Domus Mariae has a fantastic location on the island of Ortigia, in the heart of Siracusa. The rooftop terrace offers a beautiful sea view. There is a luxury wellness centre on site.

La Via della Giudecca is a design B&B that takes its name from the Jewish quarter of Siracusa in which it stands. It is set in the main square, Piazza San Filippo, and offers modern rooms with LCD...

The location was great for seeing the Greek and roman ruins.
The walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbors whisper or move. The two twin mattresses pushed together were beyond uncomfortable, even for one night.
Nice room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Free parking.
check -in until 8.00 pm
Perfect service and breakfast
Too strong perfume in the room
The B&B is located on the 3rd floor of a hotel complex which from the outside appears run down but to our surprise the room and bathroom were large clean and well appointed. The staff were very helpful and as we were leaving early arranged a breakfast basket for our room.It is close to the bus stop and the Roman ruins are within walking distance.
Plentiful parking nearby and really good wifi connection were most welcome. Breakfast was standard fare, room was large and comfortable.
Street noise mandated keep it the window shut, but the temperature if the aircon was difficult to regulate, and it was quite noisy.
Good location, convenient free parking.
Rooms are appointed well (bath tub a bonus); between archaeological sites, museum and Ortigia.
Little out of the way if you want ready access to Ortigia nightlife.
Very good location to explore both the Greek theatre and Ortygia. Only few minutes walking distance to everything. Nice and clean room, nice breakfast, good choice and helpful and friendly staff. Would recommend.
We liked everything about the room, the view, the staff, the breakfast. Altogether a very nice place and we are glad that we chose this accommodation to stay in. Good price-quality ratio.
The location is a bit far from the Ortigia Island (20 min walk till the island, and we walked fast). We actually expected it to be closer. But it's not really a problem, because there is also a shuttle bus that can bring you to the center.
Location very nice !!! Family run and they speak all languages. Nice and clean. Breakfast delicious and abundant!!!! Bus stop to go to ortigia in front. I will recommend this place
Everything was great
Very kind owner and his son, very helpful, they answered at all our questions. Very clean, good furniture, great breakfast (very tasty and nourishing). There are a noisy rood in front of the hotel, but we slept very good, the room was quiet.
It's far away from Ortigia (15 minutes walk). It's not so big distance, but when you walk all day...
The family that own the place is very helpful and friendly. Very clean, big rooms, good location.
Amazing staff and room
Good staff Sincere people during the stay Smiling faces Clean rooms and good wifi connection Car parking options close to the hotel (on the street)
We where a little bit early to check in but that was not a problem. Great service, room looks new, breakfast is served in a public area with fresh sweets or savory (you may choose) and is different every day. Good Wifi connection in the room. Just a 5min walk to the archaeologic area and a 25 min walk to ortigia.
Great welcome, and information about the locality! Very helpful reception, for bus & train information. Good English & yummy breakfast!
The walk back up the hill from Ortiga ;)
When we got there, we were simply disappointed by the whole setup and the location. It is in an old apartment building that looks run-down though inside is remodeled. The service of the staff was just okay. It is far from downtown Siracusa where restaurants and shops are.
The staff are very kind and helpful. At first we required an extra bed in the double room, and they offered a triple room. But due to some reason, one of my friend didn't show up. After some communication, they only charged us the price for two. They said that the most important thing is that we are happy! Besides, they offer good breakfast, and are more than happy to provide the delicious local fruit.
The location of this b&b is fantastic, with a view over the magnificent Sanctuary of St Mary, the staff was super friendly and the room with balcony was very clean, modern, stylish and confortable. The breakfast was serves also with sicilian delights at individual preference so all in all I would recommend staying here to everyone.
Not a thing I didn't like.
nice clean room / bathroom polite staff tasty breakfast
locality/entrance to building
However, once inside we could not find fault with the quality of the accommodation and the wonderful service provided by the staff. We had a very warm welcome from Maximilian, who spoke good English and gave us a map and directions to the main sights. Our room was large and airy (with a striking orange glow from the full length curtains!), with a very comfortable bed and a nice, clean bathroom. The room also had a fridge with surprisingly cheap soft drinks (€1.50 each) which were re-stocked every day - this was very useful and convenient on the hot sunny days! Breakfast was served in a cosy room in the heart of the B&B, and it was fantastic - the best we had in Sicily! Our order for the traditional pastry was taken the day before, with a choice of ham & cheese, chocolate or the delicious ricotta, which is a must-have! There was also a choice of teas and coffees, plus yogurts, fruit and a few other Italian delicacies.
The one downside of our stay was that although our room had a balcony which looked out on the odd-shaped spire of the nearby church (Santuario), that meant we were also directly above a busy road junction, with horns tooting incessantly all day from 8am to early evening! Obviously this isn't the hotel's fault (and is fairly typical of driver behaviour in Sicily!) but it does detract a little from the experience - if you're looking for a peaceful stay, unfortunately this B&B may not be for you!
I liked the location of the Bed and breakfast it is within a larger high rise structure. I like the room was comfortable and clean and the reception help is eager to please you and help direct you to anything you need. Connie W. from College Station Texas
I didn't like the parking situation: however, if you park mid-day you can find a suitable spot close enough to walk back to the B&B. I went to Noto one day and when I arrived I ended up going several streets away on a dead end and it was safe enough for the rental car.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating and the rooms are close to Roman and Greek Amphitheatres.
It is a 20 minute walk to Ortigia - the hub of Syracuse. There is some traffic noise as the rooms are close to a busy junction
Good location, you can go almost everywhere by walking.
From the room you can see or buldings so close that you can't see anything else or the noisy street...
Clean comfortable room, friendly welcome, efforts to accomodate me at breakfast (diabetic). There is no perfect location in Siracusa as the archeological sites and Ortyga the old town are about 2 miles apart but the hotel is about in the middle
