Residence Picalè is located right on the beach in Alghero, a 20-minute walk from the harbor and historic center. Each self-catering apartment has a balcony, most with sea view.
Score from 296 reviews Very good
Dated but charming room with two balconies. Wifi and big cooler. The room was the highlight of the hotel...
No glutenfree alt breakfast. Worn down hotel, 70s feeling. Parking garage 10€ per day, down a small very narrow road leading to "garage". For the garage you needed to stop at hotel and get the key on dep and again on arr. One way streets making this a bit of a hassle. The AC oulet overflowing one of the balconies making it a pool. Cleaning never emptied this container. We had to do this ourselves every day, still it was water all over.
Staff, management and owner were so friendly and helpful. Location is truly excellent - a stroll from the old town. Breakfast was good but terrace needs some work - it could be fabulous! The pool and spa were the highlight of this hotel - so nice to relax there after a day of sightseeing.
Room decor is very dated, but hotel style is very 1930s overall. Shower was absolutely TINY.
Good value for the price
Spa, location, breakfast view
Breakfast place is perfect. But food is not so good.
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Pool was nice.
Fantastic hotel my second stay there in the last two years. Staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast on rooftop with breathtaking views. Local central for restaurants, bar, shopping and beach. Wonderful hotel and wonderfully managed - highly recommended.
All the installations are very old and doesn't good work in the bethroom. The breakfast was exactly the same during 5 days:(
The hotel is in a super location, the old city is very close. The rooms are a decent standard. The roof top terrace is beautiful. Breakfast could be of better quality but was still ok. The pool area is small but is still a nice bonus and good for relaxing. Staff were very good and helpful, overall a good value hotel with a good service!
Helpful reception staff
floor coverings could be updated..minor thing
It was an amazing trip. Hotel is really good. Excellent localisation in old city. Just 5 minutes walking to seaside. Sea view from breakfast taras. ..perfect. Cleaning service every day. For that price you can not expect more! Private beach with bar and restaurant. ..I like that idea. 20 min. walking but nice, clean place with amazing service. P.s. Tonino from reception. ..one of the nicest person I've met. :) I recommend that place.
the position in the centre of Alghero
room very simple
Lovely staff and the SPA space was really nice too
Very slow wifi
The old standard. Nice rooftop but it wasn't any high standard and it was dirty. Our room was very small and old! No nice feeling in the hotel
Friendly helpfull staff. Lovely roof terrace at breakfast.
The location was perfect, nothing much else stood out.
Cleaners didn't change bed sheets. Our bed sheets were infested with bed bugs and one day we found drops of blood on our sheets. The WiFi is terrible. The hotel charges extra ad ons for things such as the safe €10, having to buy a dressing gown to avail of the pool €4. Their courier service to the airport cost €30 for a 6 minute drive.
Loved the location, the breakfast, and the very helpful staff.
That the internet was out the whole time I was there.
The location, 5 mins walk to city centre
Wi-fi wasn't working in the rooms; the bed was broken and we had to pack and move the next day as I woke up with pain on my neck and my back; the lift sensor was not working and we almost got stuck in the lift doors; the staff is friendly but speak poor english; the Spa is very expensive 15€ per person to use the steam room and the pool area; the rooms furniture are pretty old; the breakfast is poor; the 1st room was very noisy and the 2nd one had an horrible view; rooms do not have insect screen.
Good location near the old town. Rooms clean but very dated Friendly, helpful staff Lovely roof terrace
Wi-fi very patchy Expensive hotel carpark (15€ a night). No realistic alternative parking
Terrible beds, I did not get 1 minute of sleep during the night. In addition the aircon was not working so I had to leave the balcony door open and got mosquito bitten all over as a result. Hairs on the bathroom floor, didnt feel clean at all
the free wifi, the breakfast on the rooftop, location
smelly room, old and dated decor. gym was non-existent
Location was good. Staff excellent.
Oldfashioned room with small, too old bathroom.
The location was absolutely amazing. Small swimming pool was nice and new with relaxing music. Felt quite cosy .
Absolutely horrible bedding not comfortable at all it felt like a window curtain.,one cover was made of 5 different blankets. Cleanliness not just in the room. 4 days having breakfast at the same table with same dirty table cover . Inside the spa was a few plastic covers and some other things also not cleaned for our entire stay Not major cleanliness issue but visible all over . Another thing , we did not feel safe as some old man twice during our stay went to our room without even knocking and when saw we were there then left . Not even apology.
The location is perfect. Near to all great restaurants, shops and old town of Alghero. Regular beach is about 15 minute walk, but great to get use of private beach which hotel has agreement with owners to use. This is 5 min taxi ride.
Breakfast finishes too early at 10am. Staff literally start taking away items at exactly this time. We had a room to the front of the hotel which was quite noisey at night.
We wanted a hotel close to the historical centre as we had only 1 night in Alghero. Hotel Margherita was a success in that respect. The view to the sea from our room on the 4th floor was very nice and the view from the breakfast terrace on the 5th floor was fabulous
The hotel is very worn down and seems to lack a proper management. The flowers in the flower stand outside our balcony were all dead and so most of the flowers and plants on the roof terrace. The roof terrace and the chairs here were dirty. Our room was very small, but our friends next door had a bigger room. Bathroom was very small and rather outdated. We would not recommend this hotel
