Friendly and helpfull reception, near the beach, good restaurants nearby and the suite was great, nice, clean and lots of space!
I'm terms of cleanliness it was ok but not brilliant. Better not look underneath the bed. Wifi worked a it should. Breakfast was alright. As usual in Italy plenty of choice of sweet things, but hardly any savoury options. If you love cake, you will love the breakfast. We liked that you can have the breakfast in the pretty outside area of the hotel. English skills were not existing but still everybody was very friendly and tried to make our stay as nice as possible. The hotel is only a 5 min stroll to the beach and you get two chairs (no sunbeds) and an umbrella included. The beach might not be super pretty but very clean and a great spot to watch amazing sunsets. If you decide to go there, definitely make a trip to the old town of Tarquinia.
First thing you note when you arrive is the poor parrot in it's tiny cage. It doesn't look very healthy/happy. And I doubt they ever let him out of his prison. Old rooms, old fashioned and run down furniture. Very small bed. rooms are very small and the balcony is tiny, hardly enough for two people to sit out there. In general we felt we didn't get enough for our money. Tarquinia lido is dead and looks abandoned and most of the buildings could do with some fresh paint and refurbishing. If you have more than two days, I'd not go there but make the effort and go to a nicer Beach. We Wouldn't go there again. coming from rome it might be a better idea to go to amalfi coast or further north into Tuscany.
I liked the location, close to the beach.
I did'nt like like all the animals in the reception: a parrot, a dog and lots of cats (also in the dining room).
Amazing staff and generous breakfast. Excellent position
frather poor command of languages other than italian.
Staff did not speak good English. Was hard to communicate.
Lovely property, charning staff and the best collazione I experienced, but that was nothing compared to the service. My niece experienced a minor medical emergency that required an emergency room visit. The owner came from his home, at 9:30 pm, drove us to the hospital, waited with us for two hours and brought us back to the hotel! We missed dinner, so he took us to La Saline, the restaurant next door, right after closing, and asked them to make us pasta. They did and it was excellent. Both places exemplify the best of Italian hospitality!
As I am travelling around Italy for 3 months, I chose it because I could get all my washing done. The owners could not have been more helpful.... sadly I couldn't stay a second night, as they were full the next night with a wedding party. Highly recommend it.
The fact that all I was given for breakfast was a selection of either mini croissants and sweet cake... don't stop this from going though...
