The hotel was the perfect spot to get away from the city and relax and enjoy the gorgeous view of the seacoast. I cannot think of anything I did not like. |

The helpfulness of the staff, the facilities, the excellent breakfast (albeit at additional cost - that was a minus) and above all the magnificent location, allowing private swimming in the sea. The policy of not including breakfast in the room rate. It was, however, well worth the €10 supplement. |

Really nice and bright bedrooms, really holidayish. Beautiful swimming pool surrounded by flowers and palmtrees. Staff was also really nice and helpful (we were able to check in early with no problem at all) Possibility to rent bikes at the hotel was really handy. We stayed in mid september and it was really quiet and relaxing The location was also perfect, really close of the village small center and the little supermarket. |

The hotel has a spectacular view and a private beach with rock outcrop that provide an excellent area for snorkeling. We particularly enjoyed our dinner in the terrace with piano entertainment. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary and I can't think of a better setting than the Hotel Kalura it was a memorable evening and I would not hesitate to recommend this property to my friends and colleagues. I will certainly make it one of my favourite hotel stops in Italy. |

The view from the room. It seems a little run down. Too much money for what it was. |

Friendly personnel and nice rooms. Dinner at the hotel is also good value for the money. For rooms reserved on booking obtaining a sea view is mission impossible. Also you need a car, it`s not walking distance from Cefalu. |

Hotel Kalura was relaxing and only a 25minute walk into the main town. The views overlooking the sea and mountains were beautiful and the restaurant was in a very good position overlooking the sicilian landscape. We enjoyed the trip to Mount Etna and Taormina, the tour guide was very informative and pointed out places and items of interest, this can be booked from the hotel. The service in the restaurant was not good, on the two occasions we ate there we had a long wait for the food to arrive, around 50minutes each time. On one of the occasions I asked for a chilli to be added to the pasta I had ordered, this arrived in its natural form at the end of the meal. We tried to explain to the head waiter who was apologetic but I think misunderstood our grievances. The bus service was 'hit and miss' and not to be relied on. One of the pillows in our room had a blood stain which was noticeable under the pillow case. |

The private beach is the biggest plus by a long way; excellent just to sunbathe and snorkel from with great views from the hotel terrace where you can sit and eat breakfast. Food wasnt fantastic but it is a great location. The room was small witha beam that i knocked my head on a few times that you hasd to duck under to get to the shower/toilet room. I had one meal at the restaurant which was just ok. Big plus if you had a car to get to town as it is a bit secluded about a mile along the coast, |

The staff were quite friendly, espec the waiters on the terrace. The special meal on Sat 17th was wonderful with a special ambience. The terrace is just stunning and a wonderful place to sit, sip wine and enjoy the views. Nice pool at the back when the sun went down on the beach. |

Our room at Hotel Kalura was average. What made this hotel great was the rocky beach - with free beds and umbrellas. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were excellent - the viewfrom the terrace is spectacular! |

The room we had was quite large with a big balcony. There is a lovely terrace at sea side with in the evening fire and mucic; very romantic! The breakfast was not included, the buffet is relatively expensive for what it is, and having to use a tray does not add to a nice atmosphere of a hotel, rather more like a canteen. |

the proximity of A19!, the out of town situation of the hotel, the proximity of bicycle rental this was the only hotel that we stayed that did not have breakfast included in the overall price, at 20Euro for the two of us this added to the overall cost of the room |

the hotel was in a spectacular location, great facilities & incredibly friendly staff. fantastic views of the surrounding area, relaxing pool & great private beach. the food was beautiful one small issue is that when we checked in, we were checked into a uncleaned room, which was reticified later. apart from this a great place to stay |

Just the convenience of parkng and the pool. The price for a single small room was too expensive. The pool was not clean. Check-in was too late. Some of the reception staf did not know anything about the events posted on the hotel that I was interested in. |

One of the best hotels ever. The location is fantastic and the views are stunning.Private beach is small and not sandy, but actually very good, with good free facilities, clean water, beautiful landscape, showers, intimacy and all that goes with it. Swimming pool is amazing. There is also a gym, sport facilities for tennis, basketball and alike... Hotel terrace is amazing. Staff is totally relaxed and friendly. Bus for the city center stops literary at the hotel door. Walking is also possible, it is not far. Rooms are big and clean and mostly have nice balconies. Simply - great! It seems restaurant prices are slightly expensive and breakfast may not be the best, but we have not used those a lot, so did not really suffer from that. And indeed, bus for the city goes rarely, but thats not so much of a disadvantage, comparing all of the advantages. |

The staff were extremely friendly. It is a perfect hotel for families. And the restaurant overlooking the sea is so perfect with excellent food, great pasta dishes in particular, good service, and at reasonable prices. The ability to put things on tab behind bar and restaurant is too tempting! |
