The location is great, a short walk to Bellagio, though there are some steep steps to climb (218 according to my son).

The staff are uninterested/unfriendly and rude. It Seems like it is a family run business but every single one of them had the same unwelcoming attitude, makes you wonder why they are in the hospitality business. Apart from the location would not recommended this place to anyone.

Away from the tourist crowd in Bellagio. Marta at reception delightful and helpful. Interior and terrace restaurant offer different but delightful dining experiences.

Excellent service, warm and welcoming and very helpful. Definitely "A Room with a View"! Loved the hotel and the locality. Breakfast outside by the water in the morning was delightful.

The food at dinner was a little bland and average.

Hotel is on the waterfront, with easy access to swim. 5 minute walk from Bellagio. Very good restaurant and beautiful setting. Hotel manager was super helpful when our rental car was towed away. He spent over 20 minutes on the phone locating the car and then drove my husband to collect it ! I look forward to my next visit to the La Pergola.

The room, the view, the location as close to the water as possible, the calm and quiet location, overall a very nice hotel and well worth the price

The staff could have been a little bit more interested, but were OK

The location right at the seaside of Lake Como, the buildning, the surroundings! The hotel has amazing views if you stay in a room with seaview, The pergola with restaurant/bar and the croissants at breakfast!

I really wish that the staff of this hotel would be a little bit more happy, we tried to get them smile every day..but with little luck. when we ask something it seemed very difficult or they seemed bothered (maybe due to language since we only speak english) and they didn´t seem happy to have guests which is a shame becuase they have a fantastic business which would be even better if they just were a slightly bit more serviceminded:) They are very proffesional in what they do though! Thanks! Arrivederci:)

    1. Excellent location, next to the lake. 2. Amazing view of lake Como. 3. 10 minutes walk through some stairs to the Bellagio village. 4. Nice building with old furniture and beautiful paintings.

    1. The room wasn't clean enough. Especially the bathroom. Unacceptable from such a hotel. 2. The staff/owners are nice but they have some rules such as: you have to leave the keys in the reception otherwise you may locked out... 3. I can't accept the cover charge that Italians have on their restaurants (when in other countries bread and water are served for free) and starts from 1 euro up to 6 euro per person. It the hotel's restaurant is 3 euro per person.

Absolutely amazing views, large room, traditional building with real character. The restaurant meal was delicious, and such a gorgeous setting to eat out on the terrace by the lake. Not far to walk to Bellagio, a good few steps up and over the hill or around the roads. Lovely.

Emailing before hand to ask about parking and to book a table with no reply in three days - we advise to ring as the staff are lovely!! Turning up when there was a full car park meant that we had to keep an eye out for a space in the first few hours - not as relaxing start as we wanted :(

Fantastic location! Very peaceful and beautiful. Waking up and opening the windows is one of my most memorable and perfect moments of my holiday. Good restaurant. Simple but charming rooms.

The family that runs the hotel seem to be utterly bored by their job. Rarely a smile on anyone's faces and a generally sour attitude. A shame since everything else is perfect.

The rooms were large and had lovely antique furniture. The vine covered terrace, right beside the lake was so picturesque. A lovely setting for breakfast. The location was very peaceful. Highly recommended.

The walk into central Bellagio takes about 10 minutes but is quite steep with hundreds of steps.

Loved the amazing waterfront location. Right on the waters edge of Lake Como. Quiet. Peaceful with most outstanding views of alps and lake. It is a ten minute walk up steps to village. The steps are meandering through little picturesque paths which makes it a pleasant experience. After dinner at night it's mostly downhill, but take your phone with torch. Staff were very polite and accommodating.

For such a picture perfect place it is a shame the breakfast was poor quality. It was a bad example of the food they served therefore we decided not to eat at the restaurant that night.

The balcony opened directly onto the lake and beautiful view. The hotel were very friendly to my dog and made us both feel welcome. The staff could all speak English too

Excellent hotel and restaurant located at the east lake side of the Bellagio so less busy and touristic, and the nice and busy Bellagio village was easy to reach walking to the west side thru a walking path. We had room 4 on the first floor which was spacious with its own balcony/terrace with a great lake view. Seeing the sun rise from your room (even from your bed pillow) through the pergola at around eight in the morning is very nice. We stayed two nights and used (based on the first evening experience and the other restaurant offerings in Bellagio) two times dinner at the restaurant which was worth it: a simple menu card but what they served was genuine Italian food (do not take non-local or mixed versions) and great. The hotel is located at a dead end street so quiet, even the neighbourhood. Recap: great place to stay and I would come back again next time

The people serving could have been nicer: its difficult to get a smile, or even a look when you say good morning during breakfast or good evening at the start of the dinner: use the Italian language and forcing a smile helps: the next time they were more friendly. Breakfast was minimum (sweat stuff only and very limited) but I found that this is similar in these level of hotels but the cappuccino is a must and very good. Better to take in a local restaurant like in the Bellagio village

Situated beautifully on Lake Como, nice walk into Bellagio. Attractive, small facility.

Unfortunately, the staff seemed unattentive and uniformly unfriendly. We had no idea why they demonstrated such a neutral to negative attitude whether it be the desk clerk, the bartender, or the others in the small wait staff. My wife and I are very frequent travellers and respect and enjoy the feeling and value of encountering friendly folks where ever we may travel. We can't recommend such negative behavior, especially in this business. Too bad, for sure.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting right on the edge of lake como, as is there restaurant. The hotel is very old but has bundles of character , clean, & charming. our room was clean but very small , beautiful lake view. Food good but not Amazing in restaurant. Breakfast poor. Staff very surly, not a smile between them!! That was the big difference to the rest of Bellagio where every one else in shops, restaurants so friendly.

Location with view of lake was very special. The room was large and airy and the bed was quite comfortable.we had room 4... Best view I think.

The staff were arrogant, particularly the reception manager the day we arrived. He barely had the decency to speak to us. He was not rude but totally unfriendly. He sat and watched as I struggled with by bag up the stairs. There was no information pack in the room... No maps or pen and paper.. No tissues in bathroom or toiletries other than soap and a sachet of hair shampoo.. Breakfast was average... Juice was watered down and tasteless and the Musli had chocolate chips in it!!! But the setting by the lake in the sun was great. We enjoyed our stay despite the faults... You are paying for the view but get No frills.

    Nothing

This establishment should just be used for people who enjoy rude atmosphere, high prices, and conversating with awful hotel staff who don't care about they're customers. Would have likes it better if this establishment was burned to the ground. Doesn't fit the requirements yet. Don't stay here

The location and room were fabulous.

As mentioned in other reviews the staff could have been more friendly on the last day a taxi was unavailable to take us and our bags over the hill to Bellagio so we ended up dragging our suitcase ourselves. There was no attempt or even interest from staff to even help us solve this problem
