Idea Hotel Cagliari Santa Maria  

The hotel was run down, there was no wifi, it was out of the way and not close to any shopping or restaurants, the restaurant at the hotel did not have 1/2 of the fresh fish and seafood that was on the menu and only 2 empolyees spoke english, so it was extremely difficult to get anything and/or change anything! When we tallied up the cost of our dinner for 4 people (they made us charge it to our room and would not allow us to pay when we were there), and when we checked out the cost was way higher! We were late for our flight and could not afford to argue the point then. This was very disappointing for us! Based on our experience at this hotel, I would not book at any of the other Idea Hotel locations.

The unfriendly staff, poor breakfast, poor cleanliness, extremely small bedroom for 3, prices that are too high for the quality.

Location of the hotel is great. It is not far from the city center and the Cagliari airport. The staff was very pleasant.

Good price/value ratio

Low price. Good access roads for those who want to get to downtown or for those who want to leave Caliari and go anywhere on the island. Good breakfast

This hotel is only option for those who rent cars. Ugly surroundings and has no options for dinner, but by car you can arrive in five minutes at the center of Cagliari. The bedroom floor is carpeted. The only employees who speak English are those of the reception.

The hotel staff unfortunately doesn't speak English. Despite that the staff is very kind and helpful. An excellent self service breakfast! The towels were changed every day.

A hotel with very good price/quality ratio. Good location on the way from the airport to the city. Very good and helpful staff. Great breakfasts (buffet). Close to the supermarkets. A shuttle bus to beaches (but we did not use it)

I told that air condition was leaking, but nobody do anything with this.

It was very confordable, clean, cheap. Maybe a little bit far from city center, but you can use public bus (No 8) and also bus stop is very close.

I think the wall of rooms are thin. You can hear others who stay in other rooms.

One thing alone: the breakfast!

I am very afraid Maria from Rhodos,that my comments (Michael from Rodos) will not in the same wavelength to yours! First of all, the manager we met we reached late at the hotel was rude and capricious. When asked why our friendly couple took a room in the second and we take in the fifth, he replied that unfortunately the hotel is full! When the morning we went down for breakfast we saw at least 10 couples to arrive with suitcases at the hotel ...We overlooked this and went to the rooms. 1. The tv did not play 2. the phone was not working and 3. there was nowhere alleged ironing! When ι mentioned all that, he told me that because it is too late to repair, we will see in the morning. So I told him that I understand the late time and that instead T.v could give me codes for internet (which by the way its use should be free) replenishing the void.His response was: why? Then disappeared from my face any of kindness and responded to austere style: what you mean why? Then realized that I'm not kidding, and asked another employee to check the T.V.. Hopeless trouble because as I said was broken. Only then, very rudely gave me the codes ... The morning he asked us to change room and as we moved we noticed that the next door room evacuated! The room of our friends suddenly started to throws water from the Air Condition and evacuated this also ..Eventually the phone and the iron never repaired ....Ah! Beacause I dont want you to think that I am one of those weird persons to write comments for fun, for the end I must mention that my wife is pregnant in the 5th month and still have a good time in Sardinia!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was delicious. And the manager was the best!!!
