We had a lovely time at La Petite Maison - the fanily have recently refurbished the hotel and its been done to an excellent standard. We saw a few rooms and they are all different with a distinct french influence. The family are brilliant hosts. Breakfast is very good with loads to choose from! Location is fab - 5 mins from station and 10 mins to beach & restaurants. Very quiet location. We would stay here again!

Family run boutique type hotel. Very friendly and 'Tiffany' is a great room with a private balcony. 5 minute walk to beach and shops. Close to rail station for trips to Pisa etc. Will definitely use again if in the area.

The family who run the hotel are friendly, welcoming and can't do enough to help. We were given guidance and help with booking local attractions. The hotel is beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Breakfasts are delicious, particularly if you have a sweet tooth, with a range of tempting pastries and tarts on offer. Being a very short walk from the beach (which is mostly private - approx 20 euro for two chairs and an umbrella for the whole day. There is a public beach but it is small and isn't kept clean and tidy. ) and the train station (5 mins walk. Trains are cheap and pretty efficient. It costs about 2.5 euro each to get to Pisa), the hotel is in the perfect location if you are spending the day in Viareggio, or fancy getting the train to sightsee in nearby Florence, Lucca, Pietra Santa, Torre de Lago, Siena or Pisa.

a certain 19th century elegance the price was exorbitant for what was being offered. The room was way too small for two people. Also, the breafast was really stingy.

The staff were really friendly and pleasant. The breakfast that was provided was delicious- a large variety of tasty pastries that differed from day to day. We were allowed access to the computer and printer free of charge. Our room was cleaned daily. Free air con. Tv with mostly Italian channels but occasionally English. Nice location. Easy to reach both the beach and the train station. The area was good too as there were plenty of restraunts and shops. Not crammed with tourists but there was everything you could want there. Close to both Pisa and Florence where you can get frequent direct trains to. I would definitely recommend both Viareggio and La Petite Maison. I liked everything about it.

A lovely little hotel, run by a lovely Italian family. We had a balcony facing a brick wall. This was one of the budget rooms. If we would have known, we would have upgraded (if possible)

The location was good, just between the railway station and the beach. The breakfast was good enough and diverse. The Stefanny room is romantic, but very small, no more than 10 m and it is very uncomfortable for a long stay. The bathroom is difficult to use -there was no space to have a shower and it was really a challenge to take it.Probably if you choose a room at a higher rate , you may expect better comfort.

The owners were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The hotel was very well situated half way between the railway station and the sea front and was close to a very charming and interesting market. The town was bustling without being too busy and it was a perfect short break
