Friendliness of staff, cleanliness of rooms, very nicely decorated, situated in a central street close to plenty of restaurants and interesting places. Molto simpatico... There was nothing that I didn't like.

Couldn't find a better location in Rome! Big clean rooms, friendly staff, good price. Taxi from airport was booked for us in advance. Had umbrellas for us to use when it was raining. Breakfast was at cafe next door and was fantastic. Rooms are on the fourth floor of a building with other residental apartments. If someone didn't close the doors it was stuck on a certain floor. Also, the elevator is very small and we couldn't fit all our bags and two people.

I travel in Italy a lot, work and have a home there. This hotel had millionaire service and an economy price. The hotel was immaculate. The staff was incredibly hospitable and informative and accommodating. The beds were fantastic - I shared a two twin room - I need a support mattress and this mattress was superb. I slept quite well. The location could not be any more perfect. Piazza Navona is my most favorite location in the city. Close to Vatican and all other sights. I will stay here again and tell everyone I know to do the same. When there are so many choices in Roma it is hard to know where to stay. This is the best value hands down and the rooms were clean and nicely appointed. The facility was excellently maintained. I am very happy to have found this treasure in the city. I did not like the transpire driver that picked us up that morning to go to the airport. He would not give us time to drink our coffee and he was the early one. It was a holiday there was no traffic. He needs to take a lesson from the staff at La Mongolfiera on courtesy.

The location is perfect to visit Rome. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and they keep our luggage after the checkout. The street is noisy in the night.

The cleanliness of the place was a pleasant surprise! The staff were very pleasant also. The location was right in the center of the city, easy to reach the bus stops/ walk to monuments, etc. The alley where it's located is not well known, and difficult to find (even by the local taxi drivers). Our taxi driver finally made us get off on another alley, and we ended up walking up and down the tiny alleys over 1/2 hr. Also, they need to make their sign bigger and more noticeable!

The room is very nice, the bathroom also, very clean and all very new. Quiet room even with a street view. The localization is awesome! We did everything by foot, there are nice restaurants close to the hotel, just 2 blocks from Piazza Navona and close to all principal attractions in Rome! We had a great time at La Mongolfiera. Thanks Eugenio e Elena!

The best thing with this hotel was the location, in the middle of a lovely area and close to "all" attractions in Rome. Very easy to find since its 40 meters from a big square called Piazza Navona. The staff was very helpful and kind in all ways. They let us leave our things both before our check-in and after our check-out. They were providing alot of information about what to see, how to get there and always with a smile. For me as a Swede the breakfast was a little bit small but for my Spanish girl more than enough. But I guess you have to acclimatize to the culture of the country you are in :) The only problem I had was with communication since I dont speak Italian. But in this case it was not a big issue since my girlfriend speaks Italian but also because we didnt spend much time in the hotel. But for visitors that only speak English I can imagine it gets a little bit tricky.

We stayed four comfortable nights at La Mongolfiera Rooms. Eugenio, the owner, was very helpful thoughout our stay, giving us directions around the city and hunting down wine glasses for us when we brought home a bottle of prosecco. Our room (404) was spacious and clean, with a large remodeled bathroom. The room's window faced an alley, so while there was no view, it was miraculously quiet despite being in a busy part of town. The hotel is located right next to the Piazza Navona, and is a 20 minute walk (or less) to most of the major attractions of Rome. For the price, this place is tough to beat.

Newly refurbished in a perfect location. Great restaurant on your doorstep and short ealking distance to all sights. "Italien breakfast" included at downstairs café. Includes choiche of coffee and croissant. At too sweet and not enough breakfast for me. Luckily the café 2meters to the tight serves excellent breakfast - problem solved :)

Location is very nice! We can walk to all famous places. The hotel staff(owner) doesn't help carrying suitcase. He is very kind and helpful at check-in. But when the check-out, he is not kind. After check-out,we receive my suitcase,he takes out my suitcase outside(in apartment). And he did't help carry it to elevator. Nearest elevator from hotel exit has half floor steps(about 20 steps). We are 2 ladys (1 person has a low backe pain and he know that!),but he doesn't help us!! I don't recomend big room .Becouse I can see the navona square in the room, but very very little and not big!( I stay 2 type room). It's very noisy in the startday night untill 2:00 am.

Rooms were clean The Proprietor was very rude. He needs to come to England to see how we look after our guests. When we arrived we pressed the entryphone button and the door opened and we had to find our way to the fourth floor where he was waiting for us. We had to pay when we arrived and he gave us a receipt for the rooms but would not give us a receipt for the tax which we had to pay in cash although he had written on the receipt that the room charge included it. Breakfast was a coffee and croissant in the bar round the corner. When we left our room we asked if we could leave our case with our relatives in the other room we paid for and he said no and we had to leave it in the main hallway. When we came back to collect our case with our relatives he would not allow us in to our relatives room to go to the toilet but said go in the bar on the street. Our 2 rooms were next to each other and when we opened our doors he was sitting there by his reception desk watching who was coming out/going in to the rooms. It took us a long time to find the rooms as they were in a back street like in Amsterdam and next to bars and the door was just by all the people drinking at the bars.As soon as we arrived at 9pm he was telling us we had to check out at 10 and breakfast was till 9.30am. Overall we paid for 7 nights here.

The location is perfect, walking distance from most of tourist locations. The street is busy, in the very downtown of Rome. Building is very old like all of them at the area but rooms, bathrooms are brand new, and very clean. Personnel is friendly.

Owners can't speak any English which was disappointing, fee of 5 euro per towel washing as extra on room charge is insulting as when we came back to room owner had thrown our towels on floor then telling of extra towel charges. Also no iron in hotel..... In Italy??

The location is perfect-5 minutes from Navona square, 15-20 minutes walking distance from the most important places of interest. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean - everything is almost new and very well maintained; air-condition for cold and warm weather is available.

Fantastic Location (but expect some noise late at night as you are in the middle of one of the the best areas) and easily the best value for money I could find for the location. Rooms clean and not as small as others suggest. Would definitely recommend to anyone I wouldnt trust the lift again - Got stuck once and walked after - that but you need to be fit as its on the 5th Flr.
