Fantastic place, everything perfect,a piece of history. We loved our room with its amazing views, we had the best of times here. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. We loved the little extras such as tea and a kettle in the room. I cannot stop telling everyone about this fascinating place.

Nothing to do with the accommodation but there can be a lot of mosquitos around in Matera - would advise anyone travelling there to take insect repellent.
The location is great, we had fabulous views over the gorge from our room. The rooms are built out from the rock and are grouped around a central courtyard so that everyone has their own individual entrance. The best feature of this though are the owners who make you feel so welcome even though their English is limited, as is my Italian. We got through with laughs, hand gestures and a spattering of both languages! Very highly recommended.

One of the best experiences we ever had. The owners are wonderful people and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Mimo is an artists and his work is very beautiful. The location is simply great!! Breakfast was very very good, with homemade jams. Is you are goiung to visit Matera, this is a geat option for overnight stay.

There should be a bigger sign in order to easily find the place. Otherwise, it is perfect
Everything! Tiziana and her husband Dominico put their heart in their work. The place is immaculate, so beautifully designed = a mixture of authenticity and modern. Great breakfast, cannot wait to go back....

I can think of only two negatives about the place. We found the bed to be a bit hard and it was noisy at night. You are, after all, in a cave – effectively, an echo chamber – that is directly facing Piazza San Pietro Caveoso, which seems to be a main meeting point. There did seem to be some kind of noise ordinance at about midnight, though, because the loud conversations just came to a dead stop around that time all three nights we were there.
So many great things to say about this place that I hardly know where to start. The B&B directly, and I do mean DIRECTLY overlooks the Piazza San Pietro Caveoso which, in turn, overlooks the sassi of Matera. When you have a cup of coffee or glass of wine on your patio you will have one of the most amazing views you'll ever see. I think we are the only people in the world who didn't know that this is where they filmed "The Passion of the Christ." You do feel like you're overlooking ancient Jerusalem or Jericho when you look out into the ravine. Even from inside the room, you get this great view. The doors are double-doors, glass with an inner hinged part that you can lock for privacy or move aside for the view! The decor in our room was so creative! I have never had a shower with a wall to wall mural before. Bathroom door was low though. Husband is six feet tall and bonked his head a couple of times. The living room has this wonderful backlit sculpted scene of the sassi. The owners installed very focused lighting in different spots throughout the two rooms, and were all switched separately so you could select very architecturally interesting effects. I really enjoyed that. There is a mini fridge with some items to purchase - and free bottles of water. There are dishes and pots if you want to prepare any food yourself. And there are a few bottles of wine available for purchase for something like 10 euros. So, if you want to settle on the patio with a nice red, you don't HAVE to go out and buy a bottle. There is quite a lot to see within walking distance from the B&B – as long as you are in decent physical condition. This is not the place to visit if you have knee issues! We parked the car when we arrived and didn't use it again till we left three days later. I'll add a few pointers that we would have liked to have known... First, finding the place: We booked with Booking.

bathroom not 100% clean
Excellent location inside the Sassi. Great views all around. Very friendly staff. Beautiful room in a restored cave house. Overall a very special experience

Every traveler who wants to try sleeping in a stone house should be aware of the humidity. To prevent it the owners turn on the air-conditioning during the whole night and it helps to certain extend.
The owners - extremely nice and helpful, the place with the best view of Matera. The breakfast - the best breakfast we ever ever had in Italy. The couple also help us getting a very friendly young English speaking guide for a tour through the old Sassy! Great experience!

Wonderful B&B. Would stay here again

I can't say anything negative. We had trouble with wi-fi, however, it was not crucial so I did not ask Mimmo or Tiziana to help. Had I asked, I am certain the issue would have been resolved.
You can not get a better location than this. Mimmo and Tiziana was so helpful when we had trouble finding it, only because the road was blocked temporarily. Parking was simple, right by the chiesa next to the bed and breakfast. The room was beautiful, large clean and well appointed. Breakfast we delicious and the space where it was served stunning. We originally booked one night but once we arrived, we immediately asked if we could stay for two nights. We plan to return next month because we had such an incredible visit.
