We stayed in the apartment, a traditional village house with a modern interior located a short distance from the main residence. The apartment is very cosy and well appointed for two couples with everything you need. Breakfast in the main house was excellent and served by Francesco each morning. Francesco was an excellent host and provided many suggestions for places to visit by car or foot. The village of Monticchiello is very picturesque with some very good restaurants and is well located for visits to Montepulciano, Montecino, Pienza and even Siena.
There was nothing to dislike!
This is simply one of the Best places we've ever stayed in. Tiny medieval town, super quiet and yet very convenient to explore Tuscany. The owner Francesco was really kind and friendly, helping us in what he could. Wonderful week!
2 excellent restaurants near by. Quaint place with all the modern feaures. Quiet.
The pillows are horrible. Get some new fluffy ones instead of those small bricks. Breakfast was prepared lovingly by the owner's son, but was pretty meagre by standards of other hotels we stayed in.
Place was very cozy and master of the house was very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.
It was very hot and we were kind of missing air conditioning.
Absolutely gorgeous location. The drive to Monticchiello was amazing and arriving at a hilltop "castle village" was more than we imagined. La Casa Di Adelina is a beautiful part of the village. The interior takes you back in time, but you have all the modern conveniences. Francesco Cresti is a wonderful host. He prepared delicious breakfasts for us and was very helpful providing maps for our day trips to Pienza and Siena. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Serena Cencetti runs the wine bar - La Guardiola just steps in front of the arched entrance to the village. Serena was very helpful and friendly and we looked forward to an aperitif in the outside garden setting. We hope to return to visit someday. I highly recommend La Casa Di Adelina to anyone who wants to relax, go back in time, be surrounded by natural and ancient beauty and meet great people like Francesco and Serena.
Absolutely charming in every way. There is an aristocratic air about Francesco and about the whole experience. Simple, elegant, effortless perfection.
Francesco is the ultimate host, he was always available to assist us during our stay!
For the physically chanallenged this is not the place to stay due to many steps to access the rooms.
