Wonderful breakfast spread. Good location. Very near the subway, tugged in a little corner. Near the city.
Great location, beautiful old hand made furniture. Very friendly hosts. Strongly recommended! Giulio, Giovanna, Tatyana Grazie Mille! We had very nice staying in Milano and hope to come back again. Alex & Elena
Everything excellent. Location, rooms, kindness of the host, breakfast, metro nearby.
WiFi was not working, but for me it was not a problem.
the fancy interieur, the extremely nice host who had great tips for us (locations, restaurants etc.), the breakfast buffet and the location
air condition was too hot and could not be down-regulated
- they surprised us with welcome champagne because we were on our honeymoon :) - the bathroom was very clean and especially liked the shower a lot! - many touristy places were in the waking distance - helpful and kind staff - nice breakfast including warm dishes - fast wi-fi
quite difficult to find the hotel
Charming rooms, and very clean. Enormous breakfast. Situated in a neighborhood away from the fray. Little restaurants, supermarket, all within easy distance of the Duomo and Milan center. VERY helpful and delightful staff. Giulio is wonderful!
Very spacious clean and fresh rooms at a very nice location
Really nice staff, breakfast is good, Excellent location. The bathroom is a 4/5 star hotel style loved it !!!! really big and clean
the only thing is that one of the rooms is near the entrace/recpetion which can be noisy in the morning if your a late sleeper.
Everything. The location, in a not so tourist area of Milan is perfect. Quiet and peaceful. Room: spacious, parquet floor, clean and with a silent and good air con. Wifi is excelent. Many good restaurants around. Giulio, the owner, is not only a good professional, but also a great person. A hidden gem in Milano.
Everything! Gulio- is soul of this hotel, he met us like relatives, and every time he was ready to help us. Hotel is nice, design and modern. Comfortable room and good location (20 min ) from Duomo. Thank Gulio, we liked hotel!
Breakfast was not so perfect, but it is not big problem
The room was just right, elegant and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We plan a return visit.
A little difficult to locate without a GPS.
No view outside from the window. Nobody at the reception, only when arriving and departing.
Location, welcome, clean room, good wi-fi, breakfast and suggestions from staff on locations to go
A/C - Did not work and room stayed at an uncomfortable temperature all night. Location of room next to what seemed to be the biggest bottling bank in the world which got cleaned at 5am in the morning - very noisy. Other than that a good experience spoiled by the above.
Location Clean Friendly
This is the only property of 10 booked through Booking.com for our entire trip to Italy and France that is rated a 10; indeed, it puts much higher-priced hotels and bed and breakfast establishments to shame. This could be a 5-star hotel because of its immaculate condition and the owner’s attention to detail and customer satisfaction. It is well situated - 5 minutes on foot from Porta Venezia Metro station (red line) and an easy walk to the Duomo. The place is spotless, well-appointed, and features the best of modern conveniences accented by tasteful antiques . . . a very nice, sophisticated atmosphere. The rooms are named, not numbered; ours was the Ciliegio (cherry tree). It is a room that is both welcoming and extraordinarily comfortable. The property is very responsive; all our questions concerning directions to the hotel and making alternate arrangements for breakfast due to an early departure were channeled through Booking.com and answered by the property. Giovanna, who originally checked us in, was pleasant and helpful and gave appropriate directions to the Duomo and a map of the city. Upon being told of our early departure, she said she would prepare a breakfast and leave it in the room. Giulio, the proprietor, was very helpful; he greeted us in the evening upon our return from the Duomo and sightseeing; checked the breakfast preparations and got us a coffee press and yoghurt. He noted that the antiques in the hotel (which he insisted is actually a bed and breakfast) are real. He was genuinely helpful and it was clear that he enjoyed running the establishment and cared about his guests’ comfort and satisfaction. This property has an interesting façade that includes a very deceptive frontage . . . one must look for the small sign that identifies its existence. Furthermore, one must unlock the front door and front gate to enter/exit the property . . . security precautions. Essentially, one feels like one is staying at a private residence.
There were only minor annoyances: - They do not do wake-up calls. - They did not have cream for coffee (“Italians don’t use cream.”) - No English language television. However, none of these are showstoppers. We only wish that we could have stayed longer at this property and luxuriate in its hospitality. When in Milan, stay at La Laconda Del Pino.
They were super helpful with recommendations and even left us with champagne and chocolate on the house as it was our honeymoon.
The host/owner of the hotel was delightful. He was so helpful and you could tell he really took pride in his hotel. Although a little hard to find at first (which is not unusual for Europe) you soon realise that this is an advantage as it not on the street no noise is limited. The breakfast spread was great and served in a lovely dining room. All in all we were quite happy with our stay here.
Only a very minor thing. The wifi does work but we found in our room it only worked in certain areas of the room. This is quite common in a lot of European hotels that are built into old buildings. But once we had a signal it was a strong.
Excellent host, very helpful and warm; comfortable, clean and spacious bedroom with luxurious furniture; good location; continental breakfast is ample. The best B&B I stayed so far!! Highly recommended...
Our host, Giulio, was as accommodating as host as we've encountered. We were making just a quick one-night stop at the end of our vacation before heading home the next day. Giulio was available to us in any way we needed: finalizing our rental car return, recommending good restaurants and making a reservation, checking us out right after arrival so we wouldn't have to do anything the next morning before going to the airport. The B&B itself is beautiful - clean, elegant and very comfortable. Breakfast was splendid. I hope to return here but for a longer stay next time.
Can be a bit noisy, but it is the city, after all. With the windows closed it wasn't an issue.
It was like a little appartment with kitchen, living room, bath- and bedroom. The bath- and bedroom were very large and clean. The personel was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not very large, but has everything you need. The location is absolutely perfect. It is quite, but at the same time very close to centre and shops. Wifi-connection was fast. I'll stay in this hotel again, if I have to go to Milan.
Nothing, this is an excellent hotel!
Great to be able to walk to main attractions. Good variety of bars and restaurants close by.
No real negatives.
Staff were very helpful & friendly Great location
Very welcoming and helpful staff. A pleasant 20 min walk to the cathedral and plaza. An abundance of restaurants outside the door. This is more an upmarket B&B and suited us for a one night stay.
Trying to find the hotel. The sign is minuscule. Look for a large wrought iron gate.
