The Twentyone is a modern boutique hotel on Via Cola di Rienzo, one of Rome's best shopping streets. Castel Sant'Angelo and the historic center are just a pleasant 10-minute walk away.

This hotel is a little jewel for a Rome tourist. It is away from the crowds in a quiet, upscale area. One block from the U. S. Embassy. The value is fantastic. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast buffet is excellent. A late breakfast allows for a full day of touring with no stop required for lunch.
The people who work there, from top to bottom are so kind and friendly
the shower could be updated
Beds to hard
Highly recommend this hottel.
Helpful, friendly staff. Good location. Beautiful building and decor. Lovely big room - huge comfortable bed. No noise. Very pleasant stay.
Breakfast Room size Proximity to tourist attractions Helpful reception staff
Charge for coffee in room No restaurant apart from breakfast
The location was great, this is a beautiful area of the city and within easy access to the sites we wanted to visit as well as the metro. Breakfast is excellent! Large room and bathroom.
The room had a terrible, strong musty smell, which I thought would be resolved with opening a window, but it did not dissipate. In hindsight I should have asked for another room; I can't believe that the staff (the maids, the man who took our luggage to the room) was unaware of the odor. Some of my clothes picked up the smell as well. There was a dehumidifier on a table in the hall, perhaps there is some sort of moisture problem. Had it not been for this I would have given this hotel good to excellent ratings in all areas.
great breakfast,very clean,location,the staff.
Location is excellent, a few minutes walk from the Metro and Piazza di Spagna. Magnificent old hotel.
We have booked a quadruple room but received a 2 bedroom with 2 additional beds made from a chair and a sofa. We have requested a change but were told that no quadruples were available. The hotel used to be a magnificent one but suffers from poor maintenance.
Very unpleasant stay in this hotel. Staff at the reception and in breakfast room were very rude to us during the whole week we staid there. Sometimes even verbally aggressive. We suspect that it might be connected to the fact that we are a gay couple.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is fantastic and the room is very large. They also offer free wi-fi in the lobby and also wi-fi in the room for a $5 flat rate for the whole stay. Great Value.
Pillows were a bit hard.
The staff was extremely cordial and helpful. The room was quiet. Location was great. Breakfast was abundant and of excellent quality. We had a private terrace!
The usual inconveniences associated with older hotels in Europe. Showers, blow driers and beds are less than desirable. Bathrooms never seem to have appropriate shelf space for toiletries.
Location The girls who helped in the restraunt in the mornings ....
The bad unhelpful arrogant and very rude manager and misleading times I was given about the Papal audiance I would stay again but only under new management
This is our 3rd trip to Rome in the last10 years and we use La Residenza as a "home base" for our Rome sightseeing as well as for trips outside the city. We've recommended it to friends too. Love the Via Veneto convenience without the Via Veneto price tag.
Charging an additional 6 Euro city tax per person per night was ridiculous especially since we were told it was 3. i know it is not the hotel's fault but something needs to be done about it. Staff could have been friendlier.
Pretty much everything was perfect: - bedroom was fantastic. OK we were upgraded to a junior suite with its own terrace but it was fabulous - breakfast was a very comprehensive buffet - staff were very professional and helpful - public rooms were beautiful - location was very convenient
Very dark and quiet room for a good night sleep Great position Nice breakfast
One person at reception and not very helpful; No concierge; Very old with an awful toilet under the ground floor at reception; Terrible bathroom with plastic dustbins
Staff was excellent. Breakfast excellent. Could not ask for a better location. Within walking distance to many of the cites, but a few blocks away from the noise and crowds. Common areas made you feel as if you were in a large older residence instead of a hotel. Room was clean and comfortable.
It is an older property. Bathroom fixtures and amenities could use updating.
- quiet at night - staff helpful and attentive - comfortable bed - good location for walking to many sites, metro and bus 5 minutes away.
- Mold and peeling paint above the bathtub - extra charges for wifi in room, plus for tea bags and instant coffee seem rather excessive
The staff, the quite room, the breakfast and the location close to Piazza di Spagna e Villa Borguese.
Front desk erratic. Great directions, helpful hints. Had a problem or two that needed help with. Very impatient with our companions.
good location, perfect service, brekfest
Best breakfast in Rome!
Excellent and very helpfull staff (especially many thanks to Vincenzo, who was always very friendly and ready to help). The breakfasts was great. The room is quite spacious and clean. Great location - really close to the city centre and the metro station.
The only thing I don't like, is that free WiFi is only available in the hall. In the room you have to pay.
