La Dependance

Lo mejor del hotel es su ubicación.

Aunque nuestra habitación (para 4 pax) disponía de un lavabo y wc (de dimensiones exigüas), la ducha y el resto de servicios de aseo eran compartidos con las otras 4 habitaciones del hotel, creando graves problemas de confort entre los huespedes. Hoy en día eso es inadmisible.

Clean, well maintained and very spacious room with some period features still intact in an excellent location. Friendly staff made an effort to speak English too. I enjoyed my stay.

Due to high ceilings and wooden floors it was extremely noisy both from the other guests and plumbing, a few rugs would probably deaden the noise. We were only provided with one extra pillow in addition to the two very thin ones on the bed. €10 for parking didn't impress me much either.

The friendliness of staff. The room was spotlessly clean. The location would have been great if it wasnt for the noise (see comments below).

The main downside of this hotel is that, because of its central location, there is alot of noise until about 1.30 am. This would not be a problem if there was air conditioning but there is not. Nor is there any fan. This forces you to sleep (or rather attempt to...), with the windows open, which makes sleep impossible. We averaged about 4 hours per night as the square below "woke up" at 7am. Do not book this hotel in the summer if you want to sleep. Staff were indifferent to me pointing this out on checkout. Car parking is not included and significantly adds to the nightly rate (10 eur per night). Breakfast is 9.5 eur per person - more expensive than local cafes. On reflection there were better offers for accomodation in this area.

Great view, brilliant location. Despite the shared bathroom the hotel was excellent and a real find in the heart of Menaggio.

Didn't include breakfast, which was quite expensive in the nearby cafes. There was a good supermarket and bakery nearby which meant this wasn't a problem.

Het uitzicht op het meer, de bergen en het plein vanuit de kamer is echt super. De locatie is perfect midden in het centrum, alle voorzieningen op loopafstand. De gezamenlijke badkamers zijn groot en schoon en gezamenlijk gebruik hebben wij niet als hinderlijk ervaren.

Wellicht het rumoer 's avonds tot een uur of 12, hetgeen inherent is aan een dergelijke centrumlocatie. Echter na 12 uur is het rustig. Voor degene die eerder willen slapen is het raadzaam om een paar oordopjes te gebruiken, werkt prima. Dit punt weegt echter zeker niet op tegen de superlocatie.

Kale kamer met werkelijk helemaal niets van comfort. Geen spiegel, geen wasbakje, geen airco, geen koffiezetapparaatje, niets om je koffer op te zetten. Alleen een bed, tafel en 2 stoelen. Tot laat in de nacht is er erg veel straatlawaai. Het toilet is op de badkamer die je met meerdere kamers deelt en is dus vaak niet beschikbaar. Kwaliteit-prijs verhouding was ons inziens niet goed.

Les chambres très spacieuses, la situation de l'hôtel,

La salle de bain commune qui était propre pour le premier occupant, le prix pourrait comprendre un petit déjeuner.

Traumhafte, zentrale Lage, tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis; WC am Gang stört nicht; Garage für Hotel buchbar;

Leider "nur" Zimmer auf Seitenstraße, Zimmer auf Platz und See wäre noch schöner gewesen; Gepäckanlieferung bei Ankunft etwas mühsam-kaum Parkplätze;
