The bed is similar to other beds we had in Italy, in that it's a queen, but shorter, so not great for taller guests. More importantly, it's a spring mattress and it was very uncomfortable.
Also, be aware that the price for lunch or dinner in the restaurant is very expensive for the area.
We really enjoyed our stay at La Chiusa and I would highly recommend it to others. The location is perfect for exploring other hill top towns and the staff was always warm and welcoming.
We had a double room, number 115, which it was quite large and had a view looking across their back lawn towards Montepulciano. The main highlight (for me) was there beautiful bathroom with it's claw foot bathtub! My fiancé also loved the shower which has great water pressure.
Also, the breakfast each morning was amazing. They have a table waiting for you and they serve you any style of coffee and eggs, plus fresh bread, meat, fruit, cake and they're delicious young pecorino cheese. There was so much food that we often took some of the left overs with us for afternoon snack.
While we didn't eat dinner, we did ask for a small salad with cheese and bread, plus two glasses of Prosecco upon check in, which was lovely, although be warned, it's expensive. Considering the spread at breakfast, we felt it was worth it.
