Hotel La Battigia

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice hotel; contemporary feel, light,airy and clean. Good size room with nice balcony and views. Breakfast was very good. Pool area small but exclusive feeling with direct access to sandy beach. Our room rate included car rental as a special offer; we had a very cool Fiat Panda with a dent in the wing which enabled us to blend in with the locals. Driving in Sicily is a challenge! All in all, a good value very enjoyable stay.

En suite did not have a bath- shower only which was quite small; would have been better if it was a 'walk in' type. Restaurant menu was a little restrictive if you did not like sea food (no problem for me!). No major problems.

Superb location right on the beautiful beach in the Gulf of Castellamare yet very quiet and peaceful at night. Private access to the beach and all usual facilities i.e. beach showers, good quality loungers and umbrellas etc.There is a good Restaurant on site and all the staff are extremely helpful and pleasant.

The service in the restaurant was below standard and very slow but improved greatly when this was brought to their attention. Some of the waiting staff were excellent but one chap was decidedly unhappy in his job and failed to raise a smile or offer any pleasantries. In his defence, language may have been a barrier. The other staff made up for his deficiencies.

The location is superb: sea and mountains, very quiet surrounded by holiday villas. Beach is not crowded; sea water is clean and clear. Room and bathroom is very spacious, bright. The food just excellent.

The shower cabin is too small. Difficult to rich Alcamo marina it’s about 1 km from Castellammare train station here no taxi at all.

Excelente ubicación para vacaciones de playa con familia. Es un sitio con poco desarrollo turistico. No muy lejos de la red de autopistas para explorar la región. Bufet desayuno amplio, aunque cada día lo mismo.

Parking (público) algo dificil los fines de semana. La ubicación es un poco aislada con una oferta limitada de bares/restaurantes sin coger el coche. Sin embargo, la ubicación más que compensa esta pequeña inconveniencia.

isolé, si on est pas en pension complète il faut manger dans le seul restau ou snack aux alentours, rien autour de l'hotel à part des maisons

La qualité de la restauration

Gostei sobretudo do facto de ser um hotel de pequenas dimensoes e fora dos grandes centros, quer citadinos quer de outros complexos turísticos.
