Wonderful location, very friendly staff, Caterina is amazing person. I was given all information about what to see, about events or other my requests. Breakfast was also very good.
The only one minus - it was noisy at night time.
Location was central. Great Staff (Caterina). She packed us breakfast we could take with us early in the morning. Clean rooms and good size for 4 adults. Comfortable beds.
Could do with new pillows.
Very kind and attentive management/staff.
This place is perfect. Situated city centre and everything is walking distance plus there is a bus stop outside that takes you to the Vatican and train terminal with 15 minutes. Highly recommend and the staff where so friendly
Very friendly and great location
We liked everything about La Papessa. First, it is located in the center of Rome less than five minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. You can walk easely to all of Rome's attraction. The room are big, beautiful and really quiet which is amazing considering that you are in the center of Rome. The breakfast is really good. And finally and not the least the owner Catarina and her assistant are really nice and will give you many good advice to visit Rome. They even recommend us a fantastik restaurant. It was a real pleasure to stay there and we would recommend it to everybody,
Nothing, the place was perfect!
I stayed with my family in La Papessa. I would highly recommend the hotel. The hotel has got excellent location(very central to everything, able to walk to all the touristic attractions). There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel you can easily go to Termini station with the number 85 bus. Marcella, the manager was amazing, so helpful and friendly. She gave us a warm welcome and helpful to eveything(she gave us a map of Rome on arrival and explained us how to get to all touristic places). We will stay in La Papessa when we are in Rome again.
My husband and I stayed in La Papessa with our elderly mothers and we would definitly recommend it! Excellent location clean comfortable rooms our room was quiet with no street noise which is very unusual in Rome! The staff are friendly and helpful booking excursions, taxis and checking opening times etc for us! Would stay here again without doubt!
Minor point the tables and chairs for breakfast are not very comfortable.
Location was fabulous, very central to everything. Staff very friendly, welcoming & helpful
Nothing really. It was an all round good experience
This was our second stay at La Papessa. Fantastic staff--Marcella and Catarina felt like family. Very quiet and lovingly decorated. Great location--close to many famous sites in Rome: Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Marcella, the manager, was exceedingly accommodating and a gracious concierge. The location is perfect for easy access to all major historical sites. Overall tremendous value.
Marcella was super helpful, with directions and meeting us off hours, maps, and anything we needed. Room was comfortable, with AC, small fridge, water boiler for tea. Bathroom was new, super clean, and small but complete! Although the desk is not constantly manned, with code and keys we could come and go as we pleased, and there were umbrellas when it rained. And staff was available by phone to answer questions. Thanks Marcella!
The one quibble is the stairs, half a flight up from the street to the elevator, then half a floor up or down from the elevator to the entrance.
The Hotel was a very nice hotel very homely and coasy. The staff was very nice and service minded serving a nice breakfast being ready to help when needed. The absolute upside is the very central location on the Corsy easily reachnig the Pantheon or Navona or the area of Trastevera just to mention a few of the many places to see in Rome
The 3 rooms facing the Corso are very noicy especially when you sleep with an open window. The 4th room not facing the Corso is less noisy but you have the noice from the air condition and the smell from a kitchen.
The location could not have been better. Maricella and Katerina were so accommodating. They even made sure there were gluten free breakfast options for 2 ladies in our group. The room was comfortable and quiet even though we were in a busy area of Rome.
The staff was amazing and very helpful booking tours and orienting us to Rome. Couldn't have been more sweet to our son as well!! Overall, wonderful and excellent.
Only negative is the hotel rooms face a busy street so there was a little extra noise. I had to sleep with ear plugs, but my husband and parents were fine!
Great central position, close to all historic sites. Catherine was a great, both with care and her helpfulness in showing us places to go.
A bit hard to find, although we were notified by e-mail which helped. Main road position could be a bit noisy for some but didn't bother us. It went quitter if windows were kept closed.
The staff at La Papessa was wonderful! They were so helpful and had great tips and suggestions. They also set up transportation for us to get to the airport (which cost $ but cheaper than taxi). Also a centrally located place to stay. We would definitely stay at La Papessa if we ever returned to Rome!
The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room was good size for family and upgraded up for a big room with little fee. Great location and we love to come back again
missed a relaxchair
superb location Marcella couldn't do enough for you nice room and facilities
Road noise, really disturbing since the room was on the main road
Staff!! so kind and willing to provide tour information, gave us warm welcome!
The staff are knowledgeable, informative and generous with their time. Highly recommend as it is very convenient location to all the tourist attractions in Rome. This was my second stay at La Papessa.
Location, homely atmosphere and friendly staff
Lack of view but given the positives, that is being picky
Excellent service - the staff were unfailingly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room were very attractively furnished, with tea making facilities in the room. The B&B was quiet. Clean. Very centrally located - perfect location in fact.
The hot water was more midly warm than hot over the course of our stay. The Wi-Fi worked only intermittently, and was quite a low bandwith.
Cosy place, personalized service. We felt at home!
