There was a safe I the room, the remainder of my cash was safe in it.
Waking in th morning to discover all the money gone from my wallet, while I slept. Was a fair bit of street noise.
Handy for station. 20mins walk to main attractions of the city. Ensuite W.C.& wash basin. Very good air-conditioning.
The B&B has staff present for only 1 or 2 hours each day so you need to inform them in advance when you expect to arrive. If there is a problem there is no one there to help. Other guests were screaming at each other & slamming doors in the early hours & no one was there to stop them. There is NO BREAKFAST in the building! It has been out-sourced to a nearby café where you are not allowed to sit down & the staff treat you like dirt & begrudgingly give you 1 cup of coffee & 1 pastry (we even had to share a plate!) I said ensuite WC because the shower didn't work! The luke warm water trickled out in droplets(5th floor plumbing). I hated the cigarette smoke in the corridor which was ALWAYS there when the staff had visited:it was difficult to prevent it seeping into our room. We have stayed before but wont stay here again.
The position of hotel is good. Near to central station.
There is nobody in reception. You have to call them to take the keys, waste of time. The receptionist is an unfriendly man. You should be carefull about the keys. You can find yourself locked in the hallway of the hotel.
The breakfast was a coupon to get a cup of coffee incl. 1 croissant in a cafe in the same street
The owners & staff were wonderful! After reading some negative reviews I thought I'd made a mistake but it was perfect for my daughter & I. The a/c was awesome! The bedroom was cute & though we went to a restaurant for the free breakfast, it was perfect. Money well spent & it was so close to the train station that we parked our car in the nearby garage & took the bus & train everywhere! Yes, it's in the city & there are places nearby that have homeless people but that's just how big cities are. We would book again!
Having to give a specific time to meet at the hotel to check-in, but I understand why the owners need to it as they aren't onsite so you're more renting an apartment from them rather than staying at a hotel or traditional bed & breakfast. Once you understand that, you can see where it's like you have an appointment to have someone meet you at your new "house" to hand over the keys, per sey. All we had to do once we realized we'd be late was to call them to let them know that we'd forgotten about the time zone difference & that we were stuck in traffic. It worked out perfect!
Located in Termini! Relatively cheap. Clean room (except bath room) Seemed as a safe place. Pick up service offered.
Plumber problems. I expected La Casa Dell'Arte to be a hotel without receptionist and lower quality but the B&B is just 3 rooms from an apartment.
lacation is quite good near metro and train stations. quiet clean hotel. friendly in charge person that handles your requests quickly
internet connection is poor in the room,i had to get out to nearer to the router
fair for price
staff spoke no english no reception, just rooms included breakfast is just one croissant and one coffee while standing
Location was good for people travelling with bus or train. Wifi working alright.
Had to wait long time when arriving to be let into room, while arriving time was given and met with from my side. Breakfast is at restaurant nearby while told to be presented at room. Its not nice at all and staff presenting it is probably not paid well for it; as they treat you to get you out asap and no flexibility with allergies or whatsoever.
I don't know where to start. Probably at the rudeness of the staff. They do not speak much English so very hard to understand...told them I would arrive at approximately 2pm... I had an email at 2:01pm asking where we were because they had to go out. (Not 24 hour hotel) Then...the most frightening night of my life...about 3am the buzzer to the hotel was going frantically... The door from the main road doesn't lock leaving anyone to come up to the main hotel door (which is on the 5th floor)... The area isn't very safe at all - scams everywhere. Anyway...they started banging the door and continuing to ring the buzzer...I was too scared to go out...another couple went out but didnt let them in. I was too scared to even put the light on. I rang the owners and said there was someone frantically banging (like they were after you, it was like a horror film) but they said YOU WOKE ME UP and said what were they suppose to do about it (there's no reception...no one is there 24 hours which is very unverving). I sent two messages to the owner telling them I was going to ring the police, luckily the banging stopped at about 4am. It's horrible because there is only one door out of there and someone was banging on it (apparently prostitutes and crazy people live in the flats too) so we felt TRAPPED. We were suppose to stay 3 nights but we LEFT after our first night because I was too petrified - I didn't sleep after that. We got up and went to another hotel. When I asked for a refund and some kind of explanation as to why they didn't do anything about my phone call or even care for the safety of their guests, the lady simply didnt care and refused to give any money back. She said if there was a crazy person what was she going to do... imagine how we felt trapped in our rooms!!! She then rudely started talking Italian to the cleaner so that I couldn't understand. I hope people read this review as I wouldn't suggest this hotel to my worst enemy.
no one to receive you , the lift broke down twice. Leaving I had to carry my luggage down 5 flights of stairs. 2 times I had to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to my room. Did not have clean towels for 3 days
The Location is excellent.
Location is good, next to Termini station and walking distance to Colosseum.
Very unfriendly staff. In the building and surrounding area you can't feel safe. Breakfast include only coffee and one croissant. I do not recommend, you can find much better accommodation.
Room was small but it was clean and useful for sleeping only
Hotel was near train station and in my opinion in a dangerous area with pick pocketers and vagrants. Someone tried to pick my pocket on the way from the train station to the hotel. We did not feel safe staying there. We were afraid to go out after dark. The description of the hotel gives you the impression that it is a nice hotel on the fifth floor of nice old building, when it is in fact an old run down building with dirty hallways and an elevator that has barely enough room for luggage and 2 persons. Once you get on the fifth floor and through the door into the hotel area it is nice enough. Please note that the hotel is not staffed all day so if you need assistance you are out of luck. On the second day of our visit someone broke a key off in the door from the street. and it was left unlocked so anyone could get into the building. On the third day it was still not repaired and when we returned about 6:00 PM from sightseeing and shopping the door was locked and we had trouble getting into the building with no staff on duty to help. The shower is the smallest I have ever seen, probably less than 60cm square. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
Kinda hard to find the hotel Non English speaking caretaker Shower water slightly cold Shower area was small
The room was spotless and the bathroom looked brand new
The bed was VERY uncomfortable
Location was excellent. Room was good and clean. Wi-Fi was better than what we get At Hotels.
The cubicle for the shower in the bathroom was very small. Breakfast was nothing great.
I like that the location is near the main station.. Termini station..
Towels smell like vinegar.
The location in the city center is very good!
The reseption desk was in another part of the building, and there were many doors and keys :-(
Central location with easy access to all areas we wished to visit. The breakfast (coffee and croissant) was very good. Lovely, clean and comfortable room, huge bathroom. I would highly recommend staying here.
very nice staff that cares for the visitor small but comfortable room with air conditioning good for people with small kids (no problem with a baby cot) lift availabe
breakfast means a coupon for a coffee and a croissant in the bar nearby
The hotel was in a good location which was convenient for getting about as it was very central and close to the main termini station.
There was no one at reception during most of the day and when we realised that the aircon/heater was not working; there was no one to assist and we spent the first night rather uncomfortable. It would also have been nice if there was a kettle or some sort of hot drink facility on site as we had to pop by to McDonalds every night. The continental breakfast promised was also not available; we were sent to a local cafe for tea/coffee and one croissant. Definitely not a luxurious stay by all means.
We liked ,that there was WIFI connection and the place was close to the metro and bus stations. The man ,who worked there was polite.
The bed was so uncomfortable it was so difficult to relax there and the bathroom was small.Tha breakfast was one croissant with cappuccino.
It even has a kitchen so that cost saving is pissible if you prepare meals. Wifi was very fast. Close to Termini Station, which is convenient to go around the city. Surroundings were not cool but I did not feel dangerous.
