La Torre di Ro is so much more than a great B&B, it's a royal experience! From the first glimpse of the tower on the drive up to Capodimonti, thru the marble stairways inside, into your room and onto the terrace with views of Naples in every direction, you will feel like royalty in your castle. Culture exudes from original artwork and classic furnishings as music drifts in the air. The talented owner has brought together an amazing space to share with guests.
- Owners are super friendly - Place is just exclusive, magic, unique!!! - Wake up with Naples view in front of our bed. 360 view in the last two rooms - I have already recommended it to my friends...
- Stairs to get to the rooms (not a problem at all for us, young couple, but could be a problem for people who have difficulty walking)
I chose this property for it's quirkiness.Who couldn't resist that amazing tower? It didn't disappoint. An 800 year old building lovingly maintained and refurbished in a very personal way by the owners. The apartment was wo derful with stunning views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. It's close proximity to the airport was an important factor for us as we arrived late at night. We loved it so much that we returned for our last night before flying home.GPS is a must to find this property. We didn't have it,so I apologise once again to Russo and his partner for our late arrival.
Clean and tidy, ancient (1850) and authentic. Quiet. Parking. Breathtaking view. The hostess was really nice and supportive. Fixed Capodimonte - Capodichino taxi rate - 19 euro. Pizzerias in the neighborhood offer delicious pizzas starting from 3 euro. Walking distance (25 min) from the center.
Not critical but rooms are quite small.
Amazing location : in an old tower on the hill top of Napoli kind of surrealistic! The house is decorated with a lot of art pieces and the owner Rosaria is an artist herself. The place has a lot of character. Staff was so kind, warm and welcoming. They woke up at 6:00 am to make a breakfast as I was leaving early. Try La Reggia restaurant in the same street: great Pizza.
Nothing: if you don't mind walking a bit (the place is not that central) it's perfect. If you are alone: try to book the nuptial room: you will get a nice balcony with view.
Location, staff, view
Everything - main strong point is the historical and architectural aspect of the facility. The hostess and her staff are so lovely - I cannot say enough good things about her and her staff... they made my stay in Naples so much better. Wait til you see the view from your room! And then go to the rooftop and you will be in for a treat that is not easily surpassed. Such good value.
Hostess was lovely and accomadating, great view of naples and vesuvius. The garden was pretty. Not what we originally booked, no wifi at all and bed was a sofa bed and uncomfortable but overall good stay
owner and staff were wonderful
Very hard to find entrance
Absolutely everything! The property itself is a work of art, steeped in history and irreplaceable. It is truly an architectural gem. The view from every suite is second to none and there is an even better view from the very top (inside the turret). The hostess Rosario is so very lovely, as is her assistant Nina. Many of the furnishings are vintage and there are works of art in various forms (ceramics, oil painting, sculpture, sketching) all over everywhere in the forms. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and wholeheartedly endorse any suite that is available. Such good value..... thank you again Rosario and Nina.
The haze/smog over the city that tended to lessen the impact of the view though most days the haze cleared off, allowing a breathtaking view in all directions.
view was wonderful beautiful old building staff was very kind and friendly
location was a bit hard to find many stairs to climb would be difficult for older visitors
Quiet area (silence during night is gold valued in Naples) Very original place and stylish Fantastic view on Naples and its bay
Out of the main touristical areas (public transportation needed if not good walker) Skills in italian required Light breakfast "in the italian way"
Huge, gorgeous apartment and was very well stocked for your choice of breakfast foods. Private garden overlooking the old city below. This was an enchanting night in a castle below a huge tower!
Everything was amazing! No bad comments.
Location, view, parking, tidynes & originality of interieur of room, hospitality of landlady.
Low water pressure, no warm water in the morning, poor breakfast. There are lot of steps that could be a problem for guests with limited fysical condition. It is well part of the atmosphere of the tower!
