The staff was fabulous! And the location was great as well... Very comfortable hotel.. Felt like it was a luxury bed and breakfast. Would absolutely return there on all my Rome trips and will recommend to all my friends. This is the place to stay in Rome if you want good value and personal care. We loved it! The complimentary Cocktail hour on Friday night was fun and the gourmet free breakfast each day was wonderful! We requested a room in the back of the hotel due to reading reviews that their was 2 gentleman lap dance clubs across the way that might be noisy- That was a mistake. The front rooms had balconies and there was never any noise or problems with these 2 clubs at all... And the back room was a bit noisy as early morning the trash compactors went off for a few minutes each day.. So we woke up each time.

La Residenza is very close to the Spanish Steps and you have easy walking access to many of Rome's ruins and the Vatican. Hard to find initially, but once you get used to Rome's streets easy.

This hotel is in a great location and the staff are very friendly and well informed.Breakfast was wholesome a great start for a day of visiting sites. The hotel was very well presented and clean rooms were spacious and clean , my only little gripe was having to pay for the tea coffee and biscuits left in the room I think these should be free of charge. Overall I consider this a quality hotel giving excellent value and experience to their customers

Location was excellent on a quiet street but close to many of the places of interest. As a solo travellor there were many suitable bars and cafes to eat in.The hotel was close enough to Termini railway station to walk and yet away from the less pleasant surroundings of a station. The hotel itself was immaculate with an innate elegance. The decor and furniture was peaceful and comfortable. In addition to all this the breakfast was great, wide choice. But the most surprising and enjoyable event was the friday night cocktail party!!!!put on by the hotel every week involving food and a harpist!!!!!!!!!The staff on all levels were great. This is the best roman hotel in this price range that I have ever stayed at and highly recommend it.

The hotel is lovely and the front desk staff are fabulous - friendly, knowledgable, multilingual, ... Breakfast is a feast! and you can order espresso, cappuccino, ... in addition to the coffee served. Rooms are comfortable and quiet (with thick windows and shutters), a refuge from noisy Rome. The hotel is nicely located up a slight hill between Barberini Pzza and the Borshese gardens - a lovely place to stroll (free) when recoveering from jet lag. Within walking distance from Trevi fountain, St. Teresa in Ecstasy. just a couple of blocks from the Capuchin Crypt, American Embassy, and a great little grocery store (Despar, on Ludovici and Toscana?). Lots of restaurants and luxury shopping in the area. Staff say yes whenever possible. Our internet line in the room was broken and overworked Andrea offered to try to fix it (wi fi works only in the lobby). Manager tends to say no. No conditioner or moisturizer... You cannot take breakfast food out of the dining room, e.g. to sit in the lobby or on the rooftop.

Our room was very spacious and kept very clean by the chambermaid. Breakfast was very generous and ranged from fried eggs, sausages and tasty Italian bacon to delicious fresh fruit, cold meats and fruit juice. The Hotel staff were very helpful indeed and spoke good English. The Hotel is close to the Barberini Metro station and is just 2 stops from Termini. It's also an easy walk in to the historical centre of Rome with the Trevi Fountain about 15mins stroll away. Other reviews mention the proximity of a lap dancing club which did concern us but it was closed whilst we were there so wasn't an issue. There is another similar club in the next street but that doesn't really reflect the area which seemed pretty up market to us being close to several 4 star hotels and the US Embassy.

Very good value for money, excellent location, very helpful personnel, this is a really 4 star hotel, you couldn't go there for business or if you wish/need to use your computer because the internet is poor (wireless connection in the lobby and as well the cable in the rooms), but if you don't care about that the rest was fabulous!

The room and bathroom were both well equipped, clean and provided all of the amenities needed for an overnight stay. The location is also ideal for shopping and restaurants in Rome. Nothing, we were very pleased with the quality of the hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful.

It was a nice hotel on a quiet street. The people at the front desk were very helpful. All the small rooms on the first floor were lovely and nice to use. I think that the bathroom could have been cleaner. There was mold in the shower. I would have liked glass, glasses in the bathroom not the small plastic ones given.

The reception staff are extremely pleasant, welcoming and helpful. Other members of staff that we came into contact with were lovely. La Residenza has one of the best breakfast selections I have come across in hotels. We love the location of the hotel - it's in a nice area and many of the main attractions are within reasonable walking distance. This was our second visit to La Residenza and it will definitely not be our last. Hope to go again soon!

“Lovely hotel. Extremely well cared for, very clean, exceptionally friendly staff all of which make the slightly dated decor charming. The location is good provided you don't mind a little bit of a walk to the centre - about 20 minutes' gentle walk from Trevi and the centre of Rome; 40 minutes from Colosseum; and 55 minutes from Vatican (but taxis are cheap and there's a metro very close by too). There are loads of excellent restaurants very close by in the quiet neighbourhood if you don't fancy straying far afield. The staff are what makes this place - so friendly and helpful, they will give you advice, book tours, and arrange taxis. We had a lovely time and do recommend Hotel Londra & Cargill.” Stacey, London |
