The staff was fabulous! And the location was great as well... Very comfortable hotel.. Felt like it was a luxury bed and breakfast. Would absolutely return there on all my Rome trips and will recommend to all my friends. This is the place to stay in Rome if you want good value and personal care. We loved it! The complimentary Cocktail hour on Friday night was fun and the gourmet free breakfast each day was wonderful! We requested a room in the back of the hotel due to reading reviews that their was 2 gentleman lap dance clubs across the way that might be noisy- That was a mistake. The front rooms had balconies and there was never any noise or problems with these 2 clubs at all... And the back room was a bit noisy as early morning the trash compactors went off for a few minutes each day.. So we woke up each time.

La Residenza is very close to the Spanish Steps and you have easy walking access to many of Rome's ruins and the Vatican. Hard to find initially, but once you get used to Rome's streets easy.

The room and bathroom were both well equipped, clean and provided all of the amenities needed for an overnight stay. The location is also ideal for shopping and restaurants in Rome. Nothing, we were very pleased with the quality of the hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Location near to Piazza di Spagna, Villa Borghese and Metro. We had a 4 person family room number 501, which has a large private roof terrace. Breakfast is very good. Lots of restaurants nearby, however not really cheap ones since this is a hotel area.

I traveled with a large family group ranging in age from 25 to 95. We chose hotel because I had stayed there ten years ago and remembered it positively. Some of the front desk folks were very good, others not so friendly. The breakfast was very good. The cleaning staff was good and we had cocktails in a small living room nightly with a good bartender who also doubled as a bellman. The reservation staff was very helpful organizing tour for us and for getting taxis. In general the staff was accommodating and interested in helping us enjoy the vacation. This hotel is stuck in the seventies- no wi-fi or real Internet service. They told us to go to another hotel for access two blocks away. The hotel is decorated in some older furnishings which could be charming but would be described best as dated with "dusty plastic flowers" Televisions were small and old with ok connections but could be improved. While the location is ok the area has noticeably declined with bars offering lap dances across the street. The hotel needs some attention but the people were nice.

The breakfast was excellent. Wide variety of hot food, very attentive staff would make omelette or get whatever you needed. The front desk sent Italian sparkling wine when I mentioned we were on our honeymoon. The room had a bottle of sparkling water and a fruit bowl on our arrival. The room was nicely decorated king bed very comfortable. The bathroom had a nice rain shower head and full tub. The toilet and bidet were in a narrow area that could be restrictve although neither of us had a problem. The location was very good we walked to the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain.

Our room was very spacious and kept very clean by the chambermaid. Breakfast was very generous and ranged from fried eggs, sausages and tasty Italian bacon to delicious fresh fruit, cold meats and fruit juice. The Hotel staff were very helpful indeed and spoke good English. The Hotel is close to the Barberini Metro station and is just 2 stops from Termini. It's also an easy walk in to the historical centre of Rome with the Trevi Fountain about 15mins stroll away. Other reviews mention the proximity of a lap dancing club which did concern us but it was closed whilst we were there so wasn't an issue. There is another similar club in the next street but that doesn't really reflect the area which seemed pretty up market to us being close to several 4 star hotels and the US Embassy.

There was a coffee machine in every room, but no coffee and apart from the mini bar even a small biscuit or the coffee and the tea was on charge(0,50 € & 1,50€).

Definitely a very quiet, familial and cosy stay in Rome, a few steps from Termini, piazza di Spagna or Fontana di Trevi. We enjoyed the great variety of fruits, italian breads, prosciutto e salumi for breakfast - uncommon in Italy. Relaxing beds and bath after work or long pedestrian trips. Very cooperative staff. Plus a free evening concert in the lounge once a week !

The staff was very pleasant to communicate with. I also liked how the cleaning ladies made their presence hardly visible. The decour was nice as well and the coctail party of Friday evening was an unexpected positive surprise. I was surprised to discover the hotel doesn't have breakfast take away service after which we inquired when travelling to a different town and skipping one breakfast. I had this service in all other 4 star hotels across the world where I happened to stay. I would also suggest there is at least one computer deployed in the ground floor area to allow at least paid access to Internet instead of making the clients go to the Internet cafe in case they travel without laptops/i-pads/etc.

Very good value for money, excellent location, very helpful personnel, this is a really 4 star hotel, you couldn't go there for business or if you wish/need to use your computer because the internet is poor (wireless connection in the lobby and as well the cable in the rooms), but if you don't care about that the rest was fabulous!
