We stayed in a standard room with magnificent view of the Valle Umbra through our two lovely shuttered windows. The king-sized bed was comfortable and the furnishings were simple, but tasteful-tiled floors, attractive bedcovers and headboard, and good lighting. The bathroom was a bit small, but manageable. The terrace, public areas and restaurants were lovely. We dined at both the Michelin starred and the more casual restaurants and both were exellent as were the waiters in each. In all, we were very pleased with our stay at La Bastiglia and thought the hotel was an excellent value. The parking situation was a bit difficult if you didn't get a space before the small lot was filled. We only learned on our last night, that we could get a voucher from the hotel to park in the nearby public parking lot. |

Very good breakfast, friendly staff, nice quiet room. The swimming pool wasn't open yet, eventhough I picked this hotel especially for the use of the pool. Some staff spoke a dialect so that there italian was difficult to understand. |

It was a beautiful setting and a good example of the area. The restaurant was fabulous. The hotel itself was a lovely and relaxing place. It was great to eat on the terrace and enjoy the extraordinary view. The charm of the place takes to back to another time. Now that we know some of the limitations of access, we would be more prepared to consider another visit. We were surprised that there was no help to deal with our luggage and it was very difficult for us as this was part of a longer trip. In the end, the chef helped us which was nice but not the way it should be. Also the amenities like the towels could be better for a 4 star hotel. We had a balconey but no cushions were there for the chairs and none at the pool. |

Rooms comfortable. Great location with excellent views over the surrounding countryside. Large terrace for dining in good weather. Apparently the food (dinner) very good but outside my price range so did not eat there. No choice of fruit juice for breakfast. - same juice supplied every day and in general breakfasts could have been better Bathroom just a little cramped |

El restaurante es lo mejor que tiene. Cocina de calidad e innovadora, y tiene una terraza con unas vistas increibles. Vale la pena ir a degustar las especialidades de la región. Habitaciones muy viejas, anticuadas y con un baño enano. |

L'albergo è accattivante, la struttura è antica e nel centro storico della città. Il bagno della nostra camera non era adeguato all'albergo, brutto, vecchio e con la copertura del wc non adeguata al sanitario. Arrivati abbiamo chiesto di cenare, ci è stato risposto che non c'era più posto, nonostante la terrazza fosse sì piena, ma la sala interna completamente vuota. Nel complesso per la nostra esperienza ci è sembrato un hotel con ottima apparenza ma sostanza non adeguata. |

Geweldig uitzicht, bijzonder verfijnde keuken gelegen in een prachtig plaatsje dat uitnodigt tot een meerdaags verblijf, zeker gezien de bereikbaarheid van andere mooie plaatsen is dit een perfecte uitvalbasis. |
