Very friendly staff. Location right next to lake with great views from balcony. Food and wine were excellent and a good choice of options from budget to gormet. Breakfast included was very good. Room was comfortable.

In daytime the road was very busy on the weekend we stayed.

Breakfast is a delight - Various homemade Croissants, Apple Tart and Jams. Gorgeous Muesli and Cornflakes. Fresh whole and mixed Fruit daily and a large bowl of fresh Strawberries. Large bowls of delicious Blackberry and plain Yoghurts. Lovely choices of various pastries. Choices of cold meats, cheeses, pate, the list goes on and on. Good fruit juices and tea and coffee. Although we had only booked Bed & Breakfast, we had Evening Meals at the hotel 6 out of 7 nights. Again the meals were very nice, especially the homemade Pasta starters. Second helpings were almost always offered, that were very welcome for such a hungry lot after a days walking. We would like to thank Angelo for preparing such tasty meals, even making us all a Tirimuso on one occasion, by request. This is a great hotel with a lovely restaurant with very helpful and kind staff and we would recommend it to anyone. Our stay was very enjoyable.

Upon arrival we found some rooms were inconsistent to what we had actually booked through booking.com with regard to size and price paid. Not all Superior Rooms were 17 sq.mts. and some Standard Rooms were larger than 14 sq.mts. - this despite the prices paid to reflect the difference. As all the rooms that we occupied were moreorless to a same standard with the exception of size, we feel that maybe Standard, Superior and Executive, could be better described by booking.com to reflect the prices paid. Our group occupied all 3 standards and differing prices. Despite these comments, the staff did offer alternative rooms to accommodate our needs.

Very cosy, nicely decorated little place with a view to Lago Maggiore. Very helpful and hospitable staff who made it feel like we stay at our grandma's country house. Fascinating breakfast! If you tavel by train e.x. from Milan, you might find the location a bit remote. This is however very relative... We had no problem to have a 30-mins walk from the train station along the coastline to the hotel. If you travel by car, the location is perfect and a free parking is also available. Highly recommended! Excellent conditions for a very reasonable price.

Most rooms are facing the lake and you could sit out in the balcony enjoying the view. The bed and pillows are comfortable, with firm mattress which is quite important for a good night sleep. The car park is right opposite the hotel which is very convenient. But it is not within walking distance to Stresa town centre as it is still a few minutes drive away and walking along the side of the road could be quite dangerous. Their homemade pastry and croissants are absolutely great, by far the best breakfast from a 2-star hotel. The restaurant is also of good quality, worth trying. I booked the economy room by mistake and didn't realise the bathroom is on the other side of the corridor, opposite the room. But it is not too bad. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Very good service.

It could get very noisy if you open the balcony door because there is traffic right in front of the hotel. The lighting in the restaurant is far too bright. If the lighting can be tune down a bit, it will add a more cosy feeling to match the atmosphere, especially the place has been renovated recently. The interior is well decorated but needs better control of light to bring out the class of a restaurant.

We stayed at Hotel Ristorante La Sacca for one night while driving through Italy. The location was beautiful, right across the road from a beautiful lake and view of the mountains. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful for information about area attractions. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom spacious. The included breakfast was very good, and there was ample free parking right across the road. Free wifi was only available in the lobby. Make sure to arrive by 9pm, as the lobby and front desk close then.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The owners were just brilliant in going an extra mile for helping me out with the food in restaurant as I was vegetarian and also arrived at odd hours. The hotel team members were very helpful in booking a taxi everytime I needed. Good food in the restaurant. Easy travel to Stresa and the view from the room balcony over the lake was the best thing in morning.

Hotel Sacca is In great location across the road from lake maggiore. It was good to be able to escape the business of Stresa, but still only be a few minutes away. Very friendly staff and our room facing the lake was fantastic. The food in the restaurant was probably the best we have had while in Italy.

The hotel was located on Lago Maggiore and so we had lovely views of the lake from our room, which had a balcony. The hotel was located a short drive away from Stresa and it had its own car park.

Position, great breakfast with homemade cakes, the staff can speak French and Deutch

Not really value for money, our room was little and , in my opinion , they have to readjust interior design ( I don't like their zebra-striped cushion and blanket...)

unbelievable price-quality ratio! splendid view right in front of the lake, ample secure private parking, 2 minutes driving from Stresa, excellent breakfast (with home-made strudel and home made jams!), very nice staff, clean rooms, wifi perfectly working from our room and free.....! absolutely the very best price-quality hotel I have ever been

the only thing you need to look out is that when you go out during the nite, you must bring with you the plastic key card they give you. We forgot it and were lucky that had the mobile phone number of the owner who had to come to the front door and open it for us. I would recommend them to change the plastic key card with a security code at front door

I can say this hotel would be the best choice for the ppl who are looking for the budget hotel. especially for whom traveling by car but I'm sure it can be reached by bus & foot. It's very clean, well organized with kind staffs, good location, great breakfast. some practical tips 1. don't bring slippers, hair dryer, sewing kit, shampoo & body cleanser. this hotel has everything 2. try the restaurant on the ground floor run by this hotel. I didn't have chance bc I already booked other restaurants (ranked #1, 2, 3 at tripadvisor.com) but they were not so satisfying. this restaurant has a good reputation, reasonable price and a good view of lake maggiore. 3. ask the room with air-conditioning if you think you can't tolerate hot summer in italy. I'm not sure if every single room has an air-conditioning. my room didn't have it. 4. Don't forget insect repellent spray or cream because this zone(not a hotel's fault) has a lot of insects thanks to the lake i guess. I got a bite and it was really painful. 5. Useful Tip! how to find the your bathroom outside of room(if you stay economic room). I was so confused at the first time. it's on the hall way just like other rooms.the door says 'private' (that's why I was confused!) no sign like 'toillet' or 'bathroom'. you can see your room number above the bathroom door. it's private and clean. 6. Don't forget to bring access card(for the main gate of the hotel) if you are coming back very late. we forgot the key when we went out so worried but when we came back after midnight (00:30am) it was opened with night staff but it doesn't have 24hr reception dest so bring your card just for the case. it's normal credit-card size plastic card so you can bring in your wallet.

1. no air-conditioning. but you can change the room with air-conditioning (and pay more). in this area it's really hard to find a room with this price and this quality so you can't complain. 2. croissant. the breakfast was really great with home made breads & jams& seasoned plum. yogurt, fruits, cereals, juice, ham and cheese, etc... almost perfect (except this littel defect). if you ignore the croissant, then you can enjoy the breakfast with happy smile.

Very good kitchen. They actually got a second place in the regio for their food. Very frindly and helpful people.

This is a great hotel right on the lakefront on the outskirts of the beautiful town of Stresa with excellent facilities and a very good restaurant.

Unfortunately the main road past the hotel is very busy, especially at weekends, with cars and motor cycles speeding by. Also it is felt that the extras like tea, coffee and drinks were overpriced.

Initially chosen due to location, cost, free parking and wifi. Pleasantly surprised by standard of the room and the lake views. Staff very helpful and fluent in many languages. However, the meal in the hotel restaurant was fantastic. Often hotel restaurants leave a lot to be desired, however this family operation served up one of the best steaks and home made pasta dishes my wife and I have had - anywhere. And certainly the best meal we have had in the five weeks travelling Europe on this occasion. Well done!

No elevator to move luggage up two flights of stairs. No inroom bar fridge. No airconditioning (but big open balcony windows went some way to make up for it)

I liked the hydro bathtub, the sweetness of employees too.

Crossing the road to hotel parking is very dangerous.

A very clean comfortable hotel with lovely hotel staff. Breakfast Display was good with a lot of choice for Vegetarians. Shower Jel had a great smell. If you have a car then a very pleasant hotel with lovely views of the Lake.

Nicely decorated rooms, very nice staff with multi-language skills and very good breakfast with homemade specialties.

More difficult to reach without a car.

Great restaurant and the staff were really friendly and helpful, the parking was good as well as its a couple of miles outside Stresa.
