Hotel L'isola  

Older hotel but well located and clean. The staff were very obliging and the nearby restaurants fabulous. A perfect lay-over if traveling or several days when the suns out.

No lift, bags had to be carried up to the rooms.

This was a very nice hotel with friendly and helpfull people.Lovely pictures in the rooms and waking up seeing the sea and green nature straight ahead was also a pleasant way of waking up. Also the bright colours in the breakfastroom a bright start of the day. Will definitely be back!

The spectacular sea view for starters. The room was light and airy with lovely pictures. The hotel is comfortable, colourful and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's 5 minutes walk from the station or the beach. There are just enough local shops to be interesting, without it being too much. We found the trains and bus easy to use. An excellent hotel in an excellent location for a 2 day stopover.

Be warned, there are quite a few nice restaurants, but most of them don't open until 8pm

Furnishing and décor a bit dated. No ironing facilities / clothes washing facilities. Tea & coffee making facilities not available in all rooms.

Stayed here for 2 days before cruise and one at end, this is a lovely little hotel with the most friendly/helpfull staff ever had 2 different big rooms, first stay was double aspect with a sea veiw second stay had a sea veiw with balcony both rooms were great.Good continetial breakfast served,this is a great place to stay and good to use for cruises as is one train stop from cititavecchia(romes cruise terminal) when staying here try La Piazzetta in the square a great little resturant in the square.As another guest who found the hotel by chance said "what a hidden little gem".

Staff is young, friendly, hardworking and helpful. The dining room is especially cheerful and the breakfast is great. Setting on the village square is lively and some rooms have amazing sea views.

Steep stairs in the annex were very challenging for our 2 senior travelers.

our room had a breathtaking view of the sea and of a garden right on the coast, complete with palm trees. absolutely beautiful. slept with the windows open and could hear the pleasant sound of the waves. pure relaxation on excellent beds. great breakfast in the colorful breakfast room. we felt like we were with friends at home. thank you Francesco and staff! and, as if that were not enough, there are two very good restaurants right next door.

What a wonderfull little gem! Fantastic hotel, not too big! The views from the room were mind blowing, had a balcony and sea views, so close to the sea you could hear the waves! The room was very clean, great size and seemed refurbished not too long ago. I was on my own so made great escape. But would be great for romantic breaks too, really great hotel! Francesco the owner was really helpful and friendly, and continental breakfast was of a good choice too:) It is locate right in the center square of Santa Marinella, if you're staying in Santa Marinella I would only recommend to stay at this hotel, for sole reason of location let alone other benefits.

We liked being on the Mediterranean Sea. We booked early and asked for a view of the sea which they were able to give us. The small Piazza was very Italian and very charming. The Hotel Staff and Owners were very nice and helpful.

We stayed for one night en route to Lucca. It was a small friendly hotel with lovely views over the sea from the spacious rooms. A quiet location with a very good restaurant next door.

No lift and surroundings, overall not very inviting.

We stayed at L'isola on our way to our Cruise departure. It was a perfect place to relax and get ready to tour and cruise. The owners made us feel like family. They did everything they could to make us feel at home. The location, breakfast, accomodations, etc. were beyond what we expected! We loved it and the view was out of this world in Room 103!

There was really nothing we didn't like. Oh, maybe the shower could be a little bigger....but what a silly thing for us to even think of when everything was perfect.

Das Hotel ist für ruhesuchende Gäste wunderbar. Alle sind sehr nett, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist ideal, liegt das Hotel doch weg vom Strassenlärm direkt an einer hübschen Piazza. Die Zimmer sind schön und geräumig und haben z.T. einen herrlichen Blick auf den Schlosspark und das Meer.

Santa Marinella wirkt teilweise sehr ungepflegt. Müll im Dorf und an diversen Stränden wird nur teilweise weggeräumt. Ehemals schöne Plätze und Gärten gammeln trostlos vor sich hin. Es fehlt das Geld und eine engagierte Politik, um die vorhandene Schönheit wieder herzustellen und zu kultivieren.

Sauberkeit, sehr nettes Personal, Lage direkt am Meer, hervorragender Ausgangspunkt für Rom-Besuch(e)

Das Ganze war gut überschaubar, sehr feine und ausgezeichnete Restaurants in der Nähe!! Man hat seine Ruhe, aber mit dem Zug in nur einer Stunde in Rom.
