La Casa Del Garbo - Residenza D'Epoca  

An excellent location directly on the Piazza della Signoria.

I don't expect perfection, but the description of this accommodation overstates the reality. There is no "home from home" feeling. This is not run by a hand on proprietor but as a business, with limited staffing hours. The rooms are clean enough on a macro scale, but the shades and curtains were rimmed with a feathery accumulation of dust that only comes over time. The internal courtyard is more like a small square alley full of air conditioning and ventilation equipment. All you want to do is keep the window closed and that means limited fresh air and light. The breakfast was the poorest I have had in many travels to Europe. Choices were limited as was the quality; 1 bottled juice, only 2 types of cheap buns, fruit (pineapple and melon for my 3 days!) and sliced meat. No yogurt, cheese, cereal, etc.. It's not offensive, but do read the other reviews. There is consistency. The hotel's rating diverges the most from my reality of all the places I have stayed, so I must presume something is slipping here.

Could use better pillows.

The welcome from the staff and management was exceptional. They recoomened and booked restaurants for us on 3 evenings all of which were perfect The property is intimate and classically furnished. The location is superb - you are on the Piazza Signoria, 50m form the Palazzio Vecchio and 75m form the Uffizi Gallery We stayed in the Michelangelo suite on the first floor which was wonderful. The suite has 2 large double rooms with a dining table and kitchenette in the main room. Their are fantastic views over Piazza Signoria from the main room. We added breakfast to our "room only" booking and it was borought to the room each morning.

Location. The staff was really helpfull.

Camera Beatrice: cuscini inesistenti, letto matrimoniale in realtà composto da due materassi singoli uniti e pochissima luce (dalle finestre non entra nulla). Per quanto riguarda la colazione, non è abbondante ed è presente un unico tavolo per tutti gli ospiti: si sta un po' stretti!

Samimi, evinizde hissettiğiniz ortam. Tarihi ve çok merkezi bir konumda.

Staff disponibile, gentile, struttura gradevolissima, ottima posizione, ottima la colazione, camera pulita e in ordine.

Bien situé, en plein centre historique et commercial. Accueil trés sympa, et chambre d un trés bon confort. A recommander

La ubicación es inmejorable y el desayuno fantástico (con fruta fresca, embutido, bollería del día...). Por el precio, creo que en Florencia es difícil encontrar algo mejor. Estaba todo limpísimo y el personal era muy profesional. Lo único que cambiaría es que la decoración era un poco de abueletes. Ojo, el precio no incluye tasa municipal de nada menos que 4€ por persona y noche.

Su ubicación en el centro de la ciudad, la decoración de sus habitaciones y el trato amable y familiar del personal.

Las habitaciones no estan insonorizadas y se oye al vecino y sobretodo el ruido de la gente y los conciertos en la plaza en donde está. Hay que ponerse unos buennos tapones en los oidos.
