Economic and honest
third floor without elevator
Good location to get to the airport near to the train station and the shuttle bus is in front of the building. Clean.
3rd floor, poor breakfast!
We arrived in Palermo en route to Cefalu and stayed here for a night to see Palermo. It was so easy and we had a perfect base to go out and see the city. House of Lemons is very comfortable, and we were welcomed and treated really well by our friendly host - I recommend it.
The staff was friendly and accomodating to traveller's needs. It's located near train station and walking distance to most storic sights. The room was clean and comfortable.
Friendly staff, clean room and good location. Good wifi.
Bit noisy. Breakfast was not very extensive.
Perfect location, right next to the train station and bus stop (for the airport). Clean and well equipped. Lady who welcomed us was very friendly. Good value for money!
The bathroom wasn't attached to the room, it was on the other side of the main hall area and though we just stayed overnight and didn't bump into any other guests, it was a bit odd.
After leaving my previous disappointing B&B I stayed here for 1 night. It's on about the fourth floor so be prepared to carry your bags a long way. My room had a tiny balcony and personal bathroom, although it was external to my room so had to walk through the communal breakfast room to access it. The young lady who managed it was very nice and helpful although with minimal English, we got by thanks to google translate! It's right next to the train station with the airport bus out front, location is ideal for everything. I had to leave early morning so can't comment on the breakfast as I didn't have any but access was available to a kettle and a fridge 24 hours. I would stay here again
Not a lot
The woman in charge was very friendly and helpful. She didn't turn a hair when I soaked the bed in mineral water.
It's a long way from street level if you have a heavy bag, and there's no lift.
The owner Gabriela was absolutely great :) thank you so much for everything. The hotel has a perfect location in a city centre, close to everywhere. Gabriela is able to advise you regarding Etna tours and local restaurants.
WiFi didnt work well, but it was ok.
There was a very positive welcome; the rooms were spacious, modern and clean. Very close to the station - nearer than it looks on Google maps! English is understood and used.
When I arrived at the door I needed to use my mobile to make contact. Once that had been done the staff was very friendly and helpful.
At first I could not believe what my eyes have seen...its rather an apartment dived into many small rooms than a "hotel" , from your room you can hear every single noise from outside even when the slightest wind is blowing through the window...no privacy, everything is a scam! "breakfast" consists of cheap chocolate garbage and thats it, i wish scams like this would dissapear from booking.com since so far I have not come across anything as bad as this bs, excuse my language but I have to warn other people, i beared it because i just stayed there for 3 days, and only used it for sleeping
The position in the centre of the city. Room well cleaned and nice staff.
The room was a bit small but comfortable.
close to palermo train station,elevator,secure.
not the same building as disclosed in booking info.Shared bar fridge with 4 other rooms, plus it was barely at a cool temp.for my 4 nights. I liked palermo, but I wouldn't re-book at this place.PLUS CASH ONLY---COME ON PEOPLE.
Great little place - right near the main train station.
Being able to check in early (and drop off our bags while we went exploring). Daniella was totally lovely all the time. It was right next to the train station. The breakfast was available all the time, along with tea/coffee facilities. Aircon/TV in all rooms, all working.
1. The 6 flights of stairs were quite a challenge for those of us with mobility difficulties. They were badly lit and it was difficult to carry our stuff (Daniella did help on the way up though which was great). 2. In spite of the double glazing the non-stop noise of Palermo drivers (all crazy without exception) was a constant, and audible in every room. 3. The en-suite bathroom in one room was very smelly - damp and odorous. 4. The key got stuck in the door of the same room which, unsurprisingly, made the person staying there afraid to lock it.
climbing many stairs strong smell from the toilet
Location and welcome
Breakfast - no fresh bread/rolls Climb up the stairs
Great location in centre of city, handy for trains and buses and many historical sites. The place was simple, clean and comfortable and the young girl on duty very friendly. Good pillows and duvet -- always important considerations, I feel.
The 'breakfast' was terrible! Not worth the name. A tray left in one's bedroom with a squichy packet containing a kind-of- croissant, and some biscuits. Luckily there is a good cafe on the opposite corner of the square where you can have an alternative breakfast. Another slight drawback is that the accommodation is up four flights of steep stairs with no lift, so tough for reaching with heavy bags, or kids' equipment etc.
It was clean, central and functional.
When I reserved the room I advised them that we would not check in until after 21.00 and confirmed that we would pay 5e for late arrival. We arrived approx. 21.30. The door was locked and there was no answer to our constant ringing on the doorbell. Whilst trying to phone, my companion was mugged by a couple of guys on a scooter and was dragged along the pavement. She was badly bruised, cut and shocked. When eventually, the owner (I presume) answered our call she shouted that we had not confirmed we would pay the extra 5e. Which was blatently untrue. It took some time for her to let us in. We received no help and no apology.
The room was clean and the beds comfortable.
The breakfast was not more of these breakfast gathering of several products. He could not be breakfast without something warm to eat or cheese, meat and vegetables. You can not throw toilet paper in the bathroom. How might need to leave toilet paper all day and smell the trap bad smell remains? Was very noisy because the area is the Central Station.
Great location especially when you have to catch a train or bus early in the morning. Spacious, bright rooms.
Very noisy (due to location). Breakfast delivered to the room a day before which means you get artificial brioche, nutella and some toasted bread, box of juice; coffee or tea you prepare for yourself.
Location, just one block from the Central Train Station. The bus to the airport is located right in front of the B&B. Beautiful view of Piazza G. Cesare from the breakfast room balcony.
This is not a hotel, but a B&B and therefore there is not someone available 24/7. no elevator and you have to climb 70 steps with luggage to reach the B&B. Definitely not suitable for the elderly or handicapped. The water ran cold during our showers and no one was available to whom we could complain. The roll for breakfast was prepackaged. The towels are waffle-type cloths, not terrycloth.
Good location - just a few steps from the main railway station and bus terminal. Close to Palermo Botanical garden and seafront, not far from main city streets. Personnel helpful and welcoming, room comfortable and clean. There is some food and tea/coffee available all day in the hall, there is also a fridge where you could even store your food (if any). Good value for money.
Hotel entrance is not very easy to find when you arrive. But the main issue is that this B&B is located on someting like 4th floor but there is no elevator!! And if you have a suitcase weighting about 20kg, it makes it too hard to climb up and down! Besides the stairs are in darkness and not always the light goes on as you climb them... you have to really watch your step!
