Hotel L'Approdo  

A stunning location beside Lake Orta. Our room had a balcony and wide full length windows so we could sit and watch the view inside or out. The food was marvellous and the service very attentive. We found the hotel very easily using satnav and there was ample parking out of season - not sure how it would be when the hotel was more occupied.

For me the bed was too firm - I find this a persistent problem in most hotels. This will be the one thing that makes me pause before going again.

The room was very nice and well equipped although lacking a bit of warmth.

The staff were not very friendly. The breakfast was of very poor quality and not much choice. I booked and paid for a room with a Lake View and had a huge tree in from of my window which did not allow me to see the Lake. A huge dissapointment.

the room, its terrible color combination of green, blue, orange but as well the painting or better said lack of painting. In the roof the color went off, not good for a 4 Star. Its more 2 1/2 - 3 Stars than a 4 star

Everything was great! Firiendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, pleasant spatious rooms, a good private garden, beach and pool. Everything one needs to have a quiet rest from the noisy city life. We spent 3 days in l'approdo, then left for the seaide (as was planned), but after taking a look at the stuffy hotel, streets crowling with people and the sea with dead fish in it, we canceled our sea reservation and returned back to l'approdo. So much better there!

Close to the lake and therefore able to swim in it from hotel. Closish to the town. Friendly and helpful receptionists.

Clearly room was used by smokers. The decor was nice in lounge but a complete mosh mash everywhere else which was dated in the rooms. Horrible taste and hotel generally looks tired and looks nothing like in booking.com pictures. Our ceiling had damp patches. Bathroom was way too small and my pregnant wife really struggled to get in and have a decent shower. Breakfast was a disaster I had to ask for everything as only the butter was on the buffet table. Coffee was late and waiters completely useless and clueless. Not a good experience and a waste of money mind you hotels in Italy are mostly poor and I've stayed in plenty to know this is true.

The situation. Right next to Lake Orta. Possible to swim in lake from hotel grounds. Also, a tourist boat stops at the hotel pier which is very convenient.

It felt a bit impersonal. The largest number of any nationality were germans which meant that it did not have a particularly Itralian feel. Other than the scenery, it did not feel as though we were in Italy.

Very friendly and helpful personnel. Marvellous location on a lake shore.

Quite old hotel. The room I was living in should be renovated for sure. Wi-fi connection was not working in my room - very poor signal.

unser Aufenthalt im Hotel L'Approdo war sehr schön und das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet und wenn man Seeblick gebucht hat, traumhaft ! Das Frühstück war auch super und wir werden sicher wiederkommen !

Extrem freundliches Personal, herzlich. Schönes, modernes Zimmer mit Parkettboden, Design. Essen im Restaurant sehr gut, Kellner äusserst freundlich.

Accueil très chaleureux Chambre très spacieuse et très calme, avec une grande terrasse et vue magnifique sur le lac Jardin très agréable en bord de lac pour se poser au calme

Piscine pas encore en service début mai Matériaux et couleurs pas très élégant dans la salle de bain Le SPA est payant pour les clients (et assez cher)

gentilezza e cortesia del personale che ti accoglie all'arrivo ci hanno informati che, visto il maltempo, ci avrebbero dato una stanza di livello superiore allo stesso prezzo! Che sorpresa piacevole, stanza con notevoli comfort e design moderno. Albergo molto pulito!

La gentilezza e disponibilità del personale specialmmente alla reception e la praticità di utilizzo della struttura in generale. La posizione sia geografica che ambientale. Una camera molto ampia e luminosa. Per noi (e quelli come noi) la possibilità di portarci in vacanza il nostro amato cucciolo.

La Chambre 300 avec vue sur lac, très spacieuse et calme. Les chambres dans la nouvelle aile avec vue sur lac sont à recommander. Les autres ont la vue et la tranquillité perturbées par la piscine. Piscine de grande dimension Personnel attentionné

Le restaurant ne mérite pas les prétentions qu'il semble vouloir se donner. Les chambres à l'arrière doivent être évitées car elles surplombent une route à circulation.

Piscine en cours de maintenance. Un geste en compensation aurait été apprécié.

L'hotel è proprio sul lago, comodo e con ampio parcheggio. Abbiamo preso la superior vista lago ed era pulita e ben arredata.

Visto il prezzo della camera me l'aspettavo più spaziosa.

La situation au bord du lac Le Personnel de l'accueil agréable et parlant Français Le calme de la région

Nous avions réservé une chambre "côté montagne" comme dit la Direction , comprendre côté route à 20m et voie ferrée au dessus !!! Nous avons pu en insistant changer pour une suite sur le lac puis pour une chambre toujours sur le lac avec un supplément non négligeable;La Direction essaie de remplir ces chambres difficiles et nous avons eu le sentiment que les Client Booking étaient des clients de seconde classe. Les petits déjeuners sont corrects mais pas à la hauteur d'un 4* avec du jus d'orange pas naturel et du pain congelé. Enfin la piscine qui présentait une eau peu claire à notre arrivée a été fermée pour maintenance 3 jours après et toujours pas rouverte à notre départ. Embêtant quand cela se produit en plein mois d'août. Au final, un hôtel un peu vieillissant et le sentiment d'une Direction âpre au gain de manière générale.

trattasi di una struttura molto ben posizionata e ben tenuta, personale eccellente, camere accoglienti ma non funzionava a dovere l'aria condizionata in camera. Se potenziano l'aria condizionata ci ritornero' con vero piacere.

Belle chambre spacieuse et lit très confortable. Sa situation au bord de lac avec accès direct aux lignes de bâteaux.

Le service en chambre était parfois limite. Verres en plastic jamais remplacés entre autres, oubli de serviettes au milieu de la chambre etc.. Personnel de la salle du petit déjeuner souvent débordé. Le coffre fort est spacieux mais assez mal placé
