La Fattoressa

Viel niet tegen maar wat erg lastig was, is dat de eigenaresse van de boerderij..alleen maar italiaans praat. We werden de eerste dag ontvangen door iemand die daar in dienst is, die praatte goed engels en zei ons dat we haar alles konden vragen als er iets zou zijn..maar de dagen daarop was zij niet aanwezig.

Angelo was the friendliest host I've ever had. Even though he only spoke a few words of English, he was still able to explain how to get in and out of Florence with the least hassle on our part. He gave us complimentary bus tickets, and customized a tourist map so that we could find our way to specific sights. He also comped us two bottles of the family's wine when we left! The whole staff there is very friendly they make you feel like family. It was also great that we could park our car in their courtyard next to the room without having to fight through Florence's maze.

Italian style breakfast there is not suited to standard American pallet. My pregnant wife could not eat the fresh bruschetta with olive oil, tomato and cheese. Nobody but Angelo could communicate in English.

La Fattoressa is located just sw of Florence, making the Tuscan countryside easily accessible. The rooms open to a large garden which was lovely in the spring. A huge country breakfast (Italian style) was served in an enormous dining room in the main farmhouse. The room was large and very clean. The owners do not speak English, but were very hospitable and we managed very well.

Very helpfull staff (thank you for everything Angelo). Wonderfull place to reach Firenze.

Nothing

Just the most fascinating place to stay when visiting Florence and the adjacent Tuscany. Marvellous garden park and a pool situated just in the outskirts of the city, calm and quiet. Superb rooms, cleaned meticulously every day. Angelo and his family are the best hosts you can ever wish. The food is excellent and the wine is just twice as good as the one you can have in Montalcino!!!

Very hospitable owners and staff; it was no problem to check in early. A bottle of wine was served at the pool to welcome us. Very helpful tips from the owner, Angelo, to get to Florence by bus. He even supplied us with bus tickets. Lovely varied breakfast at a large table together with the other guests.

It's a family hotel and people are very friendly. I miss the breakfast and ham.

Wonderfull people especially "La Fattoressa" herself, Angolina is the perfect host, she really makes you feel like part of her Familia. The rooms are great amd comffortable and how can you beat the tranquility of knowing that your vehicle is also within the gates of La Fattoressa? The young Ladies that help Angolina were also very friendly and attentive. Thank you

Too little time

La Fattoressa is run by two very old italian ladies, which are really nice and very friendly. The breakfast is very good since it is home made, tomatoes from the garden and very nice bruschetta each morning. The whole accomodation has a very family atmosphere and it is extraordinary experience. The room for two is very romantic, it is in the garden with its own entrance and terrace with table and chairs. Very nice for late evening sitting outside. This accomodation is very good for young couples or married couples who enjoy special atmosphere and does not need a huge luxury.

It is 10-15 minutes by car from the centre of Florence. If you have car, it is no problem to go to city each day. If you travel by plane, or train, you have to go to the city centre by bus. Other than the location, there is nothing negative on the hotel.

A farm-based stay within a bus-ride of Florence city centre meant we didn't have to worry about driving and parking in town. Parking on site was secure and plentiful. "Mama" was delightful; she spoke no English, but was very friendly. We had asked to eat on the premises on our first night, and the multi-cultural, multi-lingual conversation around the table with the other guests was one of the highlights of our holiday in Italy, in spite of being expected to eat so much! "Mama's" home cooking was a treat. On our second night we ate in Galluzzo and enjoyed the town's Sports Festival on the way home watching demonstrations of gymnastics and judo. We felt less like tourists and more like locals. Lovely!

Everything about La Fattoressa inspires peace and tranquility. The surroundings are beautiful, the scenery is idyllic, the sounds of the distant horses and the bell of the nearby monatery are appeasing. The small scale of this little B&B is perfect for restfull vacations.

Great location just a short bus ride outside Florence. Beautiful room ( clean with a rustic Italian style). Extremely warm and welcoming owner. Great to have use of the garden & pool. Free & fast WiFi available.

I personally enjoyed it, but some may find the breakfast a little basic (bread, cheese, salami, coffee & juice).

La Fattoressa is just outside of Florence, a short bus ride into town. We found the place very relaxing and we liked the pool. Room was nice, comfortable and very clean. We were very happy with the accommodation and would happily return.

Breakfast was very poor. No cereal, no choice of bread or fresh bakery apart from white bread and pre-packaged croissant full of sugar. Limited fresh fruit.

At La Fattoressa, for as long as your stay goes, you're part of the family. The cooking of la mamma is molto bene, the relative quietness of Galluzzo is a nice change from the hectic Florence centre and the rooms are impeccable. Be sure to work on your Italian, it will help a lot in interacting with the other guests (most of which are Italian) and do enjoy the dinners at La Fattoressa or go for one of the non-touristic restaurants in the centre of Galluzzo. There's a regular bus service to the Florence city centre, but we preferred to walk (it's only 5 km).

Alles war ausgezeichnet!!! Man kann auch am Abend nach Rücksprache mit der Familie zu Abend essen und bekommt ein typisch toskanisches 3-Gang Menü serviert. Das war super lecker!!! Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und der Pool hinter dem Haus ist ebenfalls sauber und benützbar....Der Sohn des Hauses hat uns mit einer Stadtkarte alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten erklärt und wir konnten das Auto gesichert (hinter abgeschlossenem Tor) im Hof abstellen und mit dem Bus in die Stadt fahren. Die Gastfreundlichkeit und wie wir dort auch verabschiedet wurden ist nicht in Worte zu beschreiben und so manches Hotel könnte sich in punkto Freundlichkeit eine Scheibe abschneiden! Danke für alles wir kommen wenn wir nach Florenz fahren gerne wieder zu Ihnen!

L'accoglienza dei proprietari, la sig.ra Fattoressa e il figlio sono molto gentili e disponibili. La camera era molto spaziosa con un bel bagno e molto pulita. Colazione ottima e le cene su prenotazione ottime. Il giardino pieno di piante e immerso nel verde. Ottimi i collegamenti con Firenze centro e ottima posizione per visitare la zona del Chianti e Siena. Perfetto per una vacanza all'insegna del relax e della visita alla città artistica di Firenze. Lo consiglio vivamente sia per una coppia giovane che per una famiglia anche con bambini.

Comodita' per raggiungere Firenze in bus.
