In a 15th-century building on the Grand Canal, Pesaro Palace is next to the Ca' d'Oro water bus stop. It offers Venetian-style rooms with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and flat-screen TV.

Locanda Al Leon is housed in a historic Venetian property from the 15th century. Cross the nearby Bridge of Sighs to get to St. Mark's Square.

Good old fashioned Italian hospitality. We felt like Helena Bonham Carter staying at the Pensione in A Room With A View
We liked the location - walking distance from Piazza San Marco so we could easily afford a good rest before going out again in the evening. The room was comfortable and warm.
We did'nt like moving to another premises for administration and breakfast. We never got the canal view that was promised us.
The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The soap in the bathroom made the whole room smell so nice too!
All the staff were very good. The room we had on 3rd floor was pleasant with no noise from other guests. We had plenty of space in the room and a nice big bathroom. We were upgraded from Locandiera to Verardo because I was using crutches, a big help for me. Thank you!
The pillows were a bit hard. Behind the door, on the wall, was a unit that made a constant low electrical sound all night. I could buffer it with hanging a towel over the door ajar (opened).
- Open Piazza just infront of hotel - Modern and spacious - Breakfast at sister hotel was good - Walking distance to major tourist spots
- inaccessible by taxi. Taxi can only drop you 5 min walk away.
Location, big size room ( as compare to venice) and clean rooms
No A/C in the room.
The location, near Saint Mark's Square and the waterfront, is convenient.
Most aspects of our stay were quite satisfactory. Adding scrambled eggs to the breakfast buffet, would be a great way to enhance the breakfast selections with a source of protein.
I liked the location
Staff was edgy unfriendly. This hotel is associated with another hotel. You go to the other hotel for breakfast. I was 20 minutes early. The desk man told me this. I said I would sit in the lobby and wait. He said no take a walk. The breakfast set up was s balcony overlooking the canal beautiful. The breakfast was two croissant and coffee. No jam no choice. Before I checked in , I was moving from another hotel, I wandered to find the place. When I arrived, I asked if they had a map. He said no. My last hotel gave me a map. I said is there a better way to go. This desk man took my nap and with a pen in exasperation drew a line down my map. Now I could not read my map at all. My room smelled of cheap men's cologn. I opened windows and tried the air. I stayed two days and it never lost that. It was a bit earrie staying at the outpost. The tv did not work.
There was no shower curtain Slippery bath No turn down service Minimum decoration. A bit more would have cost nothing Lack of a second chair in the room Light bulbs not working No bread toaster at breakfast
Concierge staff at the "Mother Hotel" around the corner were super friendly and helpful. Beds comfortable, hot water, air-conditioning (imperative for summer/autumn). Close to Piazza San Marco (also a negative if you don't like crowds and high prices). Very near ferry landing. Breakfast was a short walk and was plentiful. Good security. 25 minute ferry from train station was hellish going and wonderful returning (time of day and size of crowds).
WiFi is monitored with ten-hourly passwords which can be a pain, but grateful for the service. Proximity to San Marco means crowds and higher prices.
The staff were so wonderful and went out of their way to help us. Everything was perfect.
Our room was separate from the main hotel, and the room did not look like those pictures on the website. Breakfast was in a beautiful room. Food was adquate.
The centrality of the location and its tranquility, despite the fact that Castello can be mobbed all the time and that you are a stone's throw from St Marks. The breakfast room and open air terrace were charming, the food and coffee good. The wait staff at the breakfast room are lovely.
Outstanding location in a quiet beautiful street but only a few moments walk to the hussle and bussle of st marks square. The breakfast was excellent, beautiful food and you can sit out on the balcony to eat. The staff helped us find restaurants and recommended us places to eat which was the best food we have ever had. We would def recommend Alfredinos for a quick take away lunch... The pasta is beautiful and it is always super busy. Luna Senteda was unbelievable food - fish was delicious and everything is served so uniquely and it is only around the corner from the hotel.
The safe in the room was too small for all our valuables... That's probably the only negative thing.
the only things that we did not like were the hotel pictures on the website! the Hotel is really better than its pictures! please use an expert photographer!
Right near San Marco. Nice rooms.
No staff at location but hotel literally right around the corner.
Comfortable surroundings in a central locality staffed by polite, helpful, friendly staff. Recommendedeverything
Everything was to our liking. Thank you to all the staff.
Great location, good breakfast, friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again.
You have to walk around the corner to check into a different hotel apparently owned by the same company.
Fantastic convenient location, clean, spacious big room.
Being greeted by a member of staff who showed me where to go to book in and then showed me where my room was.
There was really nothing that I did not like.
Very quiet location, big room, terrace for breakfast and small courtyard for relaxing. Great staff in breakfast room and at reception.
First of all -perfect location, in the center of city, just behind piazza San Marco. Second one- staff was amazing as they proposed help whaterever you need it. Calm hotel- especially you need have a rest after all day walking :-) . Despite the fact that hotel without own reception its not problem at all, because the main building is placed just 100 metres from it. The third one- there is a big advantage of that hotel- its own elevator, because mainly hotels in Venice dont have their own ( especially thats important for old people). To sum up, i think that's a good value for the money!
Smell in that hotel was "not so fresh". I would say it smelled by old stagnante water, even though i guess thats a main problem for Venice hotels :-). I'd rather them found solutions to improve it (fresh spray etc). And breakfast might have been more diverse.
The staff was great. Loved the breakfast (in the partner hotel around the corner) which could be taken inside or out on the balcony. It was pretty quiet but close to the action around San Marco Square.
The bathroom was tiny. The hair dryer a bit odd. I wished there was a way to make coffee/tea in the room but was able to get what I wanted at the bar in the lobby.
Quality accommodation in a great location in terms of proximity to major sights. Breakfast was very good and staff very helpful. We were upgraded from La Locandiera to the main hotel but comments regarding staff, breakfast etc would still apply.
