like silly unresponsible kids, which always seems very odd to me. The rooms had a slightly hidden smell of cigarette smoke, even though it was a non smoking room.
The rooms were quite small...almost Japanese style space...but it was okay anyway. The view was nice. Would had been great with a short welcome when we checked in to the hotel...just a brief one about the breakfast, few things on the map about where to go and the hotel facilities.
NB! The wifi sucks!! As soon as you log on, from the little note, as you have to ask for in the reception, you should be able to surf for 12-24 hrs...I was logged off after 45 minutes each time, so had to keep on asking for a new code.
-Great breakfast. Good and big variation of fresh juice, cakes, yoghurt with cereals, fruits and extra few things that upgraded the stadard buffet to something more special.
-Perfect location if you arrive by bus from Firenze. The bus stops right across the street, which is really handy when you arrive with a lot of luggage.
-Nice and clean + very nice and friendly cleaning staff.
-Bathroom nice and spacious with a welcoming bathtub for the rainy days, as we had. :) Only missing part was the lack of a bathrobe and slippers. It would had upgraded the hotel for sure. The style and the standard of the hotel was good enough to offer this. Maybe next time?!
