Overall stay was very pleasant, staff was friendly and very professional. The one highlight that stood out above all else was the buffet breakfast which we found marvelous! We would stay again just for the breakfast. Front desk staff very helpfull in recommending restaurants, money exchange and all other requests. Bed larger than a cal king and extremely comfortable.
The only thing that could have been considered a negative was one of the bathroom lights was out upon our arrival. Desk was made aware and bulb was replaced very promptly with sincere apologies from the front desk. Staff takes their responsibilities very seriously.
Nice rooms, good bathrooms, great staff, great old world ambience and style. Nice breakfast variety for level of hotel.
Nothing negative comes to mind.
We discovered this wonderfful haven several years ago. We just returned from another stay at LaResidenza are were just as impressed. This hotel has it all, location, cleanliness, friendly, helpful staff and oh, my! the breakfast buffet!
The breakfast was unbelievable. Our bed was huge. The hotel was classy.
I loved everything!
Lovely, comfortable hotel in a quiet area, but near to the main sites. Excellent rooms, with a fantastic breakfast, which even impressed our two teenage sons.
It was our first visit to Italy and La Residenza made it special. The staff was very pleasant and friendly from the moment we arrived until our departure. It was just the type of place we were looking for with a feel of Italy. The hotel was very clean and the room was spacious. Breakfast was excellent everyday. The staff was great with the kids. The location was perfect walking distance to all. Excellent restaurants nearby. I would certainly stay at La Residenza again.
Helpful, friendly, English speaking staff Well appointed, comfortable rooms Staff helpful and ready to book tours, taxis, and give restaurant recommendations Splendid breakfast to start the day Small, boutique hotel (rather than the large, luxurious hotels in the area) on quiet side street, welcoming entrance, flowers
Wi-Fi spotty at times
Wifi internet service was poor
La Residenza is a good hotel, in a good location. Accessible to all locations, very clean & the staff is very helpful. Good experience
Nothing special except the Air Condition was a bit low
Good location. Helpful staff and lovely breakfast. When leaving hotel turn right, go down the stairs , then right again. This takes you to barberini area where you can find cafés bars etc and metro station.
Bathroom clean but needs refurbished.
Great location, great staff, great breakfast.
room clean and spacious, very close to city centre, excellent price/quality ratio; good breakfast.
Breakfast and facilities are great! There is a taxi stand around the corner, don't use the front desk to avoid the 3 to 5 euros charge
One of the front desk attendants (Mr. Marini) can be rude when you ask for help or directions. Somehow sarcastic.
When we arrived we were fronted with a very route reception person who not only after a such a long trip gave me hard time on family members. We were 3 adults and one kid I booked the room for three adults and did not mention the kid, because he would sleep with us in our bed and only my older son would need a bed. Not only they got extra money for my older son but they charged my little child as well. I would never recommend this hotel to any other family, because the hotel is very old and smells, and they charged me 410 dollars a night for a two star hotel, which with this money I could get a 5 star hotel. The staff at the Hotel la Residenza were amazing. I was travelling with my young son (8 months old) and the staff could not have been more accommodating - from carrying my pram up/down front steps, arranging for a travel cot, bringing highchair to the table at breakfast -- all these things were done with a smile. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the location was fantastic. I will definitely book a stay here again if I return to Rome.
Front desk personnel, so helpful, so friendly! Lobby Breakfast Rooms Beds
Bathtubs and shower
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was unbelievable, beautiful, and very well prepared. The building was beautiful, clean, and well maintained.
Friendly and helpful personnel at the reception snd un breakfast room.Beautuful several lobby rooms. Large room. Location of only 3 minutes walk to Via Veneto and 15 minutes to the Spanish stairs
WI Fi connection slow or not working sometimes. If u want to have a WIFI in your room you need to rent a router but it is only 5 € for the whole stay.It is free in the lobby.
Staff was very serviceable and we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was very nice and room clean. Hotel is near to the Spanish steps, and very good placed in order to go anywhere.
Wonderful breakfast, day manager was great, location was superb. A bit pricey but worth it. Would highly recommend! Bill and Nicole from Canada.
Great hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. Staff was extremely helpful with directions, etc. and gave us great places to eat at local restaurants. Stayed at La Residenza at the beginning of our trip and then returned at the end of our trip. Best breakfast to be had at all the hotels we stayed at in Italy. Loved the bathrobes that were supplied. Would definitely return!!
My wife and I loved Hotel La Residenza. Location. Location. Location. -- It's no more than a 20 min walk anywhere (main Termini train station, Colosseum, Pantheon, etc.) It's a 10 min walk to Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Bourgese Gardens/Museum. Vatican is a bit far (30-40 min walk), but it's a 5 min walk to nearest Metro stop (which will take you to the Vatican for 1.50 euro). Staff -- Super nice, friendly, and helpful. English speaking, of course. Breakfast -- Oh. My. God. Not only is it one of the largest, widest display I've ever seen, it was beautifully set up. Each morning, you step down from one of the offshoots of the huge lobby, into a beautifully decorated banquet room with canopied main center table, with all kinds of hot/cold foods you can imagine. And they even open early at 6:45, for when you have early tours planned. Hotel Overall: Beautiful red carpet, canopied entrance. Stunning lobby, with different offshoot rooms with sofas and easy chairs, perfect place for hanging out with friends in the evenings, all parts of the lobby ornately decorated. Rooms: I can only speak for my room, but I definitely recommend upgrading (for only a bit more) to get a Jr Suite. Many European hotel rooms are small, but this was larger than most hotels I've been in. Some suites have balconies (ours did). Large bathroom, excellent maid service. In fact, they have a policy of leaving your room key at the front desk when you leave for the day. Makes it easy. Plus, they know when you're gone. So in addition to daily maid service, we'd come back in the evening to our bed turned down, with chocolates on the pillows. Classy. Internet: Very important to be able to feel like you're in touch with the outside world. For 5 Euros (per stay, not per day), they provide you with a router for your room, which works great. Never a problem, full signal. All in all, fantastic place.
Could be a tiny bit hard to find, off a little side street, but we had no trouble. Also, don't expect views of famous landmarks, as it's not right near them. But these are obviously very minor things.
Perfect location, very helpful staff, fabulous breakfast, very comfortable boutique hotel
Large airy room with huge bed. Good breakfast with choices, great location for all the major attractions. Really friendly and helpful staff.
