I was very surprised with how nice and modern (very hip) the hotel was, the pictures on the website don't do it justice! The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We had stayed close to the trevi fountain for 3 days prior and it was very busy and noisy, it was so nice to come to the Kolbe and find peace and quiet, almost countrylike. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other families, couples, or business travelers. The family room we had was spacious...perfect for a family of 5. No, nothing. But please put kleenex in the room or bathroom! :) |

We had a room for 4 which normally would cost an arm and a leg- this was reasonably priced and large enough for all of us. My kids loved the loft - The location was a bit out of the way. It was not an easy walk to the Colloseo train station. We had fun looking for different ways to get there but it was not as close as we were led to believe. |

The interoir furnishings were very modern and the hotel was situated in an excellent area close to the Roman Forum. The buffet breakfast was very good. |

Hotel was VERy well situated for sight seeing. On a quiet street the hotel is very new, modern, clean, lovely gardens for al fresco dining. Restaurant was very good and average prices for the area. Hotel also had a guest use pc but was wi-fi enabled in all rooms which was a better option. All staff were very curteous and helpfull and fluent in English and other European languages. Rooms did not have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. |

The staff at the hotel was very kind and helpful. The room was simple, nice, and clean. We looked forward to relaxing in our room after a long day of touring the city. The shower in our room was literally 1.5' by 1.5' which is way too small for a normal sized person to shower without hitting his/her elbow on the walls. |

Clean, spacious well-designed room with nice bathroom and good air-conditioning (at those days in Rome, temperature went up to 30 C during the day). Nice restaurant with very nice outdoor garden - it was very nice to have breakfast there. Also, in all aspects very clean hotel. |

Loved the air conditioning! We were in Rome during a heat wave, and the A/C in our room was spectacular! The bathroom was luxurious, even by U.S. standards, and the slippers were a lovely little bonus. (I used mine in the room and during the flight home). We had our breakfast on the patio overlooking a serene garden...quite a novelty in Rome, and much appreciated. Unless you plan on having a taxi pick you up at the hotel, be prepared to do a bit of walking. The hotel is in the midst of the historic district, so we didn't mind the walking, and we were taking photos less than a minute from the front door! |

This is a new hotel with modern design refurbished from an older building with high stone ceilings in a quiet yet central location, right next to the Forum and 20 minutes brisk walk to the Coloseo. The back garden and restaurant are a green oasis from the traffic and heat of Rome's city center. I will stay at this hotel again. The rooms on the first first floor facing the street would not be desireable. |

Hotel reception very polite and helpful. Breakfast fresh baking. Bathroom jacuzzi bath and powerful shower and slippers provided. Pleasant garden area to enjoy early evening drink. Ideal location for ancient ruins, less ideal location for shopping or metro stations. |

The reception and the room were very elegant and attractive. The reception staff was very polite, helpful and professional. The breakfast buffet was also very satisfying. We think that the price, about 920 euros, for six nights is more than we are willing to pay next time we visit Rome. The walking distance from reception to our room a little too long. Endless corridor walks is not my favourite holiday activity. We would have preferred a couple of chairs and a little table to be able to do something else (e.g. |
