It's location and aspect. Helpful desk staff in terms of orientation around Palermo. Swimming pool, when open. On two occassions, during a six day stay, access to hotel areas and services were restricted due to outside functions being held. The pool open and closed times seems to be a little sporadic and don't seem to make much sense. Closing the pool in the hottest part of the day seems illogical. |

Convenience of being near the train station The brochure in the room said you could get an early breakfast from 5am, which is what we needed as we were going for an early train. When we asked at reception were we go, they said no early breakfast, it started at 7am only. So we left without breakfast having paid for a B&B. |

Brakfast and bathroom., easy access to city center. All palermo is very dirty so don't expect a pleasent walk towards down town. I know that the NH is a good quality hotel but this one in particular was in restauration and every thing is old from the Jolly hotel. The moust negative thing is the carpet very old and durty, but the room is ok bathroom is all in marbol and works ok, nesides that it's a good place , it has pool and breakfast is perfect, nice croissant's. |

fairly close to downtown. nothing else in particular, overall a rather disappointing experience. no air-condition in the room when we entered (29 degrees!) and waited over half an hour to get it fixed. room in poor condition and not very clean. sheets with holes in it. noise from the man at work (they are restructuring the hotel, but they did not close). Also spinning lesson very noisy in the afternoon. definitively not a 4 stars hotel like it claims to be. |

Set in a nicer part of the city away from the huslte & noise of the centre, the Hotel offered a bit more room and was relatively easy to find as a first timer entering the city by car. The bedroom was smallish but perfectly adequate for our 4 night stay.Pool was a real bonus for a quick dip. Breakfast buffet was excellent in range of choice and quality. Car Parking arrangements were a tad shoddy. There is a closed off parking area which attracts a daily charge but plenty of 'free' parking around the Hotel. The Car Park attendant wanted me to pay him to 'keep an eye' on my hire car in the free area Hm! |

The proximity of the hotel to the port, as well as the location of the hotel being just across the road from parkland and a bayside aspect that had wonderful views of the nearby mountains and the sea. The hotels pool was also a considerable plus, given the time of year that we visited, the pool was a welcome relief from the heat. Unfortunately its location in regards to the centre of the city. Being on the outskirts of Palermo meant that you had a reasonable walk to get to attractions of the city. As we were happy to walk, it was not a huge consideration for us, but other visitors may find this a limiting factor. In relation to the swimming pool, the only concern was the fact that the pool was all the one depth. It does not have a shallow or deep end. This made it more challenging for younger children as the depth was greater than they could manage. Small issue overall. |

When we first arrived very early the hotel staff found a room for us to check in to early. Although we booked a double through this website (and I had the confirm to show this) the hotel insisted the website told them we had booked twins and gave us to single beds. The worst thing was that the hotel swimming pool was supposed to be open until 7pm each night, but on both the Friday and Sat they closed it early for private functions. Additionally the pool was closed each day from 1pm-3pm, so you really didnt get much time at the pool. |

The staff, esp. Gaspare..is very helpful. Have stayed here several times since 2003. Excellent food esp. fine breakfast. Great food at dinner also. We were three generations traveling together and they met all our needs..from the six year old to the grandparents. The Mediterranean Sea is across the street. Spectacular location. Very nice pool on hotel grounds. No longer a Jolly..no shuttle to the center of the city. That shuttle was a real plus for tourists. Perhaps it will resume service in the future.. Hotel is renovating and going upscale. It will be beautiful when they are finished. |

I liked leaving it. We paid up front so we were given a standard room... A very very low standard room. Myself and my pregnant wife had to walk about 100+ meters to the very last room with 3 single beds dispite booking a double room. The room was like a set from the TV show Dallas. Bright Orange sheets, chipwood furniture, bedside controls that looked like they came out of a ship on Star Trek. |

The pool area was nice and the breakfast buffet was good. Parking outside was very convenient. The hotel staff was not very friendly and helpful. The superior room were very worned down with stained carpets and there was water leaking in. The bed and sheets were clean but ofw low quality. |

The location was good. The lobby, dinning, and pool area were very adequate. The hotel in general with the exception of the lobby and dinning area were very rundown. The carptes in hallway and room old and dirty. The drawers in the bedroom closet (4 tiny ones) were broken. The hair dryer in the bathroom was one of the old moels. I was surprised since I have stayed at others NH hotels and I have been very satisfied. |

Staff was very nice and helpful. Food was good room was clean and made up promptly. Shortage of available parking for guests during functions which were daily was irritating. Also because of functions at the hotel patio area was unavailable much of the time for guests which was bad because the patio area is one of the draws for guests. |
