i was pleasantly surprised that the hotel was better than i expected. the room was spacious & the bathroom was new. great shower. the pool & area around it was very nice. there are no screen on the doors to the balcony & a bunch of mosquitos wound up coming into our room. the bed & pillows were both hard. between the 2 it was the worst night of sleep in my life. |

La Playa is a lovely little family run hotel that sits one street behind the beach along the Lido which runs out of Alghero. It is a small place, friendly and with a nice pool. Very clean rooms, and good food - very nice mix at breakfast and then good, reasonably priced meals in the evening if you chose to eat in. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel is around 15 minutes walk into the main centre of Alghero. However, the walk is along the sea front and very pleasant/enjoyable. |

The location was great for visiting the beach. No internet. Poolside crowded. Our room had a balcony but it looked straight into a palm tree. Specify that you want a room on a high floor in order to get some sunshine on your balcony. |

Lovely pool area and helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast was very good, and we wished we had had dinner there too, would have been better than a tourist trap in the old town. Room was very basic. No mini-bar. The hotel did not accept amex and I had to eamil directly with another card details. |

Excellent helpful and friendly staff. Superb quality meals and service in Restaurant. Would definitely stay again. Bedroom furnishing basic but comfortable. Poor toilet flush system. Breakfast had only scrambled egg / omlette as hot option could do with bacon, sausage, tomato etc in addition |

We really enjoyed our stay. We were travelling with a 15 mth old and the hotel was really helpful in making our stay as comfortable as possible. The pool is lovely and the food at the restaurant is really good. Overall a great hotel and definitely better than the 3 stars it has. |

I liked the staff, i felt they were very helpful and friendly, the pool area was lovely, there was always a sunbed and the water was very clean, the restaraunt next to the pool in the evening was a beautiful place to have a meal. |

I stayed there for a 5 days summer holiday. It is an amazing hotel-very friendly staff, very delicious food with reasonable price, 3mins walking to the beach and 15mins to old town center, and clean room and in-time service. Btw, very nice swimming pool If they can provide Wi-Fi, it will be perfect |

It was very good value for money, the rooms and all other facilities were in very good condition and very clean. The hotel was also very secure, with the use of a safety deposit box also available. The hotel was a brisk 15 minute walk into the centre of Alghero city, where all the restaurants and bars where. This was fine for us but might not suit all travellers. Also we ate twice in the hotel for lunch and when we didn't finish our meal on both days the staff and management seemed quite annoyed with us! Finally the sun loungers are all obscured from the sun at some point by trees or umbrellas, so you can't pick a sun lounger for the whole day and expect to get direct sun all day. |

Close to the beach. Pool and Hotel grounds were nicer than neighbouring hotels. Staff are friendly. Our so-called family room was too small for 3 people. Food and drinks were expensive. Better (and cheaper) food available at nearby Santa Cruz restaurant. |
