This Hotel is amazing. The Staff as a whole and Vincenza the Manager go out of their way to ensure that your stay with them is outstanding. The Room we had was great; spacious, with a nice balcony and view. The bed was one of the most comfortable weve had in all our European trips. The location of the hotel is perfect to walk around the village of Maratea, or drive down to the Port or nearby beaches, and of course to travel up and down the coast. The Breakfast was good. We did not eat dinner there, but one day, we missed lunch and were hungry during siesta time and the kitchen, although closed like everything else, made us a special plate of antipasti. Nice. I guess the best indication of how much we like this hotel and Maratea is that we were booked for 2 nights.... And stayed for four!

The staff were very welcoming and looked ater us well. The hotel setting was good with excellent views of the town and surrounding area. The food in the rsteraunt was of excellent quality. The art work in the public areas was quirky and interesting. There were a lot of steps, so would not suit people with poor mobility

A perfect welcome from the engaging, flexible and knowledgable staff. Interesting contemporary artworks complement the age of the unique building. The gym is too small but the pool and bar-restaurant tempted us to spend more time there than we would normally. A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting.

Lovely aspect. Some negotiation required, though many helpful services, parking eg. Very helpful/useful re booking restaurant after we changed our mind several times. We opted for a local restaurant rather than eat in the dining room that looked a bit precious to us. This has more to do with our taste, though.

We felt very welcome. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The sense of staying in an old monastery is not lost through all the modern amenities that the hotel offers. A very worthwhile stay.

We found the staff at La Locanda Delle Donne Monache extremely helpful and friendly. When we arrived at the hotel they quickly unloaded our car and whisked it away to their nearby private car park. We had great views from our room and those from the pool area were particlarly stunning. The pool at the hotel was lovely, and it was easy to spend time there. We also enjoyed a day at their connected beach, la Scala (free except for parking.) The hotel is located high up in the town but it was only a short stroll down to the centre, and there was a good range of restaurants there. Breakfast was pretty good, but became even better when we found out you could order eggs cooked any way you like.

This stunning hotel surpassed any idea of what I had expected. The setting in the little town of Maratea is amazing. The hotel kept yielding more surprising beautiful areas for relaxation at every corner you turned. The fact that it was once a Nunnery in the 715's adds to its charms. The rooms are bright and airy and the entire hotel iis beautifully decorated. The staff was wonderful We enjoyed the pool and the wonderful food. I hope to return here again and again.

The room itself was eccentrically but beautifully decorated with 'frescos' on the walls, and the garden was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was in a brilliant location to access the old town. Breakfast was continental - good and varied, with omlettes etc on offer if you wished. The staff were all pleasant in general but I must say we had a few problems with our check-in and general communication. I by no means would expect an Italian to speak English as a matter of course, but I was distraught after arriving at the hotel following many hours of difficult driving (from Sicily that morning) to have the receptionist indicate to me that she could not find my booking, despite the fact that I had handed her the booking confirmation from Booking.com. Luckily an Italian guest also spoke English and explained to me that the staff member was new and did not know how to check bookings, so I would have to wait for another staff member. I don't think they should have left someone on reception alone if they were unable to undertake this basic task.
