Excellent staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed. Well equipped bathroom. Location not too far from Forum Romanum etc. Our room was unfortunately on the ground floor, facing the street. Not a lot of traffic but the cars at night seemed to go through our room. Made it hard to sleep in spite of the great bed. |

The Kolbe is a lovely modern hotel in a beautiful heritage building and it is central to many attractions. Even though it is in the heart of the city the location is very queit, and there is very little city noise. The staff were very professional. The shower looks great with mosaic tiling and loads of shower nozzles, but the water temperature is tepid at best and the pressure is low - all form and no function. It seems it be the case in Europe that dribbly cool showers are standard, (water/energy conserving?) so why install a multi jet shower? |

Central location; within walking distance of all of Rome's tourist attractions; excellent breakfast buffet and outdoor seating area. Wi-fi connection required additional payment; late check-in. |

Great hotel, and we got a good deal, some how. I believe it is usually more expensive. Our room was a two-level loft, really nice. The staff were very helpful, and polite. The location was great for sight seeing Rome - we walked everywhere. |

greta modern room in excellent location. Bed was very comfortable and staff could not help us enough. Food in the restaurant was good(free glass of champagne with every meal) the mini bar in the room was not filled up everyday. i'm not sure whether this was policy or by acident. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Also no iron |

REally lovely hotel, when we got the right room. They upgraded me to a suite, then I realised that it had a mezzanine floor, very uncomfortable and inconvenient. They then offered me a shoe box room, tiny, right on the other side of the hotel and not good value for the money I spent. I refused to accept this room. They they gave me a lovely lovely room! We were very happy! The restaurant was truly excellent though pricey. The return to hotel via the Capitoline Museum was so beautiful with bird's eye views of the forum at dusk. A heavenly spot. Excellent location for all sights. Piped music from the bar morning and all evening. Annoying! |

I liked the location of the hotel, the services, the cleanliness of the room, the outdoor garden and the buffet breakfast. I did not like the location of our rooms in the basement! It was very noisy at night from passing cars and people. I also did not like giving the children a handicapped room and far away from our room. Although the hotel change the room the next day. |

The hotel location is superb, the bed was very comfortable and the room finished to a high standard of confort. the facillities were good with a lovely garden at breakfast and a terace for sitting out at at night The checkin staff neither welcomed us to the hotel or thanked us for our stay. This is not a familly friendly hotel. We felt about as welcome as a familly of cockroaches when we checked in. The restaurant staff were lazy about keping the tables cleared at breakfast and not much interested in their patrons comfort. Breakfast was good overall but Coffee from a selfservice vendpac machine for breakfast, in Italy ? - poor job!. Overall I have stayed at far better hotels for the same or less money. I would not go back. This is not a complaint. It is an observation. The Kolbe just doesnt quite measure up to what it promises. |

From this hotel we can reach most of the main tourist attractions either walking or taking bus. We really appreciate the fact that is located in a very quiet neighbourhood with some reataurants nearby. |
