Only two negatives, firstly, the wifi coverage was a bit hit and miss. My friend could only get online in the breakfast room and I had very intermittent connection on our room. The local restaurants usually had wifi though, so it wasn't a huge problem for a short stay. Secondly, the air conditioning wasn't very effective. Our trip was in April so the temperature was bearable, but not sure it would have been particularly comfortable in the middle of summer.
My friend and I stayed at Hotel La Paul for 2 nights and wanted somewhere as a convenient base to explore. The location was fantastic, just a 10 minute walk to the old town. The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived to find a double bed, but they were very quick to turn it to a twin room very no inconvenience to us. The room with the view of the lake was definitely worth paying a few extra pounds for and was equipped with a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The room was plenty big enough to two messy girls and was clean. The bed was a little hard for me, but my friend loved hers! The bathroom was spacious and clean with plenty of hot water and decent water pressure. There was a good choice of food at breakfast including a chef who cooked your eggs/omelette in front of you to order. We would have loved to have stayed for longer.
