very few plugs in the rooms for computers etc. our room had a mezzanine to make use of the very high windows of the original building. it was silly having the clost and tea and coffee up there as it all had to be brought down the stairs.

The ambience is fantastic & owner is obviously a very dedicated watch collector as even the taps are made to look like watch crowns, the attention to details is inspiring.

Breakfast was good but not great.

The room was wonderful - comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom, powerful shower. Staff were very friendly and polite.

No bathrobe in the room. Perhaps there could have been more variety in the food at breakfast.

It was located close to the centre of Florence so everything was within easy walking distance.

Our every request was met with friendly and helpful response. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The location is great and the rooms are very comfortable and clean.

Very helpful friendly staff, excellent location, large comfortable rooms with great bathroom, probably particularly good as it is quite new so everything is in excellent condition still and well maintained. Realistic extras bill ie no shock charges.

This hotel exceeded my expectations all around. Right from the initial entry Stefania O. was like an angel! She offered to make our dinner/lunch reservations and secure our museum entries for our stay. She was quick to offer assistance, outline walking directions on the map and greet us each and every time with a kind smile. The hotel location was fantastic as it was in close proximity to the train station, the Duomo and the central market. I would highly recommend this hotel!

It is a friendly hotel. Staff are helpful. Location is good, It is clean and well maintained. It is like a typical European boutique hotel and gives a comfortable feel to travellers who want to stay longer there.

No decent restaurant for dinner even there are plenty around

Everything! A very beautiful hotel in a great location. Room was large and very comfortable, especially according to European standards.

Location and friendly stAff

It lacked: a shop to buy essentials and a decent workout facility with water and remote for the television. The odor off the bar made us nauseous after day 2. Besides that we liked the place.

A great hotel....far exceeded our expectations. If you are a family with 1 or 2 kids, request room 322.....while not huge, it is wonderful...upstairs sleeping nook for the kids and a private terrace with views of the Duomo! Gorgeous and relaxing common areas and bar. Lovely hotel and kind staff.

the streets surrounding the hotel (piazza santa maria novella) are busy and noisy.

Hotel L'Orologio is located right in the thick of the action. The hotel is clean and looks brand spanking new! The bathroom is large and clean, while the hotel is kept nice and clean. Location wise, it cant be any better. Close to the central station and facing Santa Maria. It is a 5 min walk to Duomo and everything is close by. We were referred to a great restaurant on our last day Boca Mario (Michelin star rating) where their Bifteca Fiorentina was out of the world. A bit pricey but well worth the dough. I saw a few previous reviews where the Reception folks were not friendly. We did not experience that. Stefania was a gem and Gabrielle was very helpful too. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. Things we liked: Location Location Location The bathroom was spacious. Nice reception folks

Things we didnt like Well one the breakfast was not as good as you would expect from a 4 star Hotel.Again subjective so take this with a grain of salt. We personally found it dull. I found silverfish in my room. Which I wasnt impressed it especially for a 4 star Hotel. Not 1 but 2. So that stayed in the back of my mind the whole trip. Go easy on the Perfume in the rooms. It was a bit too excessive.

Perfect location,appointment of rooms,spacious bath,beautiful breakfast room with its buffet selection,very courtious staff,on time car delivery,bar etc.There was nothing to complain about.

An excellent boutique hotel with spacious rooms and first class amenities. The staff are very friendly and helpful and provided sound advice to all our requests, The breakfast was first rate with a wide choice of fresh fruit, cold cuts and cheese offered in a large room with great views of the city. The location of the hotel is ideal for shopping and visiting all of the historical sites.

Is better to have a mirror in the room & not only available in the bath room

The hotel was very well presented and located particualry its proxmity to to the train station. The facilities and bar area were lovely

Upn arrival we struggled in the narrow doors with four hevy suitcases while the receptionist looked on. There was no welcome and after presentign our passports he dissappeared into the office and was laughing with other staff for some time before coming back out. We then had to ask for our luggage to be taken to our room. On check out same thing; no thank you for staying, smile, no assistnce to open doors when we left in the pourign rain. A very cold appraoch from staff. In the bar we ahd to wait soem time to be servived and had to remind the barman of our order several times as they were too busy chatting... staff here seemed to forget they were here to support guests!

Nice and luxury room, very interesting and elegant. I love the lobby, the rest room, and breakfast sapce as well, really beyond my expectation. A low-profile luxury hotel. Defiitely worth recommedation.

receptioner looks not happy....

Breakfast was really nice, big variaty of bakery, fruits and ham. Also the location is very good. Beds are very soft and comfortable. Also wi-fi in rooms is a big advatage.

It was very cold in my room, cool air was blowing from the closed window.

The size of the rooms and the location.

The only problem would be at the bar lounge.had to ask for someone to be at the bar for service.But it was only a small issue.
