It was a bit chilly, but they had a heater in the bedroom. The bathroom never dried out so we had to leave the door open to dry our towels. All fixable minor inconveniences. The wifi was temperamental but that could also have been my device. After the first night, I was able to connect no problem.
Great location, just far enough away from the city to be country but close enough to be within an hour drive of Pisa, Lucca, 2 hrs from cinque terre, and great, quiet, non tourist beaches. The train station at Livorno is very simple to get to by car for adventures away from the area. Bruna, her husband, and their German Shepard Mec (sp?) are very friendly, made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were a treat, nothing like what we have in the US. The produce, meats, and breads were all locally grown, local meats or home made. I would stay here again, my first choice.
