La Darsena is set in Moncalieri, on the banks of the River Po, 4 km from Turin. It offers free parking, and great public transport links to Turin city centre. We spent three weeks travelling around Italy and liked this hotel the best of all. We booked in for a second time on our return leg and were not disappointed. Our room looked over the river; it was large and well appointed with a spacious bathroom. The AC was superb considering the temperatures were in the high 30s and there was even a fridge in the room. The staff were incredible: knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. If you want visit the Turin region, or you are just passing through, The Darsena is an ideal hotel.

Travelling in a minivan with wife and 4 older kids. Very pleasantly surprised. Outside of town, but that worked well for us. Very nice location on the river. Well kept,smaller hotel. Had no trouble getting parking, but hotel was not too busy. Stayed on main floor, so did not use elevator, so cannot comment on that. Had a nice picnic dinner with the family, in the back, overlooking the slow moving river (bring some bug spray). Very clean. Good value. Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Would stay there again. Only issue was again air conditioning couldn't get the room quite as cold as we would have liked it. Not sweltering, but just not quite cool enough.

Location is not far from any important traffic lines, time saving to start next day. Nevertheless not far from historical centre. Very good welcome from personell, speaking several languages. Good diversified breakfast. All in all very budget friendly nothing to say

Mi e' piaciuta la posizione nella carina cittadina Moncalieri molto vicino alla citta' di Torino. Inoltre sia il personale della reception e della sala per colazione molto cordiale. Non mi e' piaciuto il comportamento di certi ospiti anziani che credevano di essere in gita scolastica e parlavano ad alta voce in corridoio incuranti degli altri ospiti che cercavano di riposare.
