La Giara  

A beautiful hotel class B&B. Friendly staff. Good location. Recommended to travel on Etna & south west of island.

Patricia, the woman in charge of La Giara, welcomed us warmly with lots of tips, and a good cup of cappuccino and cookies. La Giara is located perfectly in the city, with just a few minutes walking to restaurants and shops. The place has a good atmosphere, and it´s a good place to stay when you are planning to visit Etna, or want to visit the towns around. Be aware that you get a discount on the cable car at Etna if you stay at La Giara. Our room was really nice, with a balcony with a sea view. Not all of the rooms have their own bathroom. Patricia makes an effort for her guests, and she had baked a very good pistachio cake:) The breakfast is much better than other Italian hotels we stayed on during our trip, different cheese, hams, rolls, croissant, yoghurt ++

We had a very beautiful room with a huge balcony and a superb view. The owner, Patricia, was very helpful and recommended us a great restaurant for the evening. And she asked for our preferances for the breakfast and we had (in addition to traditional Sicilian breakfast) delicious ham and cheese and antipasti ;D. And before we left she gave us a big bag of unbelievably good oranges that we happened to praise the previous evening.

Confortable rooms, confortable bed, fantastic home made breakfast, fantastic tips from the owner (Patrícia), great localization.

Lo consigliamo vivamente. Ci siamo trovati benissimo. I consigli della proprietaria sono utilissimi e adatti ad ogni tua esigenza. Sempre disponibile e cordiale. Le camere sono ben arredate e pulite. Colazione semplice e genuina.

Nuestra estancia en la Giara fue excelente. Bien situado, habitación amplia y confortable, fácil aparcamiento... Patrizia y su tia nos trataron genial, sirviendonos un estupendo desayuno, casi a la carta. Nos indicó las posibilidades de excursión por el Etna y la ciudad de Catania. Y esto en perfecto castellano. Un hotel muy recomendable.

El trato personalizado y la atención a los clientes. Tuvimos alguna queja sobre la habitación que resolvieron casi inmediatamente. Nos dieron excelentes indicaciones sobre los lugares a visitar y nos hicieron sentir como en casa. La ubicación es buena para tener un coche de alquiler, está en las laderas del Etna y equidistante de Taormina y Siracusa.

Quizá el tráfico de hora punta en las tardes hace farragoso el acceso desde la costa pero es mejor que estar en la ciudad.

Accueil exceptionnel, Patrizia parle bien français, ce qui est plutôt rare et donne des informations précieuses. Petit déjeuner varié, même des oeufs si on le souhaite. Chambre propre et grande porte qui donne sur un balcon avec meubles patio. Bravo à Francesca et Patrizia pour ce bel endroit chaleureux que je recommanderais les yeux fermés.

L'accueil de la famille est excellent. Le petit déjeuner vraiment copieux et convivial.

La posizione strategica per visitare I dintorni (Taormina-Etna), la calorosa accoglienza, il servizio premuroso e attento, la capacità di fornire informazioni e consigli preziosi per oganizzare la giornata dell'ospite.

Een zeer grote en mooie kamer met prima badkamer en groot balkon met een zitje. Zeer goede bedden en heel schoon. De eigenares geeft zeer veel informatie over bezienswaardigheden. Goed ontbijt.

Het enige minpuntje is dat het op de eerste verdieping is zonder lift, dus voor ouderen misschien wat lastig om de koffer naar boven te dragen.

Nicolosi is een levendig plaatsje, goed om te verblijven. De prijs en kwaliteitsverhouding van de B&B is zeer goed. De eigenaresse spreekt goed Engels en kan veel vertellen en uitleggen over de omgeving, als je daar behoefte aan zou hebben. Je krijgt de sleutels en kunt dus gaan en komen wanneer je wilt. Parkeren van de auto is ook mogelijk. Mooie kamers; wij hadden er een met uitzicht op de zee.

De diverse routes naar Nicolosi kunnen verwarrend zijn, worden ook niet al te goed aangegeven. Neem een goede kaart van de omgeving mee want de routeplanner van bookings.com is niet heel duidelijk. Houd rekening ermee dat het verkeer druk kan zijn. Soms een beetje gehorig maar niet heel erg.

C'est plus un b&b ( logement chez l'habitant) que réellement un hôtel. L'accueil est exceptionnel !
