Closeness to port. Able to see hotel from ferry as it is high up overlooking the sea. Dinner was an all you can eat buffet for 25€ including glass of wine and we were offered more by the waiter.
Hotel a bit faded but ok.
Very nice location, overlooking the harbour, and close (5min walking) to the city center. Good breakfast. Room-safe large enough for laptop. Free Wifi a bit slow but reliable.
Asked for a "quiet room", and was given the noisest room of them all (backside of the hotel, directly next to the ventilator exhaust. Luckily, the thing was switched off at night, between 23:00 to about 05:30). Rather small room, and no space to get rid of the extra pillows. Bed kind of a "bunk bed", with walls and the closet on three sides.
Big bathroom. Nice view from the window. Friendly staff!
the best breakfast I ever had
Not so warm rooms
Location suited us, close to our friends, trains etc. Rooms comfortable and breakfast and dining room excellent. Staff friendly I would recommend this hotel.
Sunday night , no evening meal but staff most helpful , even offered to order pizza delivery . Very comfortable large bed . Breakfast was great , anything you could want and more .
This was my second visit this year and the standard was even better. Best nights sleep I have had in a long time. Very comfrtable beds and a great bath! The location is perfect for ease of getting to and from the port for the ferry to Greece. Safe parking But most of all the excellent breafast can not be beaten, The staff were very polite and Gennaro on reception made us feel very welcome.
View at commercial port, city and sea. Excelent breakfast compared to other hotels.
So friendly so efficient so helpful The staff are excellent and the location perfect No hesitation to stay again A real treat so nowhere else comes close
Location is good, within 750m from city centre, restaurant/bar area. Good breakfast with a wide selection.
Rooms are a bit tired & bathroom needs updating
Warm welcome, modern facilities, lift, parking on site, good breakfast, lollies at reception, location. . . easy walking to old town and views up to the cathedral.
Very poor signage. Coming from Ferrara we ended up in the tangle of one way streets and heavy peak hour traffic of modern Ancona, lost in the labyrinth for more than an hour. . . forget the Minator legend, we had no string, no street signs and no SatNav. . . .not a very pleasant experience. We only found the hotel by sheer accident as we were finally leaving the city after escaping its clutches. The hotel overlooks the busy port and is on a cul-de-sac above the main road. A big sign as you enter the road by the waterfront and again at the roundabout would certainly be advantageous and appreciated.
Staff helpful and very friendly pointing out local places to eat Great location for ferry port Breakfast excellent choice
Nothing all good
After already staying a few times in this hotel we are still very satisfied. Also a nice breakfest is offered. No problem at all with the dog, who can run in the private garden of the hotel near the parking place.
Lovely comfortable room with great view. Nice common lounge area with bar. Dinner available, smorgasbord, but I would only recommend if you really can't be bothered going into town. They seem to cater for solo business men. Helpful staff.
Only 1 chair to admire the view. However the hotel stag brought a second on request. Wi fi only accessible in the room if you stand at the door. Accessible in common areas.
Location (and view), breakfast, staff;
My GPS did not find this address; had to ask several pedestrians how to get to hotel.
I didn't hear any complains, so in over all is good.
The room was clean and comfortable and had great views of the port. Also, there was safe parking which was a concern for my soft top car.
Shame I could not stay longer
Staff is very nice and helpful. Very good breakfast.
ok for one night - breakfast was Ok
I booked this hotel as it was (on the map) not far from the ferry terminal and we were only staying a night . However it was a awkward walk uphill and over a main road so taxied. Location bit out on a limb. Bathroom tired and needed a really good clean - bleach perhaps!!?
Location Look of hotel
Everything was very nice, very helpful staff
Carrying 3 suitcases up a lot of steps then pulling them up the hill to get to the hotel
Balcony, View, room size, breakfast
Up a hill, long walk from train station, long walk to ferry port
It's a seasoned hotel NH acquired and it would need a good renovation. room was fine but not that great. quite close to old city center and easy to reach by car, even if close to the harbor.
Booking.com reservation was on (-1) floor (balcony opening to ground garden with a scene of small garden and surrounding wall. Deepest room cheapest one.
