We liked the location and interior of lobby.

We had a very bad experience. We booked a triple room with a sea view. We arrived at 3am with a child of 8 years, tired from the trip and just needed to rest. We were greeted by a very small room with no double bed and sofa -chair, which extends. In it there wasn't bedding and when we stretch it, we realized that the structure is more like a field bed for camping than a bed to sleep on. It squeaks, twists and it certainly can not sleep on. We asked them to give us the room that we booked (triple room) but there was very rude receptionist who said they had no other rooms and that no one before us did not complain about sofa, and at the end we finished at 3:30 am on the streets of Genoa with a child of 8 years and no booking. We dont recommend this hotel! Streets in Genova in 3am looks very very bad, so the best thing happened that night was Grand Hotel Savoia. Our child was happy to sleep finally in great place with friendly staff.

We arrived at 8pm and the room was not ready. Poor breakfast

The location at the harbor is superb but the hotel is hard to get to from the autostrada. A lot of doubling back. The facilities are great and the breakfast was the best we had in Italy.

The hotel's ambiance and location...looking out at the harbor from most parts of the hotel made it worthwhile. The breakfast was healthy and superb!

Lovely staff. Nice big bed that was not two put together. Balcony and view. Lovely breakfast and a happy smiling lady made our delicious cappaccino.

The balcony could have been cleaner and it would be nice if there was a small table and chairs already on it.

Location of the hotel and view of marina is excellent.

The view from the balcony on the yacht, the mountains and the horizon, breakfast on the terrace surrounded by the sea, furniture made of marble etc. Everything is good. It is simply the most convenient hotel in Genoa in every sense. Real 4*!

Location is great, waterfront district convenient to old quarter of the city.

Nescafe. Oh my gosh, its awful. Why can't a 4 star hotel give their guests real coffee for breakfast?

I liked many things: location, value for money, the decor, breakfast, etc.

Did not like: the lack of service, service in the evening (there is no possibility to order tea, dinner in the room after 22.00)

The garage is a joke. They cram two three spots into a suitable space for 2 spaces. It is extremely hard to park or turn around. If you trust others, be careful. Outside, scam artists block your entrance and bother every car. Its a joke as well.

The lady on reception in the evening was exceptionally polite, charming and efficient. The room was spacious and well equipped as was the bathroom. The breakfast was abundant with an excellent choice.

The wardrobe in the room was difficult to access. The toilet brush was attached to the wall between the bidet and the WC so one could not sit down easily. There was a perfect space instead in the corner next to the WC .... a detail which shows the architect was probably a man. The room was a little chilly and the temperature control was not immediately apparent. The lady restaurant manager was charming and efficient but the man who supposed to be clearing the tables was surly (didn't reply to my good morning or acknowledge my presence) and didn't watch to clear the table after I had finished - I had to put my plate on the buffet. The capuccino was not good (too much foam when I had specifically asked for it without) but the manager cheerfully and quickly replaced it with excellent and hot caffe latte. The musak in the lobby area was ghastly - thank goodness it wasn't in the restaurant.

Can't fault this hotel. Our room and breakfast were excellent. The view from our balcony was brilliant, million dollar boats rocked gently on their moorings.

Proximity to the Passenger terminal and Genoa city generally. A good hotel with good facilities.

No real complaints - it was an efficient and well-run hotel and the amenities were good.

Excellent central position with a very charming situation beside the water front.Very friendly staff and helpful.Easy access to the town, transport and to the highways.Very highly recommendable.

The usual problem that Italy seems to have in general, extremely expensive parking. However the facility was there which is aplus.

Design and Location

My companion booked a Superioir room. She rightly wanted more space. We were allocated a small room with a balcony. On entering the room I immediately called reception to say that I was disappointed with the size of the room. On your website you state: "Die ansprechend gestalteten, etwa 20 m² großen Standard Zimmer sind mit einem Doppelbett oder 2 Einzelbetten ausgestattet. Alle Zimmer verfügen über einen Balkon mit Meerblick, einen großen Schreibtisch, Internet, Fernseher, Minibar und Telefon." I was trying to say to them that I had expected the follwing: [Source: your website - Superior Zimmer] "Diese eleganten und komfortablen Zimmer sind zwischen 24 m² und 27 m² groß. Zwar verfügen nicht alle Zimmer über einen Balkon, doch bieten sie eine schöne Aussicht. Die Zimmer sind mit einem großen Schreibtisch, einem Sessel, wlan, Klimaanlage, Minibar, Safe, Kaffee- /Teezubereitungsmöglichkeiten, Hosenbügler und Fernseher ausgestattet." I was assured by the receptionist that I had booked, not for the size of the room, but the 2 instant coffee ration, 2 free 25dl water bottles (all per day, allocated by daily room service), bath slippers and a bathrobe. I assured her that I had expected a Superior room, and not fluffy extras that wern't in the website marketing pitch. She assured me again that I did not pay for space, but the 'extras'. Your website quoted here directly contradicts those assurances. I was unable to bring myself to argue with her. At this moment I don't know whether my companion paid the Standard or Superioir price for our stay at the nh Marina. Either way, I find it ignorant of the receptionist to fail to provide a satisfactory explanation. I shall not return to your hotel and take a dim view of Genovesian Hospitatliy aka. Treating their guests so cynically and dishonestly.

Right on the harbour. Walking distance to the old town, sites, and attractions. Breakfast was very good. Some staff struggled with English, but that is everywhere in Italy. Wifi free in room.
