The receptionist gave us a bedroom for handicap people. Given that there was no shower curtain or glass you just couldn't take a shower without sprinkling the whole toilet and flooding everything! We had to use towells to dry the floor! Also the hotel is very noisy. We stayed in the ground floor next to the kitchen and it was impossible to sleep after 6am

Having a car meant that Hotel La Colonna's location just outside Siena wasn't a problem. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and the rooms were very modern and comfortable. We found the winter rates excellent value for money.

The staff was very friendly. The room was in the back of the hotel and therfore very quiet. The walk to town is not such a big deal. It truly is just one km. Then you enter the town at a place where u can take a free set of escalators that bring you directly to the awesome 'duomo'. The room was okay, but far too expensive. We had to book this room, because the other rooms in town were already sold out. Maybe Siena's accomodation is expensive in general, I don't know, but 130 euro for a double was way too much for what you get. It was New years day... I reckon the normal price is 100 euro.

The room was very clean, with internet in the room without charge and with private parking without fee. The brakfast is excellent. The hotel is really far from the city, if you don't have car is not worth it to stay here.

The staff especially Bruno and Eduardo were extremely helpful and courteous. They went out of their way to be of assistance. The hotel is located close to the historic center of Siena. One can either walk (20 min. Or so) or take a bus right at the corner. At breakfast quite a variety of food is provided including fresh fruit. This is a suggestion rather than a complaint. A computer for people travelling without one might be useful for those that simply wish to send an e-mail.

Desk staff was the best we encountered. Full, spacious facilities. Elevator was great. The location was neither in the city enough, nor outside the city enough. A villa on the outskirts of town would be better.

Spacious room, basic decor, availability of ample parking on hotel grounds, good beds, good wifi signal, good breakfast, an excellent pizzeria/restaurant nearby (la verbena). Location at the lower edge of town, takes about 25 minutes walk leading to the outdoor escalators that whip you up into the town center. On one section, the walk on the road is a bit difficult as there are no sidewalks and only a minimal strip on the side, thus not good to walk with children. However, there is a bus stop practically in front of the hotel, which apparently brings you to the town center, we missed this information.

A warm welcome, clean and comfortable room with an excellent though cramped shower, good linen and towels and a beautiful extra blanket. Buffet breakfast was good. The sun terrace was relaxing and sheltered, despite the proximity of the main road. We were too timid to brave the unheated pool but enjoyed the idea of a swim in warmer weather. We would return. The Verbena restaurant nearby was excellent. A pity about the traffic and the defunct petrol station opposite which is awaiting removal.

Location is very good for city trip, easy to find and well conected with main roads. It's really less than 20 minutes walk from heart of Siena (or ~10 by bus). There are many local restorants around hotel with very good home vine. Staff is helpfull and you can rely on them. Brekfast is typical Italian (read: basic). If you decide to stay in this hotel ask for room on pool side (oposite to the main street). The price is pretty high (in the same week I spent two days in Ravena for 30% less)

Staff was friendly and helpful-recommended a wonderful restaurant (with hotel card 10% off bill) within walking distance. Hotel was beautifully decorated and clean-one of the best we stayed in for the price. No complaints-well worth staying for many nights as a "home base" to visit nearby other towns.

Welcoming staff, parking facilities. Windows were double glazed so even though hotel is on a busy main road there was no noise at night. Lovely pool area, good breakfast.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel is located just outside of the entrance to Siena, and it has a bus stop right by it. It is great if you rented a car, so you don't have to drive into the city. The bus ride takes about 5 minutes and it costs 1 Euro. The breakfast was very nice and they will prepare fresh cappuccinos for you. It also has a private parking lot. We got a room that backed to the main street, so it was a little noisy...

Good location for visitin historical Siena. It has a very nice pool and patio area that was great for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The front desk staff was very freindly. Breakfast was adequate. Great value! The road noise if you have a room in the front. Although a few glasses of vino before bedtime, seem to solve that issue.

Everything was very clean, nice employees, good breakfast and free parking! It's not far from the city centre but you should go to the center by bus since parking is expensive. The bus station is 10meters away. Be aware that buses only go till 19h! If you have a car, pick it up and from 20h, there's free parking at the city center
