private terrace under pine trees parking possibility
a little bit too dirty / dusty very small room no view to Erice nor to the see
The room had a wonderfull view over the valleys that surround Erice. Nice balcony. Wonderfull breakfast and very friend team. Priceless place to park the car and discover the village.
Not suggested to people who don't interact well with nature.
Very good parking spaces and nice views all around. Comfortable rooms, and only a few mins walk from Erice's beautiful historical centre. Staff were also helpful and friendly.
Some further attention to maintenance requirements would make the hotel even better, we had a few things in our room especially in the bathroom which required attention.
Very nice hotel and very friendly staff. Big advantage: car parking place.
In the morning I found a small scorpio sleeping on my jeans. Do not want to blaim the hotel, but please be carefull...
The location is very convenient and the fact that there is on site parking is also very convenient. The views are spectacular.
There were A LOT of bugs in our room - spiders, ants, etc. I would not stay here again. Hotel staff was unable to give us much information about things to do in town.
I liked the setting - very quiet (off season) and set among trees. Nice and spacious room. Breakfast was good and adequate. Close to the centre and good parking.
- Very dirty and small shower cubicle with mould. I was disgusted to use the bathroom as there was a constant bad smell from the toilet. I complained to the receptionist who seemed to be the only person working in the hotel apart from another person who prepared our coffee in the morning. She said that she would see to it and didn;t. thnk goodness we were only there for 2 nights because I would have moved out. the rooms are accessed by stairs so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. I asked for a room closer to the road and was refused although the place was empty.
Position good for visiting Erice
A bit too basic
Good location on the edge of town with plentiful parking which is a premium in Erice. The room was clean, spacious and atmospheric in an individual building. Breakfast in the restaurant was good with plenty of choice.
Perfect position and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were clean and warm. It was a great price
The facility although in a perfect position with great views over the valley needs a major facelift. Everything is quite dated. Needs an interior decorator to give them some advice. It has potential to be a five star hotel.
Great place, beautiful town, nature, views, restaurants, people.. Rooms are nice and clean, breakfast great.
Very nice view Great breakfast Very nice treatment, especially considering that it was off season
The room was a little cold when we arrived
The overall look of the place was very cool. Being on top of the mountain was also really cool.
Driving up the road that our GPS took us was a little crazy. You definitely want to make sure you are in a small car as the road is very windy, narrow and on the side of a cliff. The rooms were not dirty but didn't feel clean. There was moss growing all over the steps which made it a bit slippery. The place definitely looked much nicer in the pictures than it did in person however it was still really a cool place. A good owner and a little money could make this an amazing place. Also I reserved two family rooms that showed available on bookings but once there 20 minutes later no such rooms existed but I still was charged the same price.
Location. Beautiful views. owes
Cold room Windy
Excellent position for views and exploring Erice.
Helpful reception staff; spectacular views; excellent location.
Excellent location. Beautiful views. Parking. Erice is wonderful.
Rooms need refurbishment.
Perfect place to enjoy the Erice city and castles beautiful views and your very own little villa :)
the breakfast has gotten worse since we have visited last time, only crossaints and cereal with coffee before it was much better, I told the front desk about it and hopefully they will change!
All rooms were quite private, because each of them was separated from another. We felt like in our private small house. The room was decorated in a simple countryside style. If you are cold it is possible to switch on hitting in the room . There was very calm at night; we didn't hear any noise here. We enjoyed great view through the window in the early morning and from the terrace during the day. We liked the yard, there were great pines everywhere. For breakfast we got not only cafe &cruasans , but and apples, pears, jam, bread, juice, cheese, ham. Cruasans were especially perfect. The city centre was easily reachable on foot.
Every time when we needed a receptionist we should looking for her by ourselves. The shower cabin was such a narrow, that my husband couldn't lean without opening cabin’s doors .
Great location, spectacular views, good breakfast.
The view was excellent as was the location. The pillows were extremely comfortable.
At the breakfast you had to ask for things which had finished. There was not always someone at reception. It would have been nice if you had a tea/coffee maker in the rooms
Location, ease of finding, room&terrace, Carlo, the front desk guy.
location and view price
No wifi Was a bit cold but the heater did not work.
In lovely town of Erice. Good place from which to drive to Segesta.
A little too rustic for my taste. Very uninviting shower. Literally just slept & left as quickly as possible. Driving to this location was a little scary. Had difficulty making turns on tiny streets.
Location is quiet and the pine trees are very nice. Short walk from centro and shops/market. Nice staff and good breakfast.
For the money we paid for the room, I expected a "nicer" place. Seemed bare-bones with minimal amenities.
We were driving, and loved the Pineta's parking area and ease of access relative to other hotels in medieval Erice, which has very narrow streets. We love the "village" feeling of the property, its views, and the terraces attached to our rooms. The food at its restaurant is quite good. Overall, the value is good - it is reasonable, and a very pretty spot. We'd probably stay there again, even though it is not very well run.
This is not a well-managed property. The owners seem to be absent, and many things are falling through the cracks. The reception staff are nice, but not knowledgeable about the area. Housekeeping is spotty (we were missing pillow cases and the beds are rock-hard). There's a lovely terrace, but they weren't serving drinks or food out there, even though we stayed in early September and it was still a busy tourist season. The rooms are small - that's OK, but so sparsely furnished! No luggage racks, no desk in our room, etc. But the terraces are lovely.
