Hotel was comfortable with lovely decor. Our room was spacious & had a superb lakeside/mountain view. Outside area was beautifully maintained and the hotel is in a very attractive spot.The position was great for walking to nearby shops or catch a boat.Reception staff were friendly & helpful. A very enjoyable stay. The restaurant was expensive with no reduction for children or suitable menu for a 10 year old. Breakfast was the same every day. The restaurant staff were particularly miserable & unhelpful! |

The people in this hotel were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms are pleasant, roomy, and comfortable. The dining was very good and fairly priced. This was my first stay in this hotel, and I hope it is not my last. It compares favorably with the other hotels I have stayed in in Stresa. |

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the La Palma. The only downside was that they had turned off the air conditioning in the whole hotel just the week before and we would like to have had that as the streets below get quite noisy in the am. Otherwise, it is a beautiful hotel, very centrally loated to all activities. The breakfast was very nice and staff as well. |

Room was spacious, clean, and had a balcony with very nice lake and mountain view. Everything was within easy walking distance, and the hotel has a complimentary parking lot. Parking lot was not lighted at night, and was very dark. We had an early morning departure, and it was very unsettling to find the car in complete darkness. The lot had a gate that we had to move ourselves. |

The mountain and lake views from our room were amazing and the hotel location was great...on the waterfront, easy walk to town and the ferry, about 1/4 mile to the train station. The hotel itself was elegant and clean. The breakfast buffet was very nice with many choices, and we loved that staff could drop open the windows onto the beautiful lawn in front of the hotel. Amenities like balconies on the rooms, a roofside terrace, a jacuzzi, and a great pool across the street next to the lake all added to the positive experience. Staff were consistently efficient in taking care of needs. Not quite as sound-proofed as I would like for a hotel of this class...could hear toilet flushing in next room. The hotel desk staff were kind and helpful but not particularly friendly/approachable (there is a difference in my view). Still, this would not keep me from coming back as the overall experience was very good and the hotel offered many amenities. |

Very friendly staff, good breakfast, nice & big room with balcony (had room with lake side view, free upgrade!). Room included also a really nice jacuzzi bathtub! Easy access with baby strollers. Car parking easy and free. Hotel is located next to Stresa town center with many restaurants. |
