Hotel La Margherita  

When we arrived at the hotel there did not seem to be a room booked in our name,which made us worry,but the staff were very helpful and found us a room immediately which,as it turned out to be,was just what we had requested,so we don't know who the problem was with, the hotel or Bookings.com.Our room was clean and comfortable although the decor could have been freshened up a bit.The view from our room was lovely and the breakfast was excellent.The reception area was quite dated but this was part of the charm of a typical Italian building. The location was perfect to the old town and the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. I would recommend this hotel.

The pool and Spa area were great apart from could not get Turkish Sauna working properly Salt cave too much out side music for relaxing. The bed Mattress was horrible. The breakfast on the roof was great a lovely view and a fabulous start to the day. Having a Sea View was a bonus but 20€ extra and worth it to watch the sun go down each day. So close to wander the streets a pleasure although food and drink in bars etc were more expensive than they really needed to be in my oppinion. A good Hotel friendly staff always helpful I would recommend this Hotel it's position was great.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel La Margherita as the location to Old Town was excellent, It had a rooftop sun terrace and and a beautiful rooftop breakfast terrace where the view was fab, the breakfast was decent enough as continental breakfasts go, the staff were extremely informative and helpful and my room was spotless clean, the fridge in the room was great to have as you can bring a travel kettle and put your drinks in it to cool, the air con was a blessing as it was so hot during the day and night, i didnt use the downstairs indoor pool but i had a look and it was very nice, the free area advertised for the beach is a good 15 min walk away in front of the san marco hotel but its a nice walk along the promenade. you will need your mosi plugs as theres quiet alot of mosi's around at night, they have shutters but it doesnt keep them out

The only things i did'nt like abou the hotel was that the hairdryer hose was torn so i could'nt use it in room 130 and there was only one channel on the tv and it was italian, the Bday had a crack in it so there was a few things that needed fixing but however i still enjoyed my stay there and the nice location and friendly staff made up for any small things that were wrong in the room

The breakfast at the terrass was very nice! And the seaview from our balcony was beautiful. The staff was very helpful at all times.

The hotel was in a good location for access to restaurants, bars and shops of the old town. It was about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the beach. It was an enjoyable walk along the promenade. The accommodation was very basic although spotlessly clean. The staff at reception were helpful and friendly. The same cannot be said for those at breakfast. Breakfast was served on the fifth floor terrace with spectacular views of the coast however be warned you need to be up early for fresh croissants!!!

The rooms were very basic and not particularly comfortable. Breakfast was poor.

Nice staff, nice spa, pretty view from the breakfast terrace. Great location if you're a city crawler, not so convenient for beach people (I strongly recomment renting a bicycle - buses come rarely). Very close to supermarket.

Walls were a bit too thin (noise from other floors), the room service changes towels too often (not really an environmentally friendly hotel).

Great location and met all our needs. Breakfast bar provided good choices and food was fresh. Staff was friendly and able to answer all our questions. Room clean and well maintained. Had elevator up to our room.

Parking was difficult and we had to drive around to find a parking space, then had to look for the parking attendant to pay. Primary reason for choosing this hotel was the roof-top terrace, then it was closed for the season. Short hours for the spa (closed at 2100). If we are out walking all day, it would have been nice to relax in the spa later. Street noise was disturbing, mostly because of a bar close to the hotel.

I loved Hotel La Margherita. It was lovely. Although the decor is a bit old fashioned the rooms were large with nice bathroom and extremely clean. The room also had a large balcony with a view of the sea, and a fridge in the room which was very useful. The breakfast terrace was lovely with amazing views of the sea, and offered a lovely self service buffet breakfast with something to suit everyone. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There is a leisure centre in the basement with lovely relaxing lighting and a lovely warm pool / jacuzzi. We also tried the salt cave in the salon which really was beneficial at a great price too. I would recommend this hotel as it is only 5 minute walk to the harbour. A great location and I would definintely return to this hotel in the future.

Perfect location for strolling along the seaside or to visit Alghora city centre.

The coffemachine at breakfast was terribly slow. Any other option would be an improvement.

Location was excellent close to shops,bars, restaurants.

For price and location, it could not be better.

The charming man at the reception and the breakfast with seaside view were the best! Also it was very easy to go into the Alghero city centre and to connect to other villages by car.

For Italian standards it was not bad, but the shower was leaking (there was warm water), the rooms were noisy and the hotel parking was an adventure steep down hill.
